this speech was very emotional to be. I have never been so excited about a presidential election since I was 10, when Bill Clinton ran. Here I am 16 years later and ever so excited for Barack Obama to be President of the USA. We are living history and I am ever so happy to be part of it!

I truly hope that Barack Obama becomes the next president. If he does, he will have EARNED it and not have it "given" to him by affirmative action. Never once has Barack or Michelle said that they deserve to be in the White House because they're African-American. They have fought hard for a year and a half and earned the right to represent their party. It's obviously time to move past the failures of the past 8 years and move our country in the right direction, and Obama/Biden will do that.

People have lost their homes, their cars and the security of knowing they can care for and provide for their families. When was the last time you went grocery shopping? I'm a lifelong Dem and I've voted Dem since George McGovern in 1972. For the first time in my life, this year I'm voting Republican. Why? Because Barack obama's wacky crazed (ex?)preacher scares the hell out of me. I suspect there are many more Dems like me. But of course we won't know until November.

i respect your opinion but i must aske...first they said he was muslim then when pastor wright made the comments he did he was under the leadership of a radical christian if you vote for mccain you must be rich or uneducated on the policies of america and wrights words were just that his own words not baracks' but dont be upset when the world is ran by a black man with the interest of america at hand..peace
