  • Oh god, Trekfreek is everywhere....

  • @NonstopRam Agreed.

  • Screw you guys, I'm a Star Trek fan and I LOVED this film.

  • @Trentest0 You’re, what I call, a merchandise fan of ST. You like anything with the ST name on it as long as it comes from the owners of the franchise. I'm an intellectual ST fan. It is fans like me that ST was aimed at for over 40 years. The new movie is aimed at video game fans & little children. Its plot is a Hollywood cookie cutter plot. It has no hart & has over a dozen film mistakes. It ties "Plan 9 from Outer Space" for the most armature mistakes made on film.

  • hey guys... guess whose gonna be in the sequel... KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I LIKE THIS SHIP.

    you know its exciting!

  • Great new theme to a new great movie. JJ Abrams really did reboot the series. All I need now is a remake of the original series.

  • @ROFLmao35216 "All I need now is a remake of the original series" did you even watch the movie? It killed the Original series. This insult to all intelligent is now the only Star Trek Paramount is making now.

  • @Trekfreek

What's wrong with the new movie? Changes the universe? Whatever. TNG changed the timeline, and Enterprise changed it as well. Shatner was a poor actor, and TOS was made on a shoestring budget. Of course I don't expect much from someone who's avatar is the Star Trek logo. Don't be an idiot. TOS series pretty much sucked.

  • @ROFLmao35216 You can make bad assumptions about TNG, TOS and the new movie but don't ditch on Bill or TOS! Shatner is a good actor, most people who say otherwise don't like his voice but are not aware of it. TOS was a great series and its budget was the maximum allowed for sci-fi back in the 60's. Compare Star Trek to Lost in Space or Doctor Who and you will see that Star Trek's FX was fair more impressive then anything that was on TV back then. The stories held up for 30 years.

  • @ROFLmao35216 It is you who are being an "idiot" because only idiots insult strangers & hate classic Trek. "What's wrong with the new movie?" 1.The plot: Farm boy turned criminal lies cheats & piss on his superiors in order to go from cadet to Captain. 2.Characters: None emotional people throwing temper tantrums, Sluts getting away with sleeping their way to the flag ship, & Villains more retarded then Timmy from South Park. 3.Science: Magic goo that makes random worm/black holes.

  • @ROFLmao35216 PS. TNG's Time line changes did not affect the major events in the time line. rEnterprise was more like a fan show then real Star Trek. Also it's not the Star Trek Logo it’s the Command badge. Star Trek has no logo until Star Trek II and it was slightly different then my Command badge.

  • @Trekfreek If you hate it so much, why are you viewing this video? No one wants to listen to hear bitch about how awful you think this movie is.

  • @Trekfreek Sorry, I meant *no one wants to listen or hear you bitch about how awful you think this movie is.

  • @evilshadowlover117 Well then, I guess it's good that I'm writing instead of making videos about how bad this movie is. That why people can't HEAR me or LISTEN to me.

  • @Trekfreek Okay mister literal. That still doesn't change the fact that you're viewing a video you hate, just to let everyone know you hate it. Troll.

  • @evilshadowlover117 I don't know much about YouTube slang but from my understanding a "Troll" is someone who has 1-0 videos and goes around picking fights and insulting strangers without provocation. I have a dozen videos, I don't pick fights and I never EVER insult someone without them insulting me 3 times in arrow first. But you have one video, you pick fights and you just insulted me for no reason. Hummm, tell me again who is the troll?

  • @Trekfreek Yeah okay I'll own up to my mistakes, whatever. You've done a very good job at avoiding my question though; what are you doing on this video if you hate it so much?

  • @evilshadowlover117 For the nine hundredth time I have answered all your questions. But I see I have to spell it out for you. "what are you doing on this video if you hate it so much?" I'm here for the exact opposite reason you are here to point out how bad this movie is. I thought that was pretty obvious by now.

  • This "theme" SUCKED as bad as the movie it's self did! Michael Giacchino is great with animated film soundtracks, but when it comes to Star Trek (or in the case of this turd, "Star Trek: In Name Only"!) he's certainly nowhere near as creative as Alexander Courage or Jerry Goldsmith.

Those men were GODS compared to Giacchino!

  • stupid Call Of Duty Elite, get your filthy advertising away from here!

  • 14 people are andorians XD ohoho

  • @Trekfreek So you are no one and JJ Abrams is who he is becouse you actually know what is a good film and he doesn`t? becouse you study? come on...

  • @josessin Everyone is someone even a no face 25 year old from Argentina. The Big difference between me and Jar Jar is that Jar Jar is born rich and I'm still poor. But I'm working on it. I even have a terrific Sci-Fi story already for a screen treatment that in my humble opinion will blow the water out of even the best Sci-Fi classic film. I'll I need to make it a reality is a mere $100,000,000 and the aid of classic screen writers like Nick Myer.

