I was there on the 4th. I was sooo bummed when they canceled the firworks. But at least they tried. :) You have to give them credit for that.

yeah totally did you exit though the backstage area they opened? it was weird they had a laser on the castle. and a whole lot of smoke.

Do you mean exit the park? Because we stayed until mid night and exited out the normal gate. But we sat at the plaza gardens during the actual show and then headed to fantasmic after they canceled it. I wonder why they had a lazer on the castle?? I heard that it caught on fire and the fact that you saw smoke makes it beievable

They didn't cancel Fantasmic well not the one at 10:30 at least...well that might not be totally true because I left to go shopping about 5 or 10 minutes into the show. So they might have.

That sucks for DL. I was actually looking forward to seeing the finale. They were only about 2 minutes away from the finale.

At least MK ran all 4 of its Celebrate America shows. Cancellations do not exist there.

wrong Disneyland had a longer version of this show planned but modified then canceled also MK doesn't have dl fireworks technology so MK had a slightly different  version and shorter

I'm not sure what you mean. Both parks have the exact same show. Pyro design and choreography is completely different of course (DL: 1 main zone; MK: 2 main zones, 2 main perim zones, and 5 other perim zones.) but the music and length is exactly the same.

Only difference between the pyro depts. of both parks is that DL's 1.3 product is launched via compressed air. Other than that MK has a much greater 1.3 shell capacity in 1500-1600 range compared to 450 for DL.

Don't get me wrong, I really like how DL's version was done. Not sure why DL fans are quick to jump the gun and attack anyone who mentions MK.

Walt Disney World was so lucky where they had the same show at the Magic Kingdom in its entirety. If you want to see the same show from Walt Disney World, go to one of the videos and watch the whole that "figmentfan" has put that up. This version from Disneyland sucks!

O.O fireworks cancelled on the 4th of July? you've got to be kidding me! if it was "Remember" i wouldn't be surprised, but i feel bad for all those people who paid a bunch of money just to see the fireworks get cancelled.

Hey, blame all the retards who thought it'd be a swell idea to park lawn chairs in the middle of Ball Road and Harbor Boulevard to watch the fireworks because the park itself was at capacity. The fireworks weren't canceled because of wind or technical difficulties, they were canceled because the Anaheim Fire Marshall called and told them to cancel it because people outside of the park were creating safety hazards in the streets.
