I used to watch this show when i was a kid, hell i used to play sick so i could be the first one in front of the TV, KTVU channel 2 was the place to be,from 14:30 to 16:00 hrs cartoon time, hell kids i getting ripped off these days
At 3:03 ... please tell me that's not the actor's ear I see. I don't ever remember seeing Goldar's ear. But then again, it HAS been 30+ years since I watched this show.
I never block my memory. I'm 36 and loved this show. Can't believe i found it again. i feel i'm the only one who remembers this program. You tube brings back so much memories.
@lehtusbphree i rember this too im 38. i watched it all time back in the day. i forgot the name of it, and ran across it while searching some other stuff on here. a real blast from the past! #LOL
That's a beautiful story! I'm also in Atlanta and watched the show every day at 4:00 pm after school. I threw those books on the ground and flipped on the set! It came on right after "Speed Racer" and "The Flintstones." I was so pissed when it was replaced by "Spectreman"(which I grew to like) and "The Addams Family"
Good days indeed! I see I'm not the only one that was a loyal viewer. It was like a soap opera where the story continued from day to day. Loved it. I was in like the third grade. Run home from school, grab a snack and lay in front of the TV (WTBS) and watch Space Giants!!! Great days!!! I was pissed too when Spectreman replaced them, and I also grew to like that show. Nothing replaces Space Giants, though.
I once made my mom reschedule a dentist's appointment so that I wouldn't miss "Space Giants." She knew that I WAS NOT TO BE DISTURBED weekdays 4:00 to 4:30. If my friends came over to play, I turned them away at the door (if they didn't care to watch with me). "Nope. I'm busy 'till 4:30. Gam & Mikko are fighting the Lugo men today!"
Now, who remembers that WTBS was WTGC before Ted Turner changed the call letters?
Great comment, Kat! I too recall that and I felt the same way as a youngster when "The Space Giants" were on the air! I think I enjoyed "Giants" more than "Star Wars." Hang the "Transformers"....we need a big screen "Space Giants" motion picture!
i live in atl and i used to watch sg religously but when i got older i seldomly found anyone who could remember the show. back in 99 i met a a young lady and during our first conversation just out of the blue she started to discribe a show she used to watch when she was younger soon as she said giant gold rocket i knew she was the one for me we got married in 2000
A classic blooper episode. At about 3:01 of this clip you will notice when Goldar turns his head that he forgot to put on the back section of his helmet. You can see the ears and hair of the actor as well as the helmet strap. Keep them coming Dick.
