  • Her name is Christine Frka

  • Comment removed

  • One of the coolest albums, and coolest album covers ever, I'd love to know who that is in the pool. Anyone know?

  • @qreosity2112 Suzi Creamchese

  • @qreosity2112 some chick called "Miss Christine" of the GTOs

  • si zapa estuviera vivo y escuchara la musica de hoy dia se volveria morir amen zappa eres el padre del rock experimental y señor del neo jazz

  • So victorious.

  • One of the most sublime of all Zappa instrumental compositions. I love the cool color and the hot pinks of the horn arrangements, and the hard rock and roll riffs that jump in so naturally!

  • still breathtaking after all these years ... you go Frank

  • that just amazing !!!

  • The very best of jazz, rhythm and blues.

    You'll be forever missed Frank.

  • Listening to Hot Rats and We're Only In It For The Money, makes me believe that I was born in the wrong year, 1995.

  • I can't belive you left the end chord out!!!!!!!!

  • Other than hunting for the original vinyl, what is the best way to get hold of the original mix of this album?

  • @czgibson No idea. But I've got the original vinyl and the mix on Willie The Pimp isn't great. You can't hear the guitar or violin too well. This sounds great but some of the other tracks get buried. Still worth having though

  • Black Moon - Ack like u want it

  • who's on the cover?

  • @qreosity2112 "Miss Christine" of the GTOs

  • probably the most (in)famous fluffer of all time

worked for a woman who made molds of male rock star nasty back in the day

caveat: her lifestyle likely cost her her life

and now you know the rest of the story

    you're welcome

  • @tubeofgroove Yes I heard about this. Jimis was the biggest apparently. She inspired him to write Dolly Dagger from what I've heard.

  • @Django5198

yeah! and he momentarily had his way with his own mold for style points

  • love 2.37!

  • Thanks Big!

    Ignore the asshat comments.

  • Possibly the Best recording of all time, Hot Rats . That and Joe's Garage are up there>

  • Best album in the world. Ever (ever).

  • @KeepYourOptionsOpen while i may agree, it's kinda funny you say that considering your screen name...

  • @leadbones Not really.

  • Favorite Zappa tune.

  • Shit according to this that I've listened only to remastered one, the difference is so big that I have new album to check out!

  • So this is the original? How different it sounds from the RykoDisc CD. Makes me wonder what happened. Didn't Frank have total control, as I thought, when it came time to release this stuff on CD? Couldn't the original masters be found in Frank's vast archives? Did the evil WMG somehow prevent this version from being released?

  • @Shackamaxon The original masters are alive and well and have been lovingly remastered by bernie grundman of classic records........ now the dilemma, do i post this and see all the work thats gone into it just ripped off........ or do I post it in the hope that peeps may FUCKIN BUY IT....

  • @hambuns The kinda people who'll listen to Zappa are the kinda people who buy albums, I reckon. Either out of they like the quality, wanna respect the artists or they wanna be rebellious teenagers who don't download and think they're old-ass, hahaha.

  • Takes me back ... Bought this album when I was13.

This along with Hendrix, SRV, Beefheart ... it has to be said, I had great taste in music as a young lad!

  • @IncaRoad01 photo or it didnt happen

  • uno de los mejores albunes de zappa

  • what is this that i've (more or less) stumbled upon and how is it so awesome?

  • I bought the Hot Rats original album in the 70's. Zappa was an amazing musician. This track is a classic. First time I have listened to this for many years and it is still as good as I remember.

  • I'm kind of wondering wtf they did when they remixed it, because this version is fucking awesome, and SO different from the CD version. (I still like the CD version anyway...I'd love to own both that and the vinyl someday).

  • superb!

  • Hot Rats. One of the greatest records of "pop" music in history.

  • FANTASTIC, BETTER THAN THE CLASSIC CD VERSION !!!!!

  • great music!

  • This is the version of Hot Rats that Rykodisc SHOULD HAVE released.

  • Sublime........the definitive 16 track cut..... do not confuse with the digital alternatives

  • More like my memory. My original vinyl is at my parents' house. They don't listen to it, so I guess that's for the best.

The digital version seems to get the distortion on FZ's guitar better than the vinyl.

    THANKS!

  • That dosn't sound anything like the version on the Hot Rats album that have, as it's a little slower and not quite as good as that version. Great track though, but not as good as the original!

  • @CameraJams this IS the original

  • @gamester57 - Really, mind you, it is quite a while since I heard it though,

and I have it, but on vinyl and don't have a record deck at the moment unfortunately. Hmmm, maybe I was high or something when I first listened to it, a looong time ago, so it probably sounded different;)

Thanks for pointing it out though and all the best.

  • This is a alsome clasic i cant beleave this is it. amazing
