This video was taken in New York, about 2 hours from NYC. It's my video. There was no food on my porch, just a bag of garbage that came from my car. We forgot to take it to the can. We have ALOT of bears here. This one is about the biggest we've seen around our house. I have a Lab/Husky mix who barks in its face and it just ignores the dog.

i was gunna record one that was trying to brake down my fence to the back yard but it was pitch black and no lights so you would just see black but the bear was as big as this bear and climbed our 7ft fence to get in and out of our yard trying to get into our shed :P

Nice. Just don't try to pet it, or feed it, or be outside with it. We had a couple of younger bears and you could hear them tracking you in the bushes, you couldn't see them though, the tree line was just too thick.

unfortunately, since he isn't afraid of people he most likely will be shot. Bears who loose their fear of humans quickly become problem animals. And since they aren't afraid they can become aggressive super quickly.

Haha, but it depends on what kind of dog you have. A toy poodle wouldn't stand a chance. But a 6 month German Shepherd gets pretty big, and would fight better than a pussy cat.

Black bears does not have the same killer instinct as a grizzly does which is quite nice because bears are pretty cuddly after all :)

@Fudji black bears are still very deadly not as much as grizzlies which is why when they are spotted in rural areas they make a big deal as if it were King Kong. don't leave trash out keep pets and children indoors

@willisapril I talked to a few park rangers and the way it goes it. If you play dead with a grizzly it will usually think your not a threat anymore, but if you play dead with a black bear then they will eat you if they think your dead which is why they say fight back against them. either way your in a stick situation lol
