  • how many treats can I give my puppy? she's a 5-month old Maltese X Shih Tzu pup.

  • were i can get the clicker ?

  • wat a fikkin dick dis video sucks camel dicks with

    with a side of kangarros

  • you are an idiot enough said mister clicker

  • Hello Zak .. it really helps .. thanx alot & I`ll E-Mail u for some questions .. thx buddy :D

  • Single guy?.... how did that happen?... you are amazing!! Thank you SO much for helping with those videos, i was a dog trainer in the Army (i'm from Israel) and i did not like the way they teach how to train dogs, and your way is not the best way, it's the ONLY way!! Thanks!!!

  • i dont caere wat any of these dumbfucks say ur fucking smart as hell and thank u so much

  • This really helped. But i have 2 blue pits. If one dont eat it. The other does :/

  • @420SoGone1 work with them 1 by 1 ....

  • doest it matter wat kind of dog u have?

  • i dont care what anyone says, i have used several of his techniques on my lab and brittany and they have responded so well, i have been able to teach them things in matters of minutes

  • Very informative however you are very overdue for a bath and trimming. It seems "YOUR" owner neglected to care for your hygiene. The together a nd sweat reflect a poorly cleaned pen however the dog looked clean.

  • SuperMikaelAngelo:

Your currency is probably not good enough. You can try: feeding her her meals only through training (she'll listen cuz she'll be hungry) or if not that try real meat or cheese, the softer and smellier the better. Try hotdogs or cheddar cheese. Then once she is interested, lure her from a sit into a lie down by bringing the treat down to the ground and around towards her butt. Then reinforce her for it by clicking and treating :) hope this helps :p

  • Say hello to the Internet!! Say hellloooo!!!!!

  • this is a great video. It really shows that pitbulls can be trained and are really good dogs if you put in the effort. Keep it up!

  • Zac, you answer this and Ill subscribe :P.

While training my puppy, I seem to have trouble keeping her attention.

Even with treats in my hand.

I am trying to teach her to lie down.

And she just isn't catching it.

She's a bull-terrier and it seems keeping her attention is an issue.

After asking her several times to lie down and showing her by gently pushing her down.

Even with that. She glances away, her attention just isn't on me.

    Please, any advice? Anyone? :P

  • @SuperMikaelAngelo I'm not Zac, but instead of pushing her down into the position you want her to be in, use the treat or her favorite toy to lure her into it.

EG: To get a dog to sit, you would have the treat/toy in your hand and have it in front of them while getting your dog to follow the treat/toy into a sitting position by moving it past the dogs head and towards their back. It usually gets them to sit.

Be sure to reward the correct behavior.

    I hope that makes sense.

  • @SerpentQueen03 It isn't sitting I have problems with. Its lying down.

And she isn't interested in treats or being lured at all.

    Luring isn't her thing.

  • you are great you have amazing talents with dogs!!! i love your videos

  • what you said at 8:58 is exactly what I asked you in a previous vide comment:))..sorry about that...be sure I'll watch all your videos:D

  • the thing that worrys me is if i use the word "YES!" or the clicker when i teach my dog on he did something good when i use the clicker i'm worried that my dog will not cares about the clicker and kept on eating XD

  • Okay, now how do you get a pitbull to obey when he's at the dog park cause when I take mine to there he doesn't listen and run to play with other dogs. He doesn't even follow us. They are really hard headed dogs.

  • Wow thatz amazing ima try it wit my pit

  • great video!! :D really informative. but does this training takes a long time as in days and weeks or we can do it in a day?

  • LOL... How much longer is this going to take on a puppy that I have been trying to stop with pulling for a couple of weeks? I guess I'll find out. No time like the present to get started.

  • u look like bear grylls

  • 8:19 and 9:00 u see flys . . .

  • this is really good man

  • This has been really helpful! Thanks =)

  • First- I love real approach to dog training, thank you for your help. Second- I recently adopted an Aussie ( 10 months old) who only kinda knew how to sit. She is already doing well with structured exercise, training and the affection/bonding she gets now. Third- I decided to try clicker training for the first time with this girl and I just click my tong twice. It seems to help but I'm not experienced with clicker training. Is there a reason why using my own tong click sound isn't a good idea???

