  • real good stuff

  • thanks. really dig Masujaa on guitar...underrated and under-represented on guitar. Check out the "Wildflowers: NY Loft JAzz Sessions"--his work is incomparable. like hubert sumlin crossed w/ marc ribot.

  • The album version is very good and very serious, but this one is much more fun !

  • What is this song called? Is it "Try Some Ammonia"?

  • thanks so much for this,...!! Amazing!

  • Just saw Henry Threadgill @Chicago Jazz Fest over labor day weekend 2010. His compositions are RIDICULOUS!! I watched the entire show in awe of how a person can come up with all those ideas....Truly Amazing!!! And the festival was FREE!!!

  • @Nicole0679 Are you composer? for say that?

  • @H1QA4RSXDA No. I'm not a composer. I just love good music. Would love to see him again soon. Do you know of a website that lists his tour dates? I can't seem to find one.

  • tubas rool

  • hey man, please share if you have more vvc videos live! thanks for this one. peace.

  • wow, that was 15 years ago, are they still together ?

  • Gene Lake, I've been sleeping on you for too long! KILLING!

  • henry threadgill is amazing. XD

  • I'm new to Henry Threadgill, what albums do you guys recommend from him?

  • Song out my trees, Little size demons, too much sugar for a dime.

  • Thenks

  • "Too Much Sugar for a Dime" is the best, but also "Easily Slip into Another World" , "Song out of my Trees" , "Spirit of 'Nuff 'Nuff" and "Make a Move" -- if you can get your hands on the rarer stuff from early on (Air etc) then more power to ya! I hope it gets re-released.

  • Thenks

  • You Know the Number, with two kit drummers, Bass, Cello, trumpet, cornet, and HT on his winds, is beautiful, my favorite. Ola Dura played cornet on that recording.

the tune Hope A Hope A on the "Spirit of Nuff Nuff" is also amazing...

  • @Flannagoras Spirt of Nuff Nuff was a revelation to me. I heard them live shortly after it's release.....amazing set [2]. Since that day this is the music that fuels me.

  • "too much sugar for a dime" is great. for a start some older trio stuff might be good, too, especially air live at montreux 1978

  • "Just the Facts and Pass the Bucket" & "Makin' a Move"

  • Hey I'm in love.... this sounds fab.

  • When I listen to him, so pleased in all ways wi/ his most dramatic heads, attack, and phrasing--Molnar!

  • Any band wid 2 tuba gets my vote

  • Wow, I was at this gig! One of my all time favorite bands. This was at "Sticky Mikes Frog Bar" which was later called the Time Cafe. Ahhh... what sweet music.
