I don't know if they do it by views, that would be so awesome... I know a few youtubers who are partners that get 15 cents per comment and a little less per rate, and a certain amount per view... I should ever be so lucky. I have one that's being approved for sharing, but reading the legal docs were a pain.

Google shows my earnings from my blogs but in the youtube section it's blank and has always been. I'm positive at least ONE person has clicked, even if by accident. I'm mad that someone claimed copyright to one of my videos falsely and it has over 40,000 views but I can't put ads on it. Even though the person didn't prove their case! I hate it.

I'm sorry, but the partnership program is anything but fair, I've applied to be one several times but receive the generic "you don't have enough interesting and unique videos" blurb each time, I'm the 14th most subbed comedian on YT, and I have more videos and views than the people below me, yet they ARE partners.
And its obviously not an issue with copyright either as Revver are more than happy to upload them AND pay me in the process, infact, Revver have fallen over themselves to help me.

your reply is in the correct place. When you first do a reply to a comment and refresh the page you will see it at the top, but if you then scroll to the bottom of the page and click on 'all comments' you will then find it has gone to the appropriate position.
The reply "badly" was a reply to an earlier response, I don't know why it went to the head of the page, this is my response to my own "badly" response, lets see where it goes, if it goes to the head again youtube need to review their response system. I am very pro Peter, and like I've said before, good luck.

Peter has never profited from anything he's done here, every thing he has done has been for altrusitc reasons. He did NOT want the media attention but it came anyway, whether he wanted it or not so he made a choice to try to use that attention to help others and that's all he has ever done. Peter did not get paid for the Christmas video either, that's old news and doesn't need to be explained again. He's been paid NOTHING so far and works harder than most people just to try to help other seniors

In my opinion his explanation was pretty lame. I am sure I am not the only one who thinks so. Again, I think I held Peter on to high a pedestal and I take the blame for that. Another YouTuber who similarly let me down was MadV who is a total sellout.

Actually, he said he might give the money to charity but that it was not our business. But apparently it was our business before. I am not just looking at what he said in this one video. I am talking about the things he said in his first 10-20 videos where he talked about his approach to YouTube. Granted I have not watched many of his videos in the last year or so there may be more to explain this, but something has definitely changed. I have nothing against Peter, but I am disappointed.
Yes PLENTY has changed and since you've not bothered to look at those changes why are you now bothering to be nasty about it? Peter was inundated with requests (sometimes more than requests, sometimes a foot in the door and calls at all hours) from the media. I personal have dealt with a ton of those requests for him so I know full well the amount of crap he has had to put up with. He has taken NOTHING for all the hard work he has done, NOT A RED PENNY for ANY of it.
You are right; I did not stop watching regularly some time ago like most of his other subs. Whether he has profited or not, I doubt you would really know. But if he had not given out personal information to someone, he would not have been bothered. I have been interviewed by the media but I never told them who I am on YouTube on my main account so it has never been a problem and I have been never been or ever will be a partner.

A lot of people I know have been partnered to YouTube recently. I still have some reservations about it, mostly due to YouTube Google's ineffectiveness in enforcing their own TOS with regard to abusive users. Still, I respect you for whatever decisions you make, for I know that you will always set an outstanding example to those who visit your channel, and that is a good thing. Peter, you are just an old cynic like me. The partnership scheme is great, because it has enabled many of the youngsters who have not got much money to afford the fares to travel around the world to Youtube meet ups. Your friend Caitlin is currently in New York with Community channel, Paperlillies, Mememolly, Nalts, the Winecone, Tokenblackchic, Katers17 (from Gt. Yarmouth) and many more. I just think its great they can meet and have fun with other YouTubers.

I am not a coward, but I will not use my real account to make these points. As you know YouTube is a gossip cesspool and that is why you will never see any well known YouTubers leaving critical comments. Well maybe Blunty used to. But my point is a fair one I think. You know Peter as well as anyone and did he not say in his early videos he would never talk to the media, never profit from his videos, did not get paid for the Christmas video, etc? Maybe I held Peter I too high a pedastol?

Peter has never profited from anything he's done here, every thing he has done has been for altrusitc reasons. He did NOT want the media attention but it came anyway, whether he wanted it or not so he made a choice to try to use that attention to help others and that's all he has ever done. Peter did not get paid for the Christmas video either, that's old news and doesn't need to be explained again. He's been paid NOTHING so far and works harder than most people just to try to help other seniors

Who paid for his trip to the U.S. Remember way back what he said about YouTube? Apparently not. If the videos are still up I may go back and edit some of that material together to defend what I am saying.

Peter's trip to the U.S. was covered by the people who brought him here to speak, it had NOTHING AT ALL to do with YouTube it was about the AARP. He's paid his own way, out of pocket, for a number of his other trips to speak to people about "Silver Surfers", the man ia a freakin' living Saint and you're trying to paint him as a sell-out, you're nuts!

In my opinion his explanation was pretty lame. I am sure I am not the only one who thinks so. Again, I think I held Peter on to high a pedestal and I take the blame for that. Another YouTuber who similarly let me down was MadV who is a total sellout.

Actually, he said he might give the money to charity but that it was not our business. But apparently it was our business before. I am not just looking at what he said in this one video. I am talking about the things he said in his first 10-20 videos where he talked about his approach to YouTube. Granted I have not watched many of his videos in the last year or so there may be more to explain this, but something has definitely changed. I have nothing against Peter, but I am disappointed.

Yes PLENTY has changed and since you've not bothered to look at those changes why are you now bothering to be nasty about it? Peter was inundated with requests (sometimes more than requests, sometimes a foot in the door and calls at all hours) from the media. I personal have dealt with a ton of those requests for him so I know full well the amount of crap he has had to put up with. He has taken NOTHING for all the hard work he has done, NOT A RED PENNY for ANY of it.

You are right; I did not stop watching regularly some time ago like most of his other subs. Whether he has profited or not, I doubt you would really know. But if he had not given out personal information to someone, he would not have been bothered. I have been interviewed by the media but I never told them who I am on YouTube on my main account so it has never been a problem and I have been never been or ever will be a partner.

A lot of people I know have been partnered to YouTube recently. I still have some reservations about it, mostly due to YouTube Google's ineffectiveness in enforcing their own TOS with regard to abusive users. Still, I respect you for whatever decisions you make, for I know that you will always set an outstanding example to those who visit your channel, and that is a good thing. Peter, you are just an old cynic like me. The partnership scheme is great, because it has enabled many of the youngsters who have not got much money to afford the fares to travel around the world to Youtube meet ups. Your friend Caitlin is currently in New York with Community channel, Paperlillies, Mememolly, Nalts, the Winecone, Tokenblackchic, Katers17 (from Gt. Yarmouth) and many more. I just think its great they can meet and have fun with other YouTubers.