  • lojo says : WHY???????? :P hehe :P srry i'm just joking around :P

  • where do you get the klicker???

  • @vovome1 any pet store

  • @bvanderwoerd i am in Jamaica is it in Jamaica and i want t train my dog well

  • @firstadrian Im sure you can just by it online from anywhere that delivers to Jamaica, maybe try amazon dot com?

  • i want to become a dog trainer but have no idea how to get that type of education any ideas?

  • @17hannahblair Try and see if there are any nearby pet stores or animal shelters that you can volunteer at, and if you maybe have somebody you know who has any experience in training or caring for dogs, try to see if they can give you some basic information on training dogs. Also, the best thing to do is to in my opinion is to volunteer at an animal shelter, because animal shelters focus mostly on training, and if your inexperienced, they wont want to hire you, but they will except volunteers.

  • Loved the video! thank you for the tips :) Abby (my puppy) will sure appreciate them.

  • wat the clicker for

  • @firstadrian it becomes the reward

  • Wow....good info! Thanks zakgoerge21!! I am going to check some other of your videos!! :)

  • *others know nothing

  • pretty cool stuff

  • damn fly 8:05

  • 'YOU ARE NOT A TRAINING SPECIALIST'.

    Hilarious.

What this means is this guy can't connect to dogs at all, he needs to rigidly follow protocols formulated by others. The only difference with an ACTUAL AUTIST is the autist develops HIS OWN protocols and doesn't behave like a mentally raped victim in denial who's given up his mind and competence TO OBEY LIKE AN AUTOMATON.

OBEY OBEY OBEY OBEY. It's like the movie 'They Live', isn't it? Sad.

  • @suddenlyitsobvious calm your tits

  • @puredrive61

    Who's not calm, porky?

  • Haters here do us all a favor and shut up...

And If you're gonna go to this vid to explain slavery against dogs... You are fools

This video is not about slaving dogs... It's a matter of discipline... our parents Taught us to be responsible and we do so with our dogs...

    Only Fools will enslave dogs...

P.S don't dare reply against this comment if you have something to say against it. Keep it to yourself.

  • very helpful, thanks

  • how old they gotta be befor you star teaching them?

  • thank you

  • ...chasing a cat that's running towards the highway, the dog doesn't even dream of listening to its master. He's done all these stupid things, he never gets to have any fun, and now he's gonna have it.

If one has a healthy attitude and no fear of dogs, there's no need for training at all. The dog naturally understands and adapts to the requirements of a situation.

  • WHY must dogs be 'trained'? These 'trainings' aren't aimed at actual working dogs, but at everyday dogs part of family's. What on earth must they be trained for?

In reality, there's no reason to train them whatsoever and it's counterproductive.

It's just about the owners' insecurities, giving the dog countless pointless commands in a pathetic attempt to establish authority.

Of course, when it counts most, when the dog is FINALLY doing something funny rather than listening to its boring master..

  • With a click one tells the dog he's been a good boy.

How psychotic, how autistic is that?

People most obsessed with controlling their dog always mess them up and end up walking it on a lead all the time, vigilantly scanning the surroundings for the presence of another dog, considered a MENACE of course, since the dog has become as autistic as its master and can't even deal with the situation of encountering another dog anymore.

Would YOU like to be addressed with CLICKS?

  • 'How important communication is with your dog'??!!

    USING CLICKERS??!!

That's AUTISM, a sad kind of pavlovian programming reflecting a COMPLETE DISCONNECT from animal life, which corresponds to a complete disconnect from one's emotional life. Such artefacts & using cookies is just pathetic.

Why oh why are dog trainers always the people least equipped to deal with them?

There's more to life than DOMINANCE & OBEYING. All this is based on fear of loss of control, FAKE relationships with animals.

  • @suddenlyitsobvious stop smoking crack. if you want 100% natural conditions go to the jungle.

