You're an idiot if you think the dually has double the traction. The weight is spread over 4 wheels rather than two, so each wheel has less contact pressure. On the dually, less force needs to be applied ot break the coefficient of friction on each tire.

@PkwyDr i know but ive had a chevy cummins and a ford and for some reason the ford just seems to pull better. if the cummins or chevy were better, hell i wouldnt say they werent. maybe the cummins has more of both... but what im thinking is the trans also is important to put all that hp and torque to the rear wheels properly and effeciently. i love cummins no doubt either way! if it does the job i want.. works for me! but this is mainly traction problems and weight.

You're an idiot if you think the dually has double the traction. The weight is spread over 4 wheels rather than two, so each wheel has less contact pressure. On the dually, less force needs to be applied ot break the coefficient of friction on each tire.

If one vehicle has more traction then the other it does not matter how much power it has...take a tractor for instance....say this tractor has a 30hp engine, a truck of the same weight about 200hp, im pretty sure the tractor will win, because it has more traction.
