Ok the music is vile. But brum ay a bad place, clubs were OK but since the "fixed it" i cannot find anything anymore, and the church at the bottom of the slope on its own like an unwanted child ffs, its a beautiful building in a spiteful setting. I still have a soft spot for the place though. never the mind!

Heard some bad stories about Brum and people were quite shocked and surprised that we wanted to go and visit. We are really glad we did. Everyone we met was happy and friendly from young to old. Fab restaurants and bars. You've got it together here. Well done.

I've been a Brummie all my life and its changed dramatically!!! Apparently, out of all the 8 major cities in the UK, Birmingham has the lowest crime rates. It is the second best place in the UK to locate a business and it is the third best place in the UK to shop!!! Sooooo, Im pretty happy where I live :) x

As a 'born and bred Brummie' I found this nostalgic. Thank you for sharing it. I have lived abroad for more than fifty years now but Brum will always be there. birmingham city uni is in perry barr so its quite far. about 45 minute walk id guess. the last building, the one with the bubbles things is Selfridges