  • @KKingstoneRR

'if you want 100% natural conditions go to the jungle. '

What an absurd argument. I live in a city with my dog, never use a leash and never trained my dog. I don't need to because I'm not a control-freak and my dog is not an autistic robot, meaning he can function intelligently and relatively independently.

If you need an 'expert' telling you how to train your dog you're completely on the wrong track, presumably because you're another stressed-out anally retentive automaton.

  • @suddenlyitsobvious I am sure you have some rescue or mix dog who is all ok, eating cookies from your hand and sleeping under your covers. I have a working dog, euro doberman pincher trained as a schutzhund. If you enter my house he will immobilize you, every time you move is going to bite you.A small example. If he wasnt trainned he could eat you alive.

if you live a mizerable life and world sucks in your eyes doesnt mean all humanity has to change. go protest for something that really matters.

  • @KKingstoneRR

'If you enter my house he will immobilize you, every time you move is going to bite you'

QED. It's ALL ABOUT AGGRESSION and controlling aggression. I hope you are not suggesting that your dog controlling your house against intruders (what are you so afraid of?) makes him a working dog.

And yes, mine actually IS a working dog who can work.

My life isn't miserable and why are YOU protesting against MY POSTS? Do they matter so much to you?

  • So you have your dog trained to growl at people but not quite bite them. How 'interesting'! What a fun a joyous life you and your dog must have...

  • Your dog is a cookie dog like all normal dog pets. I told you I have a working dog. You cant make any dog a working dog.Dobermans are very energetic and obedient & need to spend their energy in a good way. So that's why we chose them for guards. As for your comment about immobilizing, this is the default reaction when owner is not there. On command ONLY the dog can turn humans into pieces of meat. You have no idea about all this concept.

  • @KKingstoneRR

'On command ONLY the dog can turn humans into pieces of meat. You have no idea about all this concept.'

Yes I do and it's precisely what motivated my posts in the first place. Your post adds nothing new to your previous one, you keep repeating my dog is a 'cookie dog' when I've told you he's a working dog, and you insist that your dog can attack on command.

You have basically demonstrated MY CASE and I find your approach to dogs UTTERLY UNINTERESTING.

    Why don't you just...

  • @KKingstoneRR

...get yourself a gun instead of a dog, it obviously bopils down to the same thing, except the gun may be a bit smarter.

It's a miserable connection to animals rooted in emotional failure that breeds this type of mindless human interactions with their dogs. Good luck with your stressed-out automaton. (Can he even socialize with other dogs? I guess not huh?). Bye.

  • You obviously have no idea about Schutzhund dogs. I walk with my dobie without leash everywhere, in parks too where he meets his friends , dogs and humans. He is very sociable and will not attack without reason. You need to get out of your house meet people, speak but first get educated cause you make yourself look stupid. Nobody can take you into account from your poor argumentation and lack of knowledge.

  • @KKingstoneRR

'Nobody can take you into account from your poor argumentation and lack of knowledge'

I have made an argument, you haven't.

Bottom line of your story appears to be that your dog was trained to guard your house and attack on command. I don't see how that makes it a working dog and quite frankly, I find it BIZARRE people train their dogs to attack humans, but that's just my view.

At any rate, this vid is obviously not addressing working dog training, as I have already...

  • @KKingstoneRR

    ...mentioned in an earlier post.

Therefore your entire line of 'argumentation' is in fact off-topic, your argument being, if I may summarize:

You have a dog who attacks on command and therefore it's a working dog, wherefore I know nothing cos mine is a cookie-dog.

You'll understand I can't exactly be impressed with this nonsense.

  • @KKingstoneRR

Oh, I forgot the major part of your argument:

People not agreeing with you or presenting you with an argument or observation you resent are automatically wrong, because they're not educated.

    Don't try again please.

  • @suddenlyitsobvious You are not a training specialist, so your opinion is equal to a housewifes. You don't know how training is done. Speak with facts, we don't care how you see world as a big scary place with bad people inside where everyone is wrong and you are the correct activist ,fighting for animal rights and nature.Go shut your laptop off, cause electricity is being produced from factories where they polute the planet and the eco-system you lil smartass. Do people take you seriously irl?

