Dude, LEARN about your firearm before sharing incorrect information with others. There is no such thing as a double action glock23. It's called striker fired. Ur just like another one of those filipino's that work at a nursing home or a hospital because it's the only easy way out in the u.s. And always give out false reports to the emergency medical service. LEARN about your gun.
@thahchad1987 : if your talking about the video descriptions info that say { Action Safe Action (constant double action mode) !! well i coped that form a website and never paid attention to the info but i will fix it !! thank you any way .
Speaking of firepower, you can get the glock 19 (9mm) and use a glock 18 magazine. The glock 18 magazine holds 33 rounds, and if you put a +2 baseplate on it then it holds 35 rounds. So the glock 19 can have 35+1 rounds of 9mm
@anarchy3155 : i do know that glock 19 take's 33 rounds, but i didnt know you can add 2 more rounds !! to be honest with you when i was looking for a gun i was saying to my self i will get the 45 ACP then i end up with 40 s&w but when i fired the +p 9mm i was like wow nothing wrong with 9mm as long as it's hollow point and +p !! thats why i got my PF9 9mm !!
Just a question for anyone who is Law Enforcement or knows a LE officer... Is the Glock 23 a good choice as a duty weapon and will departments allow officers to choose the weapon they carry? Or would an officer have to stick to a standard size Glock 22?
@usmc1634 The glock 23 is the duty weapon of both the FBI and the DEA because it is light, great for concealed carry and has a large amount of ammo (15 round duty mag) with the power of a .40 cal S&W, I just bought a glock 23 for an off duty weapon and as a secondary ankle weapon when Im on duty.
I live in south Florida so the 23 is probably not going to be my concealed carry gun, although I really wish it could have been.I am going with my second choice,a Glock 27.Thanks for the video.
@prasinos37 I live in Tampa I carry the Glock 23 all day everyday. Its not bad at all its all in the holster bro. Nice choice on the 27 tho! I want a Glock 20 next.
Do you know the difference between the .45ACP & the 45 GAP cartridge as far as recoil & overall stopping power? Apparently that cartridge has the same power as .45ACP but I'm not so sure about that. Ufortunatley living in Canada makes it hard for me to fire these pistols so therefore I only have a chance when I visit my family in Florida. Any insight?
I wanted to ask how the recoil is on the 23 as opposed to the 19? I've fired the 19 & I know the 23 has the same dimensions. Can you give some input on that?
@MrJo1340 40 kicks more with the new spring on the gen 4 its a little better but it is still going to kick more then the 9. the 9 is like 5 bucks a box cheaper then the 40 to keep in mind if you plan on practicing alot now if you do get a 9mm do plan on carrying hollow point as long as you carry good ammo a 9 will work its the people in the gheto shouting each other with target ammo that gett shot 9 times and are still moving with all that said i have a 40
@ecosby100 II understand that the 40 is a bigger round than the 9mm, but @ the end of the day isn't it about "shot placement?" if you hit one in the head & 1 in the chest, does it really matter? I think the Glock.40 is a fantastic pistol for it's size, but I notice that a lot of ppl put so much empahisis on calibre these days. Bigger isn't always better. I think @ the end of the day it comes down to what your'e comfortable with most.
@MrJo1340 "I think @ the end of the day it comes down to what your'e comfortable with most." i agree, i learned that today at the shooting range shooting 4 different handguns and 2 rifles. one was the glock 23 and it was very accurate and comfortable to hold. that was the 2nd glock ive used and both were impressive to me. glocks are the way to go imo.
I like mine too-very much...I bought a G27 for other concealment as well, but the 27 isn't my first choice due to amount of muzzle whip. It always fires, no malfunctions or stoppages, lightweight, ease of mx and operation...there's plenty of praise for it-great handgun.

