  • I just use a incline PC chair for these lol

  • whats the incline suppose to help work out?

  • whats the difference between a incline dumbell chest press and a flat bench dumbell chest press

  • TSSSHHHHP!

  • Thanks to guy like you, I can learn how to do it right way :)

  • thanks for the tip

  • tttssshh!!

  • scott your face looks like pedobear

  • That noise he makes sound's like a machine where i work. He's probably a CX176 workout information droid.

  • hey just wondering where is the trick section i didn't find it on you youtube page ???

  • pause at 2:22 for jizz face

  • That douche is so frigging annoying.

  • @92Jeek Tell me how he is a douche. Please.

  • He looks so queer at 2:22

  • @LostFaceify grow up

  • @justkilledit21 i am, but im immature.

  • thumbs up if zyzz brought u here

  • wtfismass.jpeg

  • Should you have a spotter for this? How liable is the average person to drop them on themselves?

  • @TenWhoWereTaken I have never seen anyone drop i on themselves. But I have seen spotters when people do this but not everyone has one. I see spotters go underneath there arm and put there hand pretty much on there triceps and kind of help the weights up.

  • 2:14...that is not a 90º angle.

  • when i benchpress with dumbell i tend to arch my lower back. is that a bad habit? will it affect my lower back?

  • ..and that's how you do an Dumbbell Incline Bre@#( eeh phsss.. LOL

  • Is it good doin it the wrong way to get your shoulders bigger and stronger?

  • @SuckAFatOne007

Thats what the shoulder press is for bro.

  • hehehe nipple line

  • hehehehe he said nipple

  • I have an extremely large penis.

  • wat was his hand doing at 1:03

  • Hey Scott, I have found your clips very useful. thanks.

  • Hmm.. That's not very much of an incline is it? That's like borderline flat bench..

  • @gornaak22 Id say thats more flat then incline! =)

  • I have a guy in my gym who makes the noise you make, he is ripped as fuck, maybe that's the big secret?

  • @DLH8DeMoN no dude... u can only make that sound when u huge like this guy... imagine if u just some skinny guy making that noise.. it will looks silly ahah

  • @vasyasol what the fuck? that guy is not huge he is skinny. lmao

  • @xr467ky so is ur penis

  • @DLH8DeMoN ORGASM

  • wow is that horrible noise really necessary?!

  • scott get new shorts lmao

  • scott is the fucking man!

  • I recon you should get some pink shorts scott.

  • i am 2 years old and I can bench 600lbs

  • Comment removed

  • scott you forgot the most important part...

the secret to max muscle is shouting tssssshh

  • Your not doing it correctly until you get the "TSSSHH" right

  • thanks for the video it really helped. :)

  • TSCHHHHHH

  • I'm young, 13 only, 1,000% NATURAL, not even protein shakes, and I bench 430lbs raw and full, perfect form! XD

    Check @ my channel! :P

  • @AndyHarglesis yeah you're full of shit :P

  • @AndyHarglesis im 4 years old i can lift 121442lbs just for a warm up..

  • I cannot get these dumbells up in position without frigging up my shoudlers...

  • Thanks for the videos!

  • What do you think about pre-workouts?

Is it worth using protien shakes? I spend a sh?t load of $ on protien but struggle to gain weight

  • @34birddog Same problem here bro, but check this out. To gain weight, multiply your body weight X 20 and you have to consume this amount of calories per day. I drink a gallon of milk a day, a glass for pre-workout, and POST- workout it is VERY important to carbo load and get protein. Eat your ass off, fuck the expensive shakes. Hope this helps!

  • *TSHHHHT*

  • haha he said nipple 1:40

  • tHANKS !

  • There is no upper chest or lower flat chest press works the entire chest......"all or none principle"

  • Thanks, Scott!

  • Can you bodybuilder without the use of protein shakes or any type of supplements? Thanks

  • @hellapinoy6969 Supplements are not needed. For me shakes are convenient, but I could just as easily eat a pack of tuna or the like.

