  • im getting das feuer leibt mich das feuer leibt mich nicht tatooed to my chest xp now all i gotta do is make sure its spelled correctly

  • @Animehem its spelled das feuer liebt mich das feuer liebt mich nicht :)

  • THIS SONG IS ABOUT SMOKIN NO MATCHES 3 REASONS 1st after the kid said she lit the match than IT SAID JUST LIKE MOTHER OFTEN DID HMMM HERES THE LOGIC what reason would a mom light a match to play with while smokin a cigar is a adult thing 2nd reason say y dont i get healthy obviously the smokin 3rd says y is the sun round it sounds like that person is high IF U ALL DISAGREE YOUR HIGH WITH HER

  • @pauljackowacko552 You sir are fucking stupid. It is very clear if you read the lyrics in their entirety you would know that your previous statement was incorrect. Your grammar also shows your intelligence. Once again to reiterate, you are fucking stupid.

  • @UpliftingSmoke hmm a dumbfucking crack head that thinks im talking about him on what relates to smoking so i made a bunch of little grammatical mistakes u fuckin skool boy so what and what sense could u make that i was incorrect dumbshit

  • @pauljackowacko552 ... Are you high? I think everyone who looks at your comment would think so.

  • @PrinceOfDarkness111 yes i got another genius that cant make any sense out of a song on how i described it and make criticism by looking at both your channels r u friends that would make alot of sense

  • @pauljackowacko552 Again, you prove my point. Just keep your thoughts to yourself to prevent further embarrassing yourself.

  • @UpliftingSmoke Again some1 that thinks grammar is overall knowledge that proves everything about someone but still opens his mouth and i here crap that doesnt prove anything and he cant make a point and yet talks alot of things he cant prove that he has a brain/ the right sentence for u to say is "further embarrassment to yourself" that would make sense and if i was like u i would be a idiot insulting someone you prove my point

  • @pauljackowacko552 Remember punctuations and commas, dude.

  • @Abejohngud yes yes but at least u dont take it that serious with insults and saying its overall knowledge in some way thank u 4 the heads up for even he made mistakes and i didnt even care

  • It is a relief to know in our world today there are still such intelligent and insightful people who write songs that actually have a meaningful message. I feel sad and happy at the same time now.

  • Anladim lan

  • when i saw the word "hilf" I thought of Milf.

  • is this song about a moth burned by a lamp?

  • @franhound This song is about a girl playing with matches when her parents are not home.. and so on

  • @UpliftingSmoke oh yeah you're right.

  • @franhound sorta.... It's a little girl being burned by matches

  • Es una lastima que no toquen esta cancion en vivo ):

  • i used to play with fire, til i took an arrow to the knee

  • Nothing is more horrible than tempting the power of the flame

  • @Klibanophoros101 Agreed.

  • This song is based of the German children's story of the little girl who played with fire and burned her house down with her in it. That's why he's says his dress was burning.

  • @josejalepeno63 I don't remember the name of the story, sorry.

  • @josejalepeno63 Thank You I Wanted To Know What This Song Was About. Also Do You Know What Other Rammstein Songs Are About Like For Example: Mein Teil (Meiwess Case) Weiner Blut (Fritz Case), Rosenrot (Murdering A Girls Parents Because The Girl Told Till Too), etc; do you know any others ?

  • @96FreedomFighter Actually those were they only other ones that I knew :/ But I will do some research!

  • @josejalepeno63 I Learned That, "Klavier" Is About A Guy Who Locks Himself In His Girlfriend In A Room And He Loved The Way She Played The Piano And When She Stopped The Guy Killed Her. Then Her Parents Knocked Down The Door The Mom Cried While The Dad Was Beating Up The Guy

  • @96FreedomFighter I also learned that Benzin is about the rising fuel prices. Keine lust might be about beastiality on the cover but the deeper meaning is about the band breaking up and meeting together years later for one last song.

  • SOMETIMES WE ARE BURNEDE, OF COURSE NOT IN THAT WAY, IT IS KIND OF SIMBOLYC, BUT EVEN THAT ITS NICE TO SEE THE FIRE WE LIGHT. mm el impluso destructivo :(, FROM THE ASHES WE CAN CONSTRUCT.