@sargon08 what rounds have you got the best results out of with the 23? I just bought one. Trying to find the best defence round. Any info would be great, thanks!
@peacemaker50cal The MagSafe in 96 gr is a great self defense round. It's frangible, but it scored the best in a test done over in Europe on Alpine mountain goats. This round dropped them faster than any other round, particularly in the 10mm. I have a Glock20C, awesome powerhouse! Like a previous poster said, the Corbon HP's are good, the Hornady XTP's are great, DoubleTap makes one of the best rounds I've used, full power, and Buffalo Bore as well. Hollow Points for self defense, not FMJ's.
@oldairforcedude I as well love the 10mm! I reely cary my .40 more than any gun. My good friend owns a local gun shop, he sold me some MAGTECH GOLDS, I like them, but not sure of them. They seem to cycle through the gun well, and they have the power, but i guess more test need to be done. Thanks for the info!
@peacemaker50cal Yes, my next Glock is the 23 for sure. The .40 is a great round for concealed carry. Magtech's are great rounds, I've shot them in both 9 and 10mm and they're accurate. Found Lawman's to be not quite so accurate. Anything will cycle through a Glock, just pick one you like, with enough power and accuracy and practice with that round a lot, even if it's expensive. Ya gotta know it's going to work when you need it. DoubleTap makes really hot rounds, full power, which I love..
@alexzam6474 Hey smart ass I speak four languages (english is one of them) and it doesn't make me smarter than anyone else... This gun conceals well in a Cross Breed Super Tuck Delux. I can't even feel the pistol and this is a IWB holster. Also using the crossbreed leather belt, and a blackhawk doublestack mag holster on weakside. A combo I can put my trust in.
@jsh1284 at the time that the 92 was in the pistol testing to replace the 1911, the glock had just come out so it did not make it in time to even have a shot at replacing the 1911. Both are fine weapons, but the glock seems to have more options... pros and cons for both.
@omazzoni I think the FBI contracted the 10mm round from Glock ie; The G20 and decided that it was too much "gun" for a "standard issue sidearm" (2,000 fps at mussle); as opposed to a .40 (which is a 10mm short) which is approx ~1200-13xx TOPs. I love the .40 its the easiest for me to control and put ammo down range everytime (for me its about 2x more accurate than my G17) dunno why. I LOVE THE G23..I would like to go shoot a G20 and get the FULL 10mm FBI wannabe-Feel poWer. but in the mean time
@chrisrhudy02 Its a beast, bought my 10 about a year ago. I have the 29, its the compact version, not as bad as you would think, unless your on the rong end! lol!
@jsh1284 Glock 30 is better for CCW needs, and it still houses the awesome .45ACP, however the degree of shooting skill dramatically increases when you shorten a Glock21. I'm simply not skilled enough at accurate shot placement with a small .45 to carry a Glock30. It's superb for F.B.I. no doubt.
@PDZkrew I LOVE MY G23 as does my wife! I agree stop trolling anf give some credit probably the BEST handgun I personally have shot (Price range - under $1500 USD)... of course the H&K is awesome, and other companies make GREAT weapons as well but for $500 USD GLOCK all the way, especially the G23 (3rd Gen)... can't say enough about it! Plus .40cal is my favorite round for pistols... a 10mm (short) bullet that wont take your arm off and twice the velocity of a .45... A+ S&W .40; A++ GLOCK 23
Glock 21 is the way to go for .45 lovers who want a Glock. It is the largest, but I like a massive gun that I can't even fit my hand around. The "clack" it makes when you release the slide is the real deal on a 21.
The recoil spring also adds weight on the G30 but the H23 has a plastic guide rop si that saves on weight.
Next time you are looking for a gun try out a Springfield XD. The grip circumference is much smaller but they tend to be slightly heavier because they have more metal parts.
Dude who called you a terrorist fuck those guys you know your guns, i love glock 23 , although ive owned a glock 40 for years, but still , yeah fuck those guys dont listen to them=)
Lol what kind of terrorist would buy a glock anyways.. glocks are classy.. they use the isreal made uzi or some of that crazy shit.. outdated hand guns n stuff..
@winkdogydog101 you call me a terrorist with out knowing who i am or even if i was muslam or not !! well i am an Assyrian christian i speak the aramaic the language of jesus christ !! and if you dont know who the Assyrian are well thats so bad !! i think what wrong with America today is the way the Gov spit in the face of the constitution !!
@sargon08 He can't help that he has been brainwashed by the LAMESTREAM media. He probably is watching FAUXnews as I type this. Terrorist....hmmmmm???? you mean like George Bush or Barrack HUSSEIN Obama????? What a idiot.
@sargon08 I would never call you a terrorist. That aside. There are 300 Million people in America. We all don't think like that. Just like all people people of middle eastern heritage are not terrorists. We are all not nutjobs. I'm sure that person you were referring too probably is though.
Glock is a cheap high margin(very profitable) product sold to LE depts through political insiders and bribes. A corrupt company no military will touch. It's a piece of junk...yes, I have one. HK manufactures machine guns and has a long and enviable history of innovation 0 including the first polymer pistol. Compare mfg techniques here: Paste in YOU TUBE "HK Factory Torture Testing"
@MediaCop when the NRA voted the Glock 17 the best Pistol in 1980 and in 1992 Glock Model 21 .45 ACP and 1996 Glock Model 26 9mm that was for many Reasons 1- its lighter 2- can carry more rounds in smaler mags size 3- there is no pistol to date have over 250.000 rounds test 5- thetenifer treatment on every gun 6- it comes in every Caliber and the best thing about glock is its price unlike the H&K and SIgs and most 1911's !!
i was told its not an factory magazine i am looking for 2 more 17 rounds !! and have fired over 1000 rounds with no problems !! one thing i have to say after shooting 60 rounds my hand start Hurting and i wasnt shooting well !!
1000 rds, wow! I have always heard of Glocks in general having almost flawless reliability, which is invaluable when you REALLY need it. Thats really great to know. I have just purchased my G23 a fews days back. I have always wanted one. Concealable and enough stopping power. It would be nice to have a compact .45 someday.
I'm first in line for a Glock 23 Gen4 which has less aggressive jimping around the grip so it's not so sharp. I figured with it being not as sharp it would be easier on my hand after shooting several hundred rounds through it at the range.
they both very good guns its just the Weight of Beretta92 32oz v.s Glock17 22.04 oz !! so if you looking to carry you gun all the time then get Glock 36 or the new Beretta PX4 sub compact and if its for home defance or target shooting get the Beretta92 or full size beretta PX4 !!
Great video man, very helpful! I've been debating for a while now between the 23 and 27 for my concealed carry but i feel it's obvious the 23 is the best way to go. It's only slightly bigger than the 27 but still very practical for concealed carry. And standard mags of 13r vs. 9r makes it a no-brainer for me.
I have a glock 21sf, I love it, it is a big gun but it fits my hand just fine, and I'm not a big guy. It's certainly not a conceal carry option for me. I'd really like to get a g19.
my glock 23 never jams on me i fired over 1000 rounds with all the rounds even wolf !! i like to get Sig p228 next but as you know its more mony to by it !!
what are u talking about? i said that i own a glock and that it only jammed on me one time since i have owned it, learn to read first before you respond to my comment
@BADRAD45 the only time u would have a glock jam on u is not cleaning it properly and using reloaded ammo and cheap ammo i have a 23 and ive had it for 3 years now and it never failed to fire and never jammed i think any gun would normaly jam if its not well taken care of
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I've shot this gun at a range it was .40 g23 and It felt cheap in the hands an like it was going to fall apart at any second.. I like my beretta 92fs a hell of alot bettter
When your 92 jams and you have to throw it at your attacker to defend yourself it will probably hurt more than getting hit with a Glock. So I guess in that sense it's better.
If you had the Glock, though, you could just shoot them. It wouldn't have jammed.
let me ask you do you carry your 92 every day ?? also B92 have 15 rounds v.s 17 rounds in the Glock 17 !! if i was looking to carry a full size gun with 15R why not have it in 40 s&w like Glock 22 !
Noticed you say it comes w/ 3 mag, but it is not..recently purchased same model..only comes w/ 2 mags w/13rds..Am I missing something here?? Nice choice on your HG.
Good video, i am in the market for a Glock and was up in the air on which model to choose, the 23 has caught my eye and after this video I am going with the 23
I love my 23 and and I know most who have them will... heres a tip tho if you ever out shooting I wld get the magizine for a glock 18 and just replace the follower with that of a mag from the 23... lots more to play with at the range : )
true but you have to replace the barral as will to 9mm !! but if you go for the 357 sig you can use the same 40 s&w mag you have only to replace the barral to 357 sig !!
Everyone is different. I like the 23 just fine but I prefer the 27. I can shoot it just as accurately as any Glock and I have shot most of them and own 4 of them. You do have a fantastic pistol in the 23. Enjoy it!
I know exactly what you mean about the glock 27 digging into the palm of your hand I own the 27 22rtf and have owned the 23 also but I sold the 23 but Im thinkin g of getting one soon again good vid bro!!
You are very informative. I wish you could do more reviews. My friends and I have started a becoming big fans of your factual and straight forward knowledge base. You are obiviously military trained. I wont ask any questions about your training because i'm sure its very classified PLEAES MORE REVIEWS

