The problem why we don't open up our borders to Poland is because it's already opened up to so many other European countries. If we opened them to Poland, then we might have to close them down to another country. And that just isn't fair to them, it's different with Puerto Rico because they're already one of our colonies. It's an American territory, so part of the U.S. has already occupied them. France isn't one of our colonies, but we do share some connections with it, so that's another reason
Just like in this movie Polish people no longer want to go, to work in U.S. Mainly because we can get better money working in Europe - people with good education in east(Russia, Ukraine, Belarus etc.), and people with poor education in west.
