@viperkeeper I have an Eastern female garter snake named Nagini (from harry potter) and I was thinking of mating it with a male Canadian garter snake. Is that possible?
@viperkeeper Well, I'm not an expert with snakes but I know a fair amount about them (I'm only 13 by the way) and I just want to see what the babies look like. Maybe I shouldn't because, well, I'm not an experienced breeder and I don't want Nagini to get hurt or anything.
About your autofocus: whatever takes up the most area in your shot is what the sensors lock onto. So, for instance, if the snake (or whatever) is 35% of the composition and your background is 65%, then the autofocus will target the larger percentage. Lighting is also a factor. If your background is brighter than the target, that may make a difference in some models at close-range shooting. Cool videos, BTW.
Im not sure if I am saying this right but do you have a mang shing viper I think thats right its a type of mountain viper from china I believe just asking because thats my favorite type of snake
A friend of mine claims he encountered a wild King Cobra somewhere in Southern California. Supposably "this area" is notorious for wild kings. I didn't think this is possible and I insist he most likely misidentified it. Wild Ophiophagus hannah couldn't survive in this environment could they?
@viperkeeper Yeah that's what I thought when I first heard this story. In addition to that, he claims he stepped on one. If someone were to step on a king, I seriously doubt they would live to tell about it.
Crappy day til I heard pogo-stick with venom. Thank you for making my day and for posting your vids. They are beautiful animals. Keep up the great work!

@pornpan96isGay cutegayjason is another snake keeper on here that really loves his snakes and other animals. That cute little cobra is going to be very demanding of the camera's attention. ;-)
You are officially one of my heroes. That snake reminds me of a cat in it's overall demeanor. The way you interact with the snakes is really amazing. You treat them with kindness and respect and I think they can sense that. That's why I believe this cobra isn't in attack mode. One of these days (after some good training), I would like to work with these type of snakes. My favorite are Elapids, but I would be happy to work with any. Thanks for the inspiration.
Hey I have a question. Is it true that snakes can only see in infrared light (IOW, thermal vision, where they can sense the body heat given off from other living things)? Just wondering...
its weird that even though the snake is just on my LCD my body is still in high alert mode, I guess my instincts are responding to the image of the snake.. any thoughts?

Today my friend asked me to go see 4 king cobras in a guy's back yard. I said, WHAT??? I immediately went to the store and bought a canon 500d with 720p video and we hit the road. 20 minutes later I'm looking at a number of (5+) monocled cobras in 1.5Liter water bottles. They're keeping them under some newspapers. It was sad and yet, still exciting as I've wanted to catch one for a while just not been ready. I gave some $ and he gave me 2! Videos to follow. I have an aquarium & will video feeds

Are Your Snakes Calm All The Time Or Are Thy Vicious?
StanKingston420 2 years ago
First let's fix so of the words you're using.
No snake is vicious, they can be foul & short tempered but not vicious.
Snakes react to their enviroment, if you don't frighten them they act calm, if you frighten them they have a tendency to frighten you back..get it?
