The Renault 25 is also my favourite car of the eighties, with the Citroën CX in second place. It was ahead of its time
in many ways: the first car ever with a synthetized vocal alerts system; one of the best car desings ever -the shape of the rear window being its more characteristic feature-. There are still three Renault 25 near home and they really stand out from the rest and deserve a look! (even though they are more than 20 years old)
Unfortunately for Renault, the 25 replacement, the Safrane, was somewhat disappointing.
As for Renault motto, "des voitures a vivre", it was translated to Spanish as "coches llenos de vida" ("cars full of life"), closer to the original french that can be translated as "cars for living"
The Safrane was better in quality but much more expensive, this is explain the little sucess of the Safrane. But you can find worst : the Vel Satis ! only 62 000 cars sold in 7,5 years. They stopped it last month.
le haut de gamme français de l'époque, il est vrai plus tout a fait a la mode, mais c'été la classe de rouler avec a l'époque. Dommage qu'elle ont mal vieilli
Even tough I was very little,I still have a lot of memories of sitting in the back of that car and being driven everywhere,I can still smell the leather,amazing...
This car was imported in the USA. The Eagle Premier and Dodge Monaco was a Renault 25 with another body. If you look at the doors particularly, you will see it is the same thing.
alors ... on attend pas patrick ? ( dans camping )

Renault 25 are still great cars.
Back then the Renault motto was: "VOITURES A VIVRE" (CARS MADE TO LAST)
You can see still many of them on the roads of Europe today running.
Confort, power and style !

Yes, it's right! Like the R18 you've also seen. Was really a strong car, and comfortable, and classy and...many other qualities.
Thaks for having watched my video (given by a friend of mine, this one)
