Honestly. I don't know anything about computers. My brother builds them. And when I ran my build past him he said it would work fine. I asked about over clicking he said that it's not necessary for what I want. I might go with the gtx 460 super clocked version. It's 149.99 with a rebate. But idk yet. If the gts 250 will work. I may just wait to buy a better card a year down the road.

@cblt2007 I dont have gts 250 anymore. However I suggest you to buy Radeon HD 5750 for this price. I have Radeon HD 5750 + Radeon HD 5770 in crossfire. Radeon HD 5750 is slightly faster than GTS 250 and when overclocked using my video tutorial can reach GTX 260 but with dx11 support!

In a 922 cooler master mid tower. As long as I can play with no lag on at least medium. I'll be fine. My computer now lags on low graphics so im just slowly moving up from that.

Hi. I'm looking at buying either the GeForce gts 250. Or the radeon 4870. The 250 is 20 dollars cheaper. So I'm leaning towards that. I don't play many games. Mainly world of tanks. Company of heros. Bad company 2. And things along those lines. Would you have any experience with those games and these cards? Thanks I'm advance for the reply.

@cblt2007 Go for GTS 250. It is cooler. It will not be enough for BF Bad company 2 1920x1080 maxed out. Unless you have core i7 cpu.

Yeah i agree about 5750, excellent card that seems to really kill this one. It would seem that ATI is really kicking into full gear with their video cards lately, Nvidia can't keep up. lol! I plan to get the 5750 sometime soon to upgrade my old crappy 4350 (came with the PC). Should give an awesome speed boost. :)

If you get the money get hd 5770, if every dollar is count get Radeon HD5750 and watch my tutorial Radeon 5750 - Overclocking Guide, where I will match performance of Radeon 5770 by pushing Radeon 5750 to 900Mhz.However, if you got a money and 2xpci-x at 8x lines, get yourself 5750 anyways, the rest put in the box and collect for the second 5750 , and put them crossfire. When overclocked they will match 5870, but will eat less energy, and cost 249.99

@montykataria your power supply is sux. It will be ok with hd5750, but hd5770 take more power. However, if it will freezeup or restarts-means power supply. I am happy with 5750 for 129.99 and free shipping from newegg. Runs everything maxed

Noctua for skt775 forget the name - the best one - for cpu. Fan in the case behind and fan on the side. Quiet Corsair 550 watt power supply, that is very cool. Thank for watching.

Well GTS 250 is ranked 25 out of 240 videocards up to History while HD4890 is ranked 10 out of 240.

GTS 250 is ranked 11 out of 108 nvidia Videocards and HD4890 is ranked 8 out of 110 Radeon Cards.
