  • Whatever...Who cares? Egg-like eyed, shallow moron...

  • que sexy el chico

  • Punta del Este in Uruguay is soooo much better!!!!

    ;-D

  • I think Argentina would be exciting. It's like the immersion approach to learning a new language.

  • Davey... I love your blogs! I've been to Buenos Aires several times, and I always love hearing stories of Americans in other countries. I think your culture shock is very cute ;)

I'm fluent in Spanish, but Argentines definitely speak a very specific dialect and have a very marked accent. I'm sure you still loved the whole experience, though. Buenos Aires is absolutely beautiful.

  • Just an observation.....everybody somehow speaks people......it's like magic. I was in Mozambique, Egypt oh hell everywhere, of course I can speak Spanish and French, unfortunately only at Taco Bells and Au Bon Pain here in the states....LOL.....but I found...it's easy, just be u they will be them and you get your burger, maybe tomato, but you burp....LOL

  • I'm late with these blog Dave. I've been places where if they spoke Spanish I would be ahead of the game. I'm sure you are back, every thing went well, I won't find out until next month or so as I insist on going crono with these vids.

  • oh and btw next time dont go alone to Argentina its much better going with some1 :]]

  • I am from Buenos Aires but i live in Europe. Though i lived there with the Economic thingy wich happened a few years ago but it was still amazing :D

  • You're doing really well...kudos!

  • 3. Without a doubt best places to eat are in Las Canitas (I recomend a rest. called El Estanciero). This area is full of young hip/trendy locals. A second suggestion is a rest. called Lomo in the Palermo Viejo neighborhood (on Costa Rica near Armenia) I believe metro stop is plaza Italia.

lastly don't forget to say hi to Evita on the famous Recoleta cemetery...hope this helps;-)

  • I was in B.A. two years ago & absolutely loved it. Here's a couple of suggestions:

1.Recoleta, Palermo Soho & Palermo Viejo are the neighborhoods where you want to be.

    2. For going out/hanging out try Santa Fe ave. (lots of trendy/gay boutiques, bars.)

  • Find where the fear is and resolve to confront it otherwise it will hold you back from the fun and let go of home your journey has begun

  • nothing wrong with a good cry ~ hang in there mate ~ before you know it you will be just like a local

    hugs

    Phil

  • Listen Lady,

Stop feeling sorry for yourself and get out there and explore - remember this ?

I thought that it would be a good idea to list some of the things that I want to create/see/do in Buenos Aires. 1. I want to try lots of new food 2. I want to make at least three good friends 3. I want to significantly improve my Spanish 4. I want to see a waterfall (<-- ooo good one!) 5. I want to get a beautiful piece of art for my new condo

Well get going ! And keep us updated !

  • Fix that sound please its giving me a headache in my eye !!!!!!!!!!

  • What kind of world is it then since its not first? If the guys are anything like their rugby team then at least you have a eye candy to keep a smile on your face. Go to Rio next time.

  • yes!!!! Bad static....clean this up guys....we need better techno communicado, yes?

  • Oh your so cute, really wish I could hear you clear but seems a bit of a crackle from your mic?. Stay cool hugs andy + wen

  • My ex-roommate is from Argentina and is living there now. he's cute, straight, and speaks english. maybe he can show you around...email me if you want to get in contact with him.

  • in less than a week - you'll be totally into it... you are just expanding your comfort zone at the moment. stick with it!! you will be glad you did!

  • you better do some good things while you're there so the good karma flows evenly, you may be rewarded, in teh english speaking type of way, -ash

  • Seriously, what is your problem? Buenos Aires is an amazing cosmopolitan city. It was voted the 2nd best city to travel in the world just a couple of months ago. If you've never been there, don't prejudge please

  • i know know one place in this earth i definiteley will never be going to, buenos aires, so dave something good has come of this, and i am sure you will recieve some good karma for educating us the hell whole that is buenos aires, i only hope you find something better sooner and not later, wouldn't it suck if you found this whole other world there on the last day and they spoke english and everything had ketchup (tomato sauce where i come from),

  • don't get dissappointed and just have fun there. Think about what if you're in a different country that might be even harder than the place you're on? All that matters is that you're having a great time and enjoy your time!

  • Hi, I really think in time there you will enjoy the time you spent. One idea is to find one thing each day that you gets a smile or laugh. Oh, and say hello,or hola to new people you never know what will turn up from that. Best wishes, and take care of you.

  • Anyone else getting static? It's hurting my ears, but I can't stop watching....

  • Dave, hey babe its been awhile since I been youtube but was excited to see you in your next adventure. We have seen a vulnerable side of you which I don't think you like to show that much. Just remember I love to watch the videos...does that make me a fan....but I feel I am there. Your awesome Dave....a hug goes to you.

  • Welcome, Dave!

I have a problem with the audio, hard to hear you!

Hope that you have a great time!

If need help (another market, maybe :P ) , drop me a line!

    See ya!

  • you'll be fine and you probably wont want to leave at the end. try going to montevideo (it is supposed to be a totally trippy experience, sort of like going back in time). and definitely got to the iguazu falls

  • have you checked out the neighbours ? do tell !

  • Why are you there...is it for school or working or what..I am a new subscriber...rich

  • stick to it, baby. You're educating the rest of us stuck at home.

  • I thought u were Canadian

  • In Argentina u should take advantage of seeing the Iguazu falls! When I was there last year they were amazing! And where do u plan on going after Buenos aires?

  • Iguazu falls are in Brazil, near Foz.

  • you can see them from argentina too

  • I'm really interested in seeing what your day 60 blog will be like. I'm interested to know if you'll love it or if you'll be screaming ready to go just as much (or more) as you are now. You'll be fine, cutey! Relaaaaax! :-)

  • When are you accepting houseguests? I can be your translator! :)

Perhaps a quick look at soytuyo(dot)com might give you an interesting companion or 10.

Chin up and find a way to love it!

  • I hear they don't put ice in their ice tea either. Customs are interesting.

  • Good luck getting out of your 6 block radius. Maybe start small, each day adding a new block. :)

  • oh have fun jeez im stuck here......=( school sux <3 you (well not really but like since i really dont know you that well but like yeahhhh!)

  • Yeah you can definitely tell the difference on the bandwidth between Toronto and Argentina... lol.

Don't worry... you're just in a new place and (very) strange surroundings. You will find your footing and your comfort zone and before you know it you will be guiding B.A. tours !

  • I am here wherever you go :)

  • Sorry that the sound sucks!

  • Wow... Nice hotel room!
