Nice rifle, I have the same one and had it glass bedded too. I found that the glass bedding improved the shot groups considerably. Did you find an improvement in shot groups also?
@therabbit50 absolutely, it made a huge difference. Savage makes some big accuracy claims, and when I started using this I was a little disappointed, (I was using 15$/box amo) So I put on a steal alloy 1 piece picitanny base and good TPS rings, & I decided to bed it myself. There is a point of no return and its pretty nerve racking! but it took my CHEAP amo groups from 2-1/4" down to 1-1/8" groups on average!! I was so glad I did it. Now Im working on a bullet recipe for this gun & expect 1/2"!
