He wont play up front. He will probably play on the left. But not as a winger, as an attacking forward. Like what Henry does for Barcelona or even Kuyt does for us now. Thats where Tevez would play aswell. Dont want to play 4-4-2 coz then we have to drop Alonso or Mascherano and we CANT!! We need to stick to 4-2-3-1 it works well. I would prefer David Silva. I agree with you for the most part. Only thing is I think Lavezzi plays all the front spots (ie Striker, att mid, right and left winger). It looks to me like he favours his right boot, so I thought he'd be more a right-sided player. As for dropping xabi or mash, I think we could 'cause Gerrard would drop back (remember he's the best in the mid :p). I would maybe do this against weak opposition and go 4231 against strong ones. Having 2 up front might stop us from having over 10 draws next season

Well we were missing Torres and Gerrard partnership in most of them draws thus we were missing cutting edge. But I still feel our first XI is one player short of being complete. One top class player. Then we must improve our strength in depth to cover injuries. Im not fussed on who we sign, whether it be Lavezzi, Tevez or Silva. If he is world class, then welcome to Anfield as far as im concerned. Keep Torres and Stevie fit most of next season and I feel the title is ours.

But failing that, shifting another player forward to have another target in the box could help get those (what were) elusive goals. And against weak teams we likely wouldn't need the holding combination of alonso and mash. We could probably afford to have mash hold, and Gerrard (or Kuyt/ maybe Yossi) box to box.