  • Its sooooooooooooo hard not invole your shoulders during pressing movement excercises like the bench, incline, presses. Its the form that has to be spot on to avoid any future damage. But all in your shoulders will always be involved and fatique quicker then your Chest will. Good Vid brother,, keep up the great work !

  • does anybody know the degree angle for this? my gym works in degrees on the benches not numbers, thanks a lot

  • @xpkux 35 degrees

  • soo you have it on 3 or 4? i got lost haha..

  • @tapoutkid19 hes got it on 3, he jsut put it on 4 to show everyone that it only damages ur shoulders

  • One of my favorite exercises, great vid!

  • Your instructional videos are the best. I subscribed :). All your exercises work for me and my body. Thanks Scott!

  • does the 3rd notch clip mean like 30 degree so if u only use one notch it is 10 degree?

  • but Scott, I can't see my nipple line when I workout because I wear a shirt :P

  • Great video. I did this exercise and the bench press incorrectly for years in my 20's, and I'm paying for it now with crunchy shoulders. I try to politely correct younger guys at my gym when I see them involving their shoulders too much.

  • I had no idea you had to raise your shoulders as if you were pinching your neck. Thank you for this, it improved my form.

  • NO WAY. First step is to grab your dumbbells; someone may take your bench otherwise.

    NOOB.

  • Can I ask, why is it that when working out, people breathe in on the way down, and out when stressing? What's the reason behind that?

  • r u saying breath up or out?

  • Thank you so much for this video. Today when I was doing this press my shoulders felt like they were "popping" and I couldnt figure out why. Now I understand it was because I had my elbows to far back and was putting the pressure on my rotator cuffs.

  • SCHHHH!

  • Great videos Scott... keep it up!

  • if you dont have a bench like this, and just using chairs at home? Like laying down on the chairs and do the same thing? Is there really a differents between using chairs and laying flat on the chairs during this workout or using this bench?

  • @mateogiannaros You can get a cheap adjustable bench for 50 bucks. Or pick up a used one for peanuts.

  • sound scott wots better 4 da chest dumbells or bench

  • Only 50's? They should be 120's even for demonstrating purposes....lol....just kidding

  • Thanks for the videos Scott. They're really helpful to a newbie like me.

  • scott you are totally cute! hehe

  • tsshhh!!

  • inclines work the top of your chest right?

  • @woody4114

Yea and a little bit of your shoulder

  • @laursenskate3 thanks

  • ppl told me bck flat and i messed up ma shoulders fankz man

  • great scott

  • Shoulder blades pinching (scapula retraction) at the begging of this vid:

    youtube.com/watch?v=cJRVVxmytaM&feature=related

  • @Pube83 i will try it next time I do it. although I don't understand why it's better to arch the back.

i also don't understand why it's necessary for the shoulder exercise.

by the way i'm just a beginner so maybe it's not as important for me yet because i'm lifting small weights?

  • @CIarKent

By keeping a natural arch (or even exaggerated) in your lower back, it reduces the chance of injury.

Keeping your shoulder blades tucked also reduces the chance of injury and puts much less stress on the shoulder joint itself. It's also helpful when working the chest because when your shoulder are down and back it allows more stretch or ROM (range of motion) in the pectorals AND takes the stress off the anterior deltoids (front shoulder) so focus is almost purely on the pecs.

  • good tips Scott! I like doing dumbbell incline bench press + dumbbell incline flye = 4 / 5 sets back to back.

  • I did this yesterday and today my shoulders hurt more than my chest

  • @CIarKent

Then you did it wrong. The most important tip when doing any type of chest press is to tuck your shoulder blades together and puff your chest out (keeping your shoulder girdle locked back in place)- an extreme example is how powerlifters bench press.

  • @Pube83 when I work chest my back is relaxed. I didn't know I should keep my shoulder blades together

  • @CIarKent

Try it. You want to imagine as if you're trying to pinch/hold a pencil between the blades in your mid/upper back. I think Scott might have mentioned it in one of his videos...or look up some other instructional vids.

