Yuck! Pop music! Vienna Boys choir is to be pure magnificent Baroque and Classical, it is polluted by this, pop music.

Ok...so this is quite bad...not the WSK that we all know about....seriously what were they trying...and then what's with the horrible reggae beat in the background that totally just kills the song at least they should have tried representing the original idea that Prince and Sinnead O'connor intended....this was quite painful but especially disgusting

@midarh The reggae was probably intended to give the song a more "upbeat" vibe.

Never heard Prince's original version, but Sinead's recording of the song was very crestfallen and haunting, which is no doubt how she intended it to be.

The Boys Choir probably wanted to give the song more of a "pop" feel.

scheint dort nicht mehr angeboten zu werden (?).

Das kann auch nur vorübergehend sein. Grundsätzlich halte ich eine derartige Veröffentlichung auf YT für nicht unproblematisch, Editor.

Möchte doch noch etwas hinzufügen:

Man mache ein Video mit diesem oder einem anderen modernen Song mit einem "ansehnlichen" WSK-Solisten und lade es hoch auf YT.

Es dürfte weltweit in die Bestenliste der entsprechenden Kategorie kommen.

Das wäre dann ein weiterer kleiner Popsänger, aber einer, der auch noch singen kann...:)

Ich habe große Ehrfurcht vor der Leistung. Schau dir mal den derzeitigen Spielplan der WSK an.

Der eine Chor ist bald 2 Monate in den USA mit fast einem Konzert jeden Abend. Der andere macht eine Deutschlandtour (FAHR ICH HIN :):)

Große Leistung und ich ziehe meinen nicht vorhandenen Hut!