  • QUITE FUN INDEED

  • Feuer macht viel spass...

    Fire is fun...

  • HEEEEEELF MIR

    HEEEEEELF MIR

    HEEEEEELF MIR

  • I didn't catched the meaning of the song ?_?

  • @MissBadGirl95

    Dont play with fire

    Spiel mit Feuer nicht

  • one unbelievable track...

  • Actually, just because he said dress doesn't mean he was a girl. Could have been talking about his entire 'dress' as in his clothes.

  • what's the story?

  • What is this song about?

  • Alle Hagel Rammstein!! :D

  • Start and end of this song is awesome(instrumental part). Rest is also pretty good ;). And the text... :)

  • anyone else think this song is about the silent hill movie?

  • Rosenrot is so underrated, I can't believe so many people didn't like it.

  • @Grunge4ever1993 Agreed. Rosenrot is awesome

  • @Grunge4ever1993 I know dude i fucking loved it

  • @Grunge4ever1993 I think it was one of the bands better albums, but I honestly enjoyed Mutter and Herzeleid.

  • ¡AYUDAME!

  • "die gar traurige geschichte mit dem feuerzeug" google it! lol

  • Rammstein is the best band ever

  • ich liebe Rammstein-3

  • dislike percentage = 0.0149812734082397%.

  • Remember kids, fire safety requires adults around you when you are near fire!

  • Ein herrvoragendes Lied!!

  • reminds me of my childhood

  • I love how in German this sounds like a good song...but in english this would sound horrible...I'm guessing it's differences in rimes and tunes likely that sounds good and normal to Germans...whereas if it was sung in english, we would really be frowning...

  • @Huscarlavery I'm not the only one who thinks that then. :}

  • @Huscarlavery thats because Germany is awesome

  • @spoonfullofyogurt

I have no clue what you said but i like it because i love german :)

  • @Huscarlavery German is just naturally good for metal. (while english is good for rap and rock apparently lol...) Till Lindermann said that while french may be the language of love, german was the language of anger.

    I 'tend to agree xD

  • @spykegda Yeah German just sounds like your pissed off all the time. I have German friends and they admit it all the time. Its quite funny, you could be saying how much you love someone but it might sound like your gonna kill them.

  • @Huscarlavery i agree. Although i would still love to hear a version in english. For example singing to this, i could see them replacing 'help me' to 'heal me' to match the tune. Epic stuff.

  • Good

  • When i was little i would get a box of matches, take it in the garden and light them all one after another.

Then my mum caught me once....oops :D

  • Das feuer liebt 4 Menschen nicht....

  • klass

  • It's like the scene from ponochio, you know the one

  • this song scares me.....it makes me sad i speak german

  • @driftgurl28

  • gut mein Freund rammstien Felsen

  • But ah, the flame it caught her clothes,

Her apron, too; and higher rose; Her hand is burnt, her hair's afire, Consumed is that child entire.

    Aus dem Struwwelpeter

  • a note to parents: never leave your child alone with matches

  • After listening, it occured to me that this song could refer to crippling depression/existentialism. I know it doesn't, but it seemed a plausible metaphor.

  • @NivTheSwordsman Possibly, they sometimes have deeper meanings. Alchoholism and addiction pherhaps?

  • @TheRadioactivemutant Dude, it's just their interprutation of a poem written in the 19th century by Heinrich Hoffmann. Kind of how Dalai Lama is also a poem they made into a song.

  • the lyrics are creepy

  • Damn, these lyrics are creepy xD

  • Dank Rammstein, ich weiß, die deutsche Sprache!!! Jaaaaa

  • Appearantly Till was a little girl. XD

  • @TheOriginalZombieDoG Kleid can mean either "dress" or "clothes", in this case I believe it meant the latter.

  • @AlsDasVerderben No it does mean dress but it is because this song is about the short story " Die gar traurige geschicht dem feuerzeug" about a girl who plays with matches when her mom is away and sets herself on fire

  • Comment removed

  • @1029disturbed From what I've heard, this song is about a short story called "The Dreadful Story About Harriet And The Matches". The story is about a little girl who burns herself to death.