You need to keep your shoulder blades firmly on the bench at all times (w/ pinched/retracted shoulder blades/scapula). Arch your back so that only your ass, shoulder blades, and head are on the bench. Do not push your shoulders up at the top of the rep.

  • thanx 4 the video. I had been doing it the wrong way =(

  • 2:22 rape face

  • ty dud

  • Scott! Theres new research that shows that incline press only increases upper chest by 5% but 85% shoulders!!! The better upper chest workout is reverse gripped flat bench it increases by 30%!!!

  • kind of gross using the equipment without a shirt on

  • @sunny123able1 Which is why gyms usually have spray and paper towels, haha.

  • this is great advice. i have a similar build to this guy but less mass. im wondering i bench and do tons of chest workouts, but i cant gain any more mass in my chest. i think its because my bench has hit a plateau if anyone knows advice on breaking the plateau let me know! ive been doing negatives, but its a lot of stress on my shoulders

  • @MIXMASTAPWN i recently got past a bad plateu by doing the following, one day i would down incline bench, then next time i went i switched to flat, and the time after that i go to decline, ive been doin this for 2 months and i already gained another 20 pounds, so maybe give it a go

  • Can't ask for a lot more my friend, i'll be subscribing right about now.

  • "I like doing it that way better" lol...I think we all would Scotty :)....thanks for the vid!

  • how to work the collar bone tat upper chest??

  • Awesome videos, Scott. I've watched exercise videos all over youtube and yours are simple, well-explained, and to the point. I really appreciate it.

  • my left chest is bigger than the right..

how can i make it even? :( please help.. i'm left handed btw..

  • @ryuzakijeff They should even out as you continue to work out your chest. do barbell bench presses because you are using your whole chest as one unit to push as apposed to each pec separately with dumbells. should even out beter that way

  • @mattmacc7 thanks mattmacc!

  • Scott, when i perform this workout only my arms 'feel the burn' and not my chest muscles. My chest does look differnt then it did a month ago but i was just wondering if its fine if i dont feel it in my chest?

  • You are so freaking Hot

  • love it when you make funny faces on your vids..

  • so if it's too high it'll hit your shoulders, thanks.., do you have any vids of using a barbell, coz doin an incline bench press is really hard for me...

  • man those 50 pounders look easy for u, when i try to lift that much my arms get kinda wobley :/

  • after a while your stabilizer muscles will build so you can hold it steadily, give it some time. I have been working out over a year now and I can remember straining to lift 45lbs, very embarrassing then, even remember bench pressing 50lbs :(.

  • scott just a suggestion, you need a new colour of shorts :)

  • one day!

  • ill look out for the colour red next time around :)

  • @ScottHermanFitness you have a great body (no homo), how long have you been training?

  • @ScottHermanFitness make em red :D

  • @voicefulmarlin why? I love his short!...go BLUE SHORTS!!!

  • @voicefulmarlin those shorts r pimp man

  • @voicefulmarlin not just new colour, new shorts

  • i am jealous of the gym you work at. Mine is a bit old :(. Can you do a video on power cleans and military press?

  • sure!

  • @ScottHermanFitness

Do you have german ancestors? Just judging from your last name, you know...:)

  • whenever i see that sign it reads "scott fitness herman"

  • 'fitness' is his middle name lol

  • what is the difference of having it at 0 or a bit higher?

  • i hope this is not to late but can you also do a decline barbell bench press because everytime when i do these i feel so unstable. thanks

  • i like to rotate the dumbbells going from a hammer grip to a straight grip

  • whats the difference of having it flat or a bit higher? =/

  • @ zaffe93

if the bench is higher, it'll hit upper chest more. put it to high though, and it'll starting hitting shoulders alot as well.

  • great input!

  • @ScottHermanFitness

thanks, only trying to learn and help =D

  • awsm!!!!

  • Great vid Scott! I used to press them the wrong way like you showed.. after a few months training hurts like sh*t.. That's a long time back but still.

    Keep it up!

  • What about the little part of the bench. Can you slide a little?

  • yes you might slide a bit

  • The video has to process before HD is available .

  • thanks scott