  • @KKingstoneRR

'You are not a training specialist, so your opinion is equal to a housewifes'

And here we have it: your authority-fetish. Manuals and trainings and rigid protocols are absolutely authoritative to you in dealing with dogs, or should I say, in PROGRAMMING them?

Your approach to dogs is EXACTLY THE SAME as a low grade military recruit learning how to handle a gun, a gun of course being an OBJECT.

Your only arguments so far have been ad hominems based on ridiculous inferences...

  • @KKingstoneRR

...and an offensive, very intellectually dishonest type of flawed logic merely serving to avoid the exposure of your UTTERLY LIMITED skills in dealing with dogs.

Your approach to dogs is AUTISTIC.

I'm not an animal-activist and my discourse was addressing HUMAN AUTISM and MINDLESS CONFORMISM, not animal politics.

I'm sorry but we are obviously not in the same league. Your posts are substandard garbage without any interest or substance whatsoever.

  • @suddenlyitsobvious You mad?

  • @KKingstoneRR

    'mad?'

I wouldn't say mad but it's always supremely irritating and tragic I find to see people think a diploma and a training course have allowed them to understand dogs. It's quite psychotic actually. You've already demonstrated how obsessed you are with the themes of obeying, authority, aggression.

Your sad little world is YOURS, NOT the dogs, who are really a lot more interesting creatures, until they meet you and get DULLED DOWN. Nuff said.

  • @KKingstoneRR

Be honest: YOUR obsession is for dogs to OBEY you, for you to CONTROL their AGGRESSION and you've simply made a living out of it, have actually convinced yourself that your ridiculous non-relationship with dogs is worth something, while all along you're hiding behind your (authority's) manuals and protocols.

There are people around who can make ACTUAL, HONEST relationships with dogs.

Oh, btw, have you tried using clickers on your girlfriend as well? Might actually work.

  • @suddenlyitsobvious

You just made me laugh. I've got a girlfriend and friends. Dogs don't complete my entire life, k? I am not using clickers or anything, cause I haven't trained my dogs by myself. And yes, I need my 40kg dog to be a soldier in my house, you have a problem with that?

  • @KKingstoneRR

'cause I haven't trained my dogs by myself.'

Well, I'm happy to hear it although of course this means you paid money to someone else to establish YOUR relationship with YOUR 'working dog' for you.

You tell me he's trained to immobilize people in your house and rip them up if they move.

You'll understand I'm not exactly impressed and I really don't see the difference with someone booby-trapping their house or buying a gun.

So basically u admit u couldn't relate to your dog. OK.

  • @suddenlyitsobvious

Yes I payed and I got exactly what I wanted. I have no problem if some professional knows how to train my dog. You are still failing to understand how training works, what's the purpose and what are the advantages of a trained dog, especially when they tend to be vicious. As I said, your opinion is still equal to a housewifes cause you judging from personal experiences while you are not a dog specialist/behaviorist.

  • @KKingstoneRR

your opinion is still equal to a housewifes cause you judging from personal experiences while you are not a

    dog specialist/behaviorist.'

At least I'm not arguing like a house wife who can only rant others no nothing because not homologated by authority. Since you can't even 'train' your own dog, one of the few things that's certain here is that you couldn't even do what any housewife could.

Dogs btw do not tend to be 'vicious'. They are made vicious by people fascinated/...

  • @suddenlyitsobvious It is not about rocket science to train a dog. Some dog breeds are overprotective , this is something you don't know. You speak with 0 experience on dogs. Just because you own a cookie dog you think the rest are like yours.. Wrong...

  • @KKingstoneRR

'Just because you own a cookie dog you think the rest are like yours.. Wrong...'

And yet another mindless argument born of complete incompetence and impotence. Why don't you at least curl up in a ball and protect your head from the blows you're receiving? Your retorts are pitiful.

  • @suddenlyitsobvious You are getting more mad cause you realize your dog is worth nothing but some cookies. Now its your problem not mine. I took care of my dog and sent him to the best schools. Now you know what you have to do in case you get a new pet.

  • @KKingstoneRR

    ...obsessed with aggression.