@jsh1284 Glock 30 is better for CCW needs, and it still houses the awesome .45ACP, however the degree of shooting skill dramatically increases when you shorten a Glock21. I'm simply not skilled enough at accurate shot placement with a small .45 to carry a Glock30. It's superb for F.B.I. no doubt.

PDZkrew 1 year ago
@PDZkrew I LOVE MY G23 as does my wife! I agree stop trolling anf give some credit probably the BEST handgun I personally have shot (Price range - under $1500 USD)... of course the H&K is awesome, and other companies make GREAT weapons as well but for $500 USD GLOCK all the way, especially the G23 (3rd Gen)... can't say enough about it! Plus .40cal is my favorite round for pistols... a 10mm (short) bullet that wont take your arm off and twice the velocity of a .45... A+ S&W .40; A++ GLOCK 23

Great choice my friend. I got this model today. Dont listen to these kids on here you have the right to own anything you want. Cheers

Glock 21 is the way to go for .45 lovers who want a Glock. It is the largest, but I like a massive gun that I can't even fit my hand around. The "clack" it makes when you release the slide is the real deal on a 21.
AllahConsciousness 1 year ago
The recoil spring also adds weight on the G30 but the H23 has a plastic guide rop si that saves on weight.
Next time you are looking for a gun try out a Springfield XD. The grip circumference is much smaller but they tend to be slightly heavier because they have more metal parts.

