Dude, Google owns Youtube and does a great job of keeping a username across the board. Sounds like you either have huge rage issues or just got your first computer. Just Sayin!
Fuck gmail! I didn't want to join gmail and for the longest I didn't have to. When I loggeed into youtube it said that I had to join gmail in order to use my youtube account. Fuck you google and your gmail. And fuck youtube for being cowards and not telling google off.
@Ch3tSt3adman Why do I need help? I shouldnt have to sign up for another email provider to use my youtube account. Youtube used to be free to join regardless email provider and now they are making it so that you have join gmail. I for one do not wish to use gmail and that should be my choice. I should not be forced to join another email provider if I don't want to.
Note: The YouTube previews is no longer in Labs because it is now included with Gmail. Everyone can now post the link in the body and it works. No configuring settings for this.
I don't like that gmail has taken away the option of embedding this so that everyone can see the video player. Is there a way to embed the HTML code directly into the email so everyone who receives it can see the box? Thanks!
All you have to do is include a YouTube URL into the email, as depicted by the above video. Gmail recipients will see the preview and be able to play it as depicted above. Non-Gmail users won't see the preview, but they'll have the link. The ONLY thing that has changed is that seeing these previews is ALWAYS enabled; you don't have to go into labs anymore to enable it (and so it's gone from labs).
Cmon its written in simple English 'Shows a video preview whenever YOU receive a YouTube link in an email. ' .... so it doesnt work if the reciever doesnt enable the same feature.
do not have the youtube LABS??

this is crap, because it is not a real embedding. it is just a gmail's perk and doesn't work if your receivers don't use gmail

All you have to do now is go to the list of Youtube videos, then click and drag the image of the video you want into the email body or signature.

Hi, I sent it to myself and only received the link not the video. Any help much appreciated!

I do not have youtube preview on my labs. Why is it that all so called help videos are not complete. Either keep up to date or go away.

Where in labs is youtube preview? I couldn't find it either, and I am in the U.S.
PuelaLunaris 1 year ago
I had a look through the labs earlier, but I didn't see it. Is this feature for U.S. only? Has it been removed?
I found picture embedding no problem, so my thanks to you for pointing me to have a poke around :)

@santhema I really appreciate the informative update. Good to see that has it passed Labs and is now a built-in feature.

I can't find that lab on my Gmail... Does anyone know if it was removed from Gmail, or just moved somewhere else?
IronWolfProductions 1 year ago
You can't find it because they graduated it. It's no longer a lab feature, it's a default feature of gmail.

What about those who do not use GMAIL? Do you know of a way where they can see it such as Yahoo or other email accounts?

would the receiving customers need to have gmail and the labs feature enabled?

Yes, if the person your sending the video to is also using gmail and also has enable video previewing, this would be a great marketing tool.
i was looking for details on embedding video's. The title of this is not accurate, this is how to preview videos in gmail, not how to send videos.
ej00807 2 years ago
You are 100% right. This is a video explaining how to preview videos in gmail, not how to send embedded videos in emails through gmail.