The fact that you can't process discourse or argument but mindlessly follow in bigoted fashion what any 'expert' tells you indicates you are not equipped to form a relationship with another living creature. You need a manual.

I hope for your girlfriend she's had an expert write a manual on how she ought to be treated since it's obvious you wouldn't be able to figure this out yourself...

Why do you need to have the last word? You are such a child.

  • @KKingstoneRR

Look, it's simple: I win, you lose. You've said nothing intelligent, don't address my initial argument with anything worthwile at all, there's no vision or understanding or connection with dogs and all you keep repeating I'm as good as a housewife cos I'm not a prof dogtrainer (a rather bizarre statement since neither are you) which means I can't understand how great it is you had someone train your vicious dog into being a lethal weapon in your home.

    It's a disconnected rant.

  • @KKingstoneRR

Do you really consider making a relationship with dogs is about listening to some guy who's got a diploma from some dog training center and who's convinced it's all about tricks and protocols and ESPECIALLY, OF COURSE, ESPECIALLY, KEEPING IN CONTROL OF YOUR DOG.

How boring to live in a black and white world where the only two existing parameters are dominance and submission. It's just typical, isn't it? Modern man's autism pushed to new levels of insanity.

  • I have two blue pits one female the daughter the father is 15months and a large chow 3-4 years old, How do i train them all to get along in side the house .

  • I just got an 11month old lab mix from the pound :D named him charger. I found your videos very helpful

  • Thank you for the help. I am hopefully getting a Female Aussie in a week or two. Do you have any tips to help, like basic commands that NEED to be known.

  • me and my boyfriend like to watch this naked

  • Hey thanks, this method really works.

  • I really enjoyed watching this

  • My puppy always run away from me teach my pup

  • Hi Zak! just wanted to let everyone know how effective this is. we just watched his vid the other day and the next day my bf wanted to try it out with our year old pit. It really works! and he learned it within minutes. i was surprised and completely proud of our pitbull for listening. he was so cute looking at his dad as if asking when he can have the treat.

  • good jod bro

  • Thankyou Zak... you're a legend! Still single?

  • how old was the pittbulll

  • Hey make a video teaching a dog sitting

  • Hey make a video teaching siting dog siting

  • Thanks! Your techniques are brill xx

  • hey there i was just wondering how to stop my puppy from biteing? ive tryed the "leave" i did it from hand in a fist to try get them to lick then back off. but mine doesnt lick she always bites at my hand. normaly this wouldnt bother me as she is a pup but i have a young baby and want to stomp the habbit out asap. any tips will be greartly apreciated.Dan

  • Hi Zak! I was wondering - how much of your rules/thoughts about dog training were included in your education? Was you education promoting positive training, or did you come to that conclusion by your self?

  • nice job zak keep going ;-)

  • how long did this take?

  • Thank's a lot

  • this really works!!!

  • go shit youre self he isnt amazing fuck you lier

  • Dude Yuh Look Like Jeff Goldblum

  • you sir .. are just amazin !!

    v need some1 like u here in India :(

  • you sir.. are a genius...good day

  • wats ur email?

  • Jeff Goldblum! That's who he reminds me of, took a minute. Well, took seven minutes :P

  • who wants to bring a clicker around everywhere.. just praise the dog and it will understand.

  • it like you become the dog it very good like the dogs that i work this are just loving this type of training

  • How old is the dog????????????

  • you look high lol

  • i love my dog :)

  • i love you

  • he looks high

  • I looked at clicker....I liked voice with treat better...I'm not a robot!

  • ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh that is awesome as in full of awe and wonderful :)

  • My dog says so much with only her face and eyes, its incredible.

  • can i still train a dog even if its not hunggry?cuz obviosly they're at the food that's why they follow commands.

  • @kuyajhet it probably depends. if youre training the dog with a substantial amount of treats you should cut back on the dog food a little bit.

  • SWEATY!

  • Awesome! I've been trying this for like 2 months with my Bernese and she just won't listen but after this video she has learned to leave it until I tell her okay! Thanks!

  • tnx for the videos! They really help me train my dog!