@MediaCop when the NRA voted the Glock 17 the best Pistol in 1980 and in 1992 Glock Model 21 .45 ACP and 1996 Glock Model 26 9mm that was for many Reasons 1- its lighter 2- can carry more rounds in smaler mags size 3- there is no pistol to date have over 250.000 rounds test 5- thetenifer treatment on every gun 6- it comes in every Caliber and the best thing about glock is its price unlike the H&K and SIgs and most 1911's !!

i was told its not an factory magazine i am looking for 2 more 17 rounds !! and have fired over 1000 rounds with no problems !! one thing i have to say after shooting 60 rounds my hand start Hurting and i wasnt shooting well !!
sargon08 1 year ago
1000 rds, wow! I have always heard of Glocks in general having almost flawless reliability, which is invaluable when you REALLY need it. Thats really great to know. I have just purchased my G23 a fews days back. I have always wanted one. Concealable and enough stopping power. It would be nice to have a compact .45 someday.
beacons4life1 1 year ago
I'm first in line for a Glock 23 Gen4 which has less aggressive jimping around the grip so it's not so sharp. I figured with it being not as sharp it would be easier on my hand after shooting several hundred rounds through it at the range.

they both very good guns its just the Weight of Beretta92 32oz v.s Glock17 22.04 oz !! so if you looking to carry you gun all the time then get Glock 36 or the new Beretta PX4 sub compact and if its for home defance or target shooting get the Beretta92 or full size beretta PX4 !!
sargon08 2 years ago
Great video man, very helpful! I've been debating for a while now between the 23 and 27 for my concealed carry but i feel it's obvious the 23 is the best way to go. It's only slightly bigger than the 27 but still very practical for concealed carry. And standard mags of 13r vs. 9r makes it a no-brainer for me.
TheGidds 2 years ago
I have a glock 21sf, I love it, it is a big gun but it fits my hand just fine, and I'm not a big guy. It's certainly not a conceal carry option for me. I'd really like to get a g19.

How weird? My Glock 23 jammed the first and second magazine I shot through it, but it was cheap federal ammo, and it has ran smooth ever since.
troyjbell 2 years ago
that can happen sometimes during the break in period !! after 300 or 500 rounds it will run like a champ !!
patton223 1 year ago
@BADRAD45 the only time u would have a glock jam on u is not cleaning it properly and using reloaded ammo and cheap ammo i have a 23 and ive had it for 3 years now and it never failed to fire and never jammed i think any gun would normaly jam if its not well taken care of

I've shot this gun at a range it was .40 g23 and It felt cheap in the hands an like it was going to fall apart at any second.. I like my beretta 92fs a hell of alot bettter
MRTOMANDBOB 2 years ago
When your 92 jams and you have to throw it at your attacker to defend yourself it will probably hurt more than getting hit with a Glock. So I guess in that sense it's better.
If you had the Glock, though, you could just shoot them. It wouldn't have jammed.
Have you really ever even shot a gun?
zombiefood2009 2 years ago 4
yea i shot on too that flt kinda cheap, it actually jammed a few times also
but maybe the guys didnt take care of it right
fockya 2 years ago
let me ask you do you carry your 92 every day ?? also B92 have 15 rounds v.s 17 rounds in the Glock 17 !! if i was looking to carry a full size gun with 15R why not have it in 40 s&w like Glock 22 !
sargon08 2 years ago
Noticed you say it comes w/ 3 mag, but it is not..recently purchased same model..only comes w/ 2 mags w/13rds..Am I missing something here?? Nice choice on your HG.
dragonz72 2 years ago
most glocks comes with 2 mags and no night sights !!
sargon08 2 years ago
I am sure that is not the case on 3 mags. I can understand the mags round capacities depends on what states. NS is available for extra cost...

You cannot go wrong with a G23, or any Glock for that matter. I have a G23 with night sights and I love it. My next will be a G27.

I love my 23 and and I know most who have them will... heres a tip tho if you ever out shooting I wld get the magizine for a glock 18 and just replace the follower with that of a mag from the 23... lots more to play with at the range : )
Rudeboi253 2 years ago
true but you have to replace the barral as will to 9mm !! but if you go for the 357 sig you can use the same 40 s&w mag you have only to replace the barral to 357 sig !!
