Nate might not articulate himself in a text-book intelligent manner or with the vocabulary he uses but he's a FIGHTER. As far as I'm concerned he's brilliantly intelligent in the ring (where he's passionate and earns his food&shelter) and is a poet inside of there as well.One of my favorite fighters to watch because of the fact he genuinely has that poetic element.

The Diaz brothers are some of my favorite interviews ever. I love how they don't get their personalities coached out of them like lots of other fighters. You get the real Nate Diaz, you don't get some fake cultivated personality.

If any of you read stuff about Nate and Nick you'll know the reason why they are "disrespectful dicks" is because they take fighting very personal. This is all they have. They've said before they aren't the scholarly type and it's pretty apparent in their interviews. It doesn't give them an excuse but when fighting is your only source of income then yeah everyone else around you is just a stepping stone.

Every fight puts a fighters career at stake so the money has got to be good enough for him to take the risk. Moving up in rank is a good reason cause then you get paid more. But to fight some no rank dude, while you're the champ at your weight, for not enough money... Isn't worth it.

If any of you read stuff about Nate and Nick you'll know the reason why they are "disrespectful dicks" is because they take fighting very personal. This is all they have. They've said before they aren't the scholarly type and it's pretty apparent in their interviews. It doesn't give them an excuse but when fighting is your only source of income then yeah everyone else around you is just a stepping stone.

It's fine with me that he has little social polish - my only business with him is my appreciation for what he does in the ring. Miller would ask a question,and then start rolling his eyes,and acting as if he were nodding off to sleep while Nick answered him,..politely. @Danielson184 He has accepted it and at 185. The deal is though that he's the champ, and miller isn't even ranked, so how would he benefit? Every fight puts a fighters career at stake so the money has got to be good enough for him to take the risk. Moving up in rank is a good reason cause then you get paid more. But to fight some no rank dude, while you're the champ at your weight, for not enough money... Isn't worth it.

I'm sure Diaz would jump at the chance to fight Miller if it was a for sure thing and not just talk, the money would be good, and he wasn't in a position that if he got injured he'd lose his current belt.
