super just wasted 9 mins watching the tutorial to get to the trap code part that cs5 after effects does not have. like the 4th or 5th tutorial ive watched without some plugin that everyone else seems to have ... grr.

Considering that this video was made in 2009, it will be CS4.

okay for people that don't have Trapcode, it is a 3rd party plugin from Red Giant. you can download the free trial from their website but it'll leave a watermark unless you get a proper serial key for it. also for people having trouble like @jascker2, when you select the 3D option, under "transform" you should see "anchor point" using your mouse drag the first slider that says 0.0 to the right till you get to the center of the O

i dont know how to do because i dont have the ripple i have only the ripple pulse and there dont give a rotation...i wish you can responde or send me the effect...or give me a tip...thanks anyway

Thank's for that great tutorial, it helps me to get a good start into the "After Effects World". I'm a AE newbie and i hve some questions:

1. I can't find CC Glow in my AE CS5 - Is it a Third Party Addon?

2. Is there a fouth part of your Cusom Partikel Tutorial?

Cause in my layer the partikel move from the bottom to the top and i want to have it - like in your video - from the center. How did you make that? Which effect do you use for the text?

To move the axis of y x z use the pan tool, you find it in the upper left coner

i don't have trap code and my particle rotates on its side and not in the middle can you give me a hand

@jascker2 hey i had the same problem: you have to move those arrows(of the level 3d) to the centre. to do you you should click to the button to the right to "rotate camera"

@jascker2 i figured it out, you can see once you click on 3D layer, the Y and X arrows appear next to the O.. if the green arrow was in the middle then it worked, if its on the left edge like mine was, just go to Transform- Anchor Point and set the set it to 65, well mine is 65 according to the size of the O.. just put the green arrow in the middle, then move the O back to the middle and the arrows will move with it and you can continue the process of the rotation
