This winter has been cold and snowy since 14 December last. On 17 December a front dropped 10 cm in Nijmegen, another one, followed by snow squalls brought another 15 cm on Sunday December 20. A light thaw succeeded for a time to penetrate inland and it touched Nijmegen just for a few minutes. This is winter at last. Today, Jan. 2, a small low is approaching with snow, probably in the late afternoon or evening, followed by even colder air.

It may be -10C or lower from tomorrow at night.

I live in kingston to. This is nothing compared to this year! its INSANE we just had another snow storm today! 10-15cm! its insane! and a couple days earlier, we had a huge storm we were out of power for like... well 8 hours! and there was lightning in the snow storm! it was rad!

Im not gonna agree that this year is the worst, cause lastyear we didnt have the warm spells we're getting now. It would just snow and snow and snow. And stay SUPER cold.

I remember seeing the lightening in the storm lastweek, and we were out of power for a while too! What area of Kingston are you in?

10-15 cm, is NOT a snow storm...in quebec, to have a snow storm, you have to have more then 15 cm of snow with winds of 60 km/hours and +

We did not have a snow storm any worse than this video had, gunnerforce. In Michigan, we get a little over a foot of snow, maximum. We hardly ever get 2 foot of snow in Michigan. The New England states gets 2 foot of snow, not us!

I gave that video 5 stars. I love snow and frost, but here in The Netherlands winters are mild and we have had not such an event for years. Sometimes it has been cold for a few days, then we get snow like in the first minute of this video. The snow stops, the similarity ends as drizzle or rain sets in and one or two hours later the temperature starts to rise. Another long mild spell on the way. I hope that winter 2008-2009 will bring us something else for a change.

The last snow event like this in The Netherlands was in March 2005. It was very cold, around 0C at daytime, below 0C at night. A very active warm front dropped 50 cm of snow in the North of the Netherlands, even though there was no difference in temperature. It was as cold on the 'warm' side with some intermittant light snowfall as on the 'cold' side in the intensive snow belt. Following the snowfall, night temperatures plummetted to almost -20 Celsius. I really enjoyed it.

well even at 35 secs, thats bloody hard snow for england standards, i mean every other year we get a batch of snow about 5-6 inches lol in uk, shame really, its the fact were an island and warm sea air from the atlantic just doesnt help at all, i mean we get alot of rain and i mean alot, just doesnt turn to snow unfortunately!

Ever stop to think that people experience storms differently depending on where they live? This storm was a pretty bad one for Kingston Ontario, and just recently (In feb / march ) we had storms 10x as bad. Thanks for taking the time to actually view the rest of the video.

OMG people keep putting gay videos on youtube that say white-out or really heavy snow but if you think this is heavy snow come to North Dakota and really see what heavy snow is. To North Dakota this is nothing. THIS IS NOT A BAD STORM AT ALL DURING THE WINTER I SEE SNOW LIKE THIS JUST ABOUT EVERYDAY.

I love snow it's cool, I lived in windsor ontario for 3 years back in the 90's, canada had it's coldest winter in 30 years, it got as cold as -30c in windsor and we had a big snow storm that year too! One of my fantasies is to have sex with a hot canadian girl in the snow- no bull!!! anyway enough of my filthy snowy mind! Moncton had a kick as storm the other day 100cm and 10ft drifts!!
