megaupload was blocking file size download speed and had waiting times if you were not a premium member. They havent publised any content themselves. Email doesn;t work with large files usually over 20mb, so thats what services like megaupload come in. Say I am amateur photographer, I have a website for free from yahoo..There is only 5mb ftp space I want people to be able to download hi res versions of my work to promote myself. How do I do that witoup sites like Megaupload. What's not legit?

counterfeit by definition means that an illegitimate or bad copy of the work was made. downloading copies the work exactly so it's not counterfeit. piracy means that the original work was stolen yet downloading only copies the work and the owner still has the original. so it's not that. and money laundering? you had to pay to view more content or you got the infamous 72 min view lock and had to wait half an hour or more to watch again. so in that case they simply just took the money.
