When I did this mission I drove a bit forward and shot the guys head in the car then i killed the two gang members, and then another guy ran to the car and took the dead body out and he got in. Then as soon as he got in I shot him and he died

You made that look a lot easier than it is. That getaway car can escape quickly if you don't wipe out the others immediately.

I know you enjoy the car chase and didn't want to miss that, but this mission is much easier if you steal a big truck or any vehicle and ram that getaway car into the back of the garage so he's stuck and can't escape while you mow everyone down.
