I don't agree I think this is lovely and she has a lovely, nice and strong Sarah has a lot of quiver in her voice and I like this as its very pure. Well done
I agree. There's no way to record such a crystal-clear voice, compress it for YouTube, and have it played back such that it sounds close to what the live performance sounds like.
Also, there was a blue spotlight on the soloist. When you watch it "live" your brain compensates and you see skin tones, lipstick, eyes, etc. as if it were a person in a blue spotlight. The camera just sees a blue blob with strange colors and records the best it can.
On the other hand, I must say that sudanim did a good job of compressing and uploading the videos to YouTube. They're much better than a lot of things you see on this site. The video was shot in 16 x 9 format, so it would have been better if suda had changed the aspect before uploading. The pics should be about 30% wider.
Hmm, "sudanim" -- sounds like an Indian name, "Sudha," and an Asian surname. But could it just be an Americanization of "Pseudonym?" VERY MYSTERIOUS!
I'm going to date myself by putting on my Johnny Carson voice and saying "I did not know that!" I'll try that with the aspect; we just did another concert, so when I post for that,I'll re-post this.
I have mixed feelings about the videos being posted. I am trying to sell the DVDs and people won't need to buy one if they can just watch it on YouTube. Also, I have no permission from the chorus nor individual members to post the video on the internet.
On the other hand, thanks for the free plug. I don't think anyone will mind the chorus video being here; I didn't even know about it until one of the members mentioned it in a positive way.
This recording can't do them justice. I'm sorry, but it was just so much more beautiful when I was actually there before them, listening to them sing.