  • hi i have a dog she learned really quickly like in 10 mins

  • Hi Zak...I'm a new subscriber and I'm loving your videos...

  • Excellent video, i really liked your method

  • I got a new dog too... he's lazy and seems not to be interested in treats.. what do I do? lol

  • @Liberalunconformest Let him sit on the couch as a reward, LOL

  • @Amelia102938 hahaha He's a lot better now and follows me everywhere lol but when he's done he goes back to sleep.. and snores lol

  • i got a new dog, how do i train it? hahahhahahaha

  • I loved this video, specially since my nephew's new puppie is called Mojo :)

  • Oh god you're good..

  • if u starting whit clicker dont train pasiv behavers first becus than u cant free shape the dog. learn the dog to sit stand, lay down, look at you, targeting etc first. do like zak but just remove the clicker. clicker training is a game where when u dont say anythning giving no cluse and have revards in your pocket, its the dogs job to think.

  • dude your better than the trainers because you do this for free and trainers you have to pay them a lot of money and looking them eye to eye is better because you get their attention

  • @D00dleBug03 you can use a pen that you have to click in and out. I have used those and they are still effective. but clickers are very cheap and you can buy them at a nearby pet store :)

  • A hotdog on the ground whitout being eat?!

    SAY THAT TO MY ROTTWEILER!

I have this rottweiler from like 1y and some months!

And i know that the rottweiler has a rule! Or I AM THE BOSS or HE IS THE BOSS!

In this moment...he's the boss! Do you think that i can train him from this age?

  • instead of the clicker can i just snap?

  • I always look my dogs into the eye, its our way to communicate,

i dont want to train my dog and always heve to remember to avoid eyecontact,

    its just not handy.

My dogs can read me when they look into my eye and i can read my dogs when i look them in the eye.

I thinks its another story when youre coming on the property of a strange dog and then look him in the eye.. thats can be seeing as a chalange for the dog (or how do you say that, my englisch is not so strong, sorry)

    well done!

  • his shirt say dogs rule

  • its easy with this tiny dog. i have a giant one he sleeps all the day and he's stupid ^^

  • i like to practice locking eyes w/my dog, so he can see that direct eye communication is also gentle.i don't know where that came from that they don't like direct eye contact, but i do see titan doesn't win staring contests w/me, he'd rather look away.i also talk to him like he's a child, a normal human.i do believe they can communicate better when we talk normal b/c we're giving them more signals to read.i think they can tell our tone, intent, mood, etc.&communicate better when we talk normal.

  • This is great, but I would NEVER give the dog the treat I told him to leave, because I've found most dogs will always be waiting for when they can take it (which can be dangerous when dealing with a dropped pill or a dead bird). I like to teach LEAVE IT and then TAKE IT with a different piece of treat. I then also teach them to WAIT until I say they can TAKE IT in the sort of style you are teaching LEAVE IT ALONE. Still a great video, though.

  • @SitDownStay5

    thats a good idea!

  • you are absolutely awesome!

i watched every video you have.

i'm so impressed of your way to communicate with dogs i can even feel your deep understanding and love for dogs!

please keep on uploading videos its fantastic!

i get a doberman in august and i can't wait to communicate and teach him the way you do.

i'm a big fan of you

    thanks for the videos <3

  • ;D awesome

  • HOLY CRAP ur like the dog whisper!

  • @jonaslove951 he is a dog whisper.

  • HOLY CRAP ur like the dog wisper!

  • when i talk to people i look at their mouths. is that normal?

  • @bobbychops1 I do that too but mostly when they are speaking to me.

  • The click should be the promise for a reward - everytime- consider that each click without a reward weakens the dogs reaction on the clicker.

  • i love the confidence you have when speaking to the camera. very charismatic. :)

  • me and my dog can stare on each others eyes for more than 10mins. i think its important to have eye contact with your dog. it established a good connection. its true.

  • 2:07 he didn't eat the treat

  • I just got a new puppy, can you give me some tips? LOL, just kidding. i liked your vid, and i gotta say, i agree with your training style. keep making them :)

  • well done

  • nice vid