  • @TheOriginalZombieDoG then hes singing in place of that little girl. its not exactly funny when you say stuff like that about stories like this.

  • @TheOriginalZombieDoG

Appearantly, you'r an idiot, even if you said that sarcastically.

  • I've never thought hearing a song about a little girl who set s herself on fire would be so entertaining

  • @agarside1000 I agree, lol. BEST SONG EVERRRR!

  • I bet Those 4 people were burned by 201 others... :)

  • Ah Struwwelpeter :)

  • ich leibe feuer <3

  • Why does this song make me excited?

  • Der Refrain ist schön.Diese Melodie.Schööön! 1:16-1:31.

Wegen dem Gesund: (auch ein Lied)

    Schöne,helle Sterne

grüßt den Liebsten in der Ferne

sagt das ich noch immer sei, herzekrank und bleich und treu

    Schöne helle Sterne

  • help me mummy i haz a melty faaaace

  • The deeper meaning of this song is about addiction, which the fire is a metaphor for.

  • @TheRadioactivemutant I think it's about a german fairytale

  • Das Feuer liebt mich auch nicht aber ich liebe es,so ich muß wieder los zum zündeln....................... es warten noch ein paar Objekte auf mich Pyromanen !

  • Every kid should have to listen to this and understand what it means. This shit just got real

  • i am now going outside to set my car on fire then my house then im walking to the airport to go to germany

  • i want to set my self on fire...for real

  • @giorgos122cool that's a big disturbed, lol

  • @Mrjameslat :D

  • I'll never touch a motherfucking match again.

  • @Specialmindz I know right. I can't use a lighter because I'm afraid of me burning myself and then spontaneously bursting into flames...

  • @GingerTheArcanine123 I can't light one even if I wanted to. The lighter hurts my thumb and I don't actually know how to strike a match. I tried it in order to light a candle and mom laughed at me... T_T

  • @Specialmindz Wow. :/ When I was younger, I lit a match and it broke backwards and burned my thumb really bad. It hurt, XD

  • cant get enof of this song makes me want to starts somthing on fire

  • lol! nice lyrics!~

  • haha this is a awsome song!

  • @itschris96 you is "you" grammer

  • ah this is scary

  • @ttaylorfaithh the song komes from a story for children.

  • FANTÁSTICO, MUITO BOA MESMO

  • one of the best intros I have heard.

  • 1 person prefers the water.

  • one person had das feuer liebt dich nicht !

  • @theoperative85 ihm* not dich :)

  • This song refers to an old German children's story called Die gar traurige Gesichte mit der Feuerzeug or, in English, The Dreadful Story Of Harriet and the Matches. It was written in the 1800s and was part of a collection of stories meant to warn children. It can be found here (take out the parentheses):

    oldpoetry(.)com/opoem/show/64784-Heinrich-Hoffmann-The-Dreadful-Story-of-Harriet-and-the-Matches

  • what is the box he finds? i think it should be something different to the things he usually burns (i say "usually" cause in the chorus it says "every time im alone...")...that intrigues me....

and why does he ask "why is the sun round?" ?? O.o

  • @maxprezas92 The box that she finds is a box of matches, as told in the original German's children's story. As for the lines about the sun being round & getting well, those aren't in the original story, but I think they're probably Til's way of referring to a child's curiosity. Children are often asking questions like why the sun is round, why the sky is blue, why they get sick, why they can't have another cookie, etc. Curiosity killed the cat...and in this case, the kid. :/

  • @maxprezas92 NM, ignore what I said before. I think I know why he mentions the sun being round. One of the other stories in the collection that this song is based off of is about a little boy named Johnny Head-In-Air who is so busy looking up at the round sun in the sky and thinking about it that he walks into a river and nearly drowns. So it's probably a reference to that - another curious kid who nearly comes to harm. At least he was luckier than poor Harriet! XP

  • TF2 Pyro Theme Song :D

  • Schächtelchen ist meine Lieblingswort.. Sounds so fun xD

  • 1 person that wached this is an angry burn victim

  • You need to teach your children about the dangers of fires. Sounds a little odd but I would burn a finger. Thats how I learned I touched a stove while it was on..... I learned my lesson.

