Actually, this game is pretty rare in our country, we can only find Taiko arcade in Jusco, exception is the 1st Avenue in Penang and Sutera Mall in Johor. 14th version was available in Mid Valley and 1 Utama Jusco since last week, and the one in 1 Utama is the 14+, too bad Jusco still focus on the Jusco in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur area......

@footbottlesiumai I can't imagine myself how much easier it can be... on a DS you're all limited in your moving space and holding styli and hitting a screen can't feel any more natural and easier to me than holding real taiko drumsticks.

No I haven't.. actually, and I believed both tasks had the same level of difficulty for your brain (that you only needed to know how to read notes and send your body right and left signals). I also know real taiko arcades have the bigger notes that require double stick hit contrary to that of the DS and I sure agree that doing it with big wooden sticks might require more physical efforts to do repetitively.

@footbottlesiumai Yes, but for the brain I believe it's just about the same, reading notes and sending left write signals, to your wrist/fingers, or to your arms... so start weight lifting and you'll look good playing Taiko.

I even believe good rythm is easierwitharms

On my DS I play with two regular DS Lite stylus... in order to mimick a little better the real thing. It is true tha with fingers, you have as many as you want, and they won't get tired playing something other than Stepmania.

I went to Osaka and spent most of the trip in Japan at arcades. It's surprising, cos in arcades like half of them are machines where you grab toys with the claw.

apparently in japan the arcades pretty much banned him from winning any prizes in any taiko game.

cool thing about this taiko game, unlike DDR and GH, it sorta does teach you how to play a taiko...at least the basics of playing taiko. there's a lot more to it than that, but you can keep rhythm.

Actually this song isn't what I would call "hard."

There are several much more difficult songs in this mix and this one is quite possible for anyone playing Taiko No Tatsujin for about 2-3 hours.

It's a great game and available for the ps2 as well so check it out.