  • @TheCalvincurtis

I agree with you. This sounds really a little bit weird. But the song refers to an old German story for children.

It is called "Die gar traurige Geschichte mit dem Feuerzeug" (The Very Sad Story of the Matches).

A girl plays with fire when she is alone at home, although her mother forbid her doing this.

  • 1:00 Ei sprach ich wie schön und fein???? how does that work out ??not trying to start a translation war but Ei is singular for egg...seems like a better translation would be i spoke like beautiful and fine egg. but yeah doesnt make much sense someone please explain...

  • @Venichord in this case, "Ei" does not mean "egg", it's something like "oh see", just an onomatopeiic expression in German.

  • at o weh die flamme fasst(closest i can get) das klaid, shouldnt it be oh pain(which is weh) instead of oh no?

  • >: this song's so sad D,:

  • i love this song

  • The story this song was based off of is "Die gar traurige Geschichte mit dem Feuerzeug" from the book Der Struwwelpeter. Freaky shit written by one guy because he didn't want to buy a book for his son during the mid-19th century, but good stories non the less.

  • Pyromania!!!!!!!

  • @mooneclipse81 I FCKING LOVE FIRE!!!!

  • @mooneclipse81 pyRomania:))

  • @mooneclipse81 cigerets

  • feuerzeug?!?! also für mich hört sich das zu 100% nach streichhölzern an

  • Die gar traurige Geschichte mit dem Feuerzeug <-

  • y did he say

    the sun is round

    y dont i get healthy????????????????

plss tell me 'cause i aint german :'(

  • @metrotorful

first of all try to write english properly, and not using retarded abbreviations.

    secondly it says:

why is the sun round and why am I not getting healthy

because he/she knows his/her sickness (pyromania, that is) and wants to escape from it but she/he can't resist it.

  • @yapyyapo thanks dude

  • i might be wrong but i think till must of burned himself because if u notice in sum of the music videos, till has scars on his face. idk. awesome song tho!!

  • @SerjTankianGoddess that's acne

  • @SerjTankianGoddess he did, one of the flame things fell on the stage when they were on fire and i think he had to put it on or something, check wikipedia

  • @SerjTankianGoddess That or its acne >_>

  • allawell die engländer dau rammstein isch deutsch

  • this song is based on a story in a childrens book in germany from the 1900's about a girl who got left home alone lit a mach and lit herself on fire and burned herself to death

  • @shaylaisahippie Do you know what it was called?

  • @shaylaisahippie Nevermind, I found it.

  • the meaning of this song

don´t let your kids with fire alone

    easy to understand

    but an epic song :)

  • what is the meaning of this song?

  • @CrazyPeanutnup i think its about a pyromanic person

  • @Nihgroiv no, as far as I can tell It's about a little girl that discovers her moms cigarettes & ends up burning herself to a crisp after trying to smoke one

  • @e6d9d6y9 its based on a childrens story lol from the 1900's i know that for a fact

  • @shaylaisahippie

Oh I know what story you're talking about. My mom used to tell me it to freak me out when I was little...though it never really worked ^_^"

  • @CrazyPeanutnup It's based off this story: oldpoetry(.)com/opoem/show/64784-Heinrich-Hoffmann-The-Dreadful-Story-of-Harriet-and-the-Matches

Just delete the parentheses. Written in the 1800s it was meant to warn children not to play with matches or they'd end up like Harriet. Or Til, apparently. :P

  • @MorganBonny reall thx man :)

  • @maidenroknrollin yea, most of the rammstein songs I listen to have something about the sun In all of them

  • mein lieblingssong von rammstein :D

  • @TheAGGROSTARR ja, ist gut, aber ich denken eifersucht ist besser.

  • @TheAGGROSTARR

  • @Wesderhird

Auf Deutsch muss man Lied sagen.