  • ummm... is it a bad thing i has a boner right now D:?

  • i can play this on my guitar

  • Star Trek was The Dark Knight of the Summer of 2009. It was the movie that came out, and not only was a killer movie from top to bottom, but went far above and beyond what anyone was expecting, and delivered on everything it needed to.

  • @thejoker100ify If by "killer movie" you mean it killed people’s brain cells & Star Trek in one two hour crap fest then you’re right. "Went far above & beyond what anyone was expecting" Again correct, I expected it to be a poor adaptation of Star Trek, It turned out to be a mega disaster for film making! It is by far the worst film I have ever seen. This film, like its hero, pissed on every self respecting film maker in the world. Shit Trek: the hit that should have never been.

  • @Trekfreek

Wow dude. really? You do realize that this was a reboot of the franchise, right? I loved this movie and make NO apologies for it, despite what you might think. In fact, I'm glad that JJ Abrams decided to ignore stupid, rabid Trekkies like yourself and just make a good fucking movie.

  • @thejoker100ify It was not a reboot. A reboot starts from scratch and keeps true to the original concept and characters. This did neither. It deliberately had Ambassador Spock from the future. All the characters were not even close to the ones in the movies/shows, even the ones un touched by the "change." PS.I did not call you a "stupid"/"rabid" but you’re acting that way. I never said you can't like it. I don’t like lame statements like "killer movie" or "Beyond" "what was expected". Grow up!

  • @Trekfreek

And why, may I ask, am I not allowed to use those descriptions?

Kinda funny how this whole thing got started just because I expressed my honest-to-god opinion on the film.

  • @thejoker100ify "Killer movie" makes it sound like it is about a murder & "Beyond what was expected" is almost the same as "it was a good film." It was not a good film; it was a film that you liked. I'm ab student of film, unlike Jar Jar Abrams, so I know what the definition of good film really is. There is only one movie that is tied with STXI for amount of things filmmakers should never do when making a film. That film is required viewing in film class, it is called "Plan 9 from Outer Space."

  • @Trekfreek there is no definition of a "good film" idiot.

  • @jwendeborn So your 46 years old and you love to play video games and go around calling people "idiot" for stating the truth. Good job. My education history is posted for the world to see, Where is yours? If I'm wrong please prove it. I'm willing to listen if you have proof and please leave the insults to yourself, there is enough hate going on in the world without making more.

  • @Trekfreek its an opinion. just like there is no so thing as truly bad music or bad paintings. its all art. im not 46. im 15 btw.

  • @jwendeborn Your still too young to understand that art, yes even music and paintings, can be truly bad. Taste dose not enter into it. Everything as a scale, a proper way of measuring on determining what makes something bad or good. You will learn this if you take enough art classes. PS. You're 15 and allowed to have dying mutilated frogs on your page? What kind of irresponsible parents do you have?

  • @Trekfreek dont fucking insult my parents u prick. what are you talking about frogs?

  • @jwendeborn Very clever. You removed the headless frogs video and then attack me, Smart kid.

  • @Trekfreek i commented on video. i dunno why its not there anymore

  • @jwendeborn Did you use bad language and or insults? Which video was it?

  • @Trekfreek what?

  • Comment removed

  • @Trekfreek This actually was a pretty damn good film, and to compare it to Plan 9 in any way is absurd. And you think that because you're in a film class that you're better than JJ Abrams? I'm pretty sure Abrams is a little more successful than you are...

  • @TheGuyThatsAwesome What made it a good film? Successful does not equal talented. Lots of people are successful and don't have a lick of talent. Success in Hollywood all depends on popularity not talent. If you doubt my talent then check out my Star Trek version of "What's Up Tigerlily?" It's called "Star Trek VII: The Unwanted Storie" (Yes it is Storie not Story). It will leave you in stitches if you have a sense of Humor.

  • @Trekfreek Wow, you're an arrogant one aren't you? No, I'm not going to watch your "talent". I honestly don't at all care about how great you think you are. Star Trek wasn't a good film, it was a great film. It had an interesting story, exciting action, incredible special effects, solid acting from the whole cast, and most of all was pure, nonstop entertainment. How you think it wasn't great is a better question.

  • @TheGuyThatsAwesome What made the story interesting? And since when was whispering in almost every scene good acting? "Nonstop entertainment" is a term also used to replace "mindless action", I read that term every time I read a review of "Godzilla vs. King Kong". It means less than nothing.

  • @TheGuyThatsAwesome Everyone is arrogant, it is how we use are abilities that defines us as the negative arrogant (Thinking that he/she knows everything) & good arrogance (intelligent & reasonable). The key difference is between someone who studies & someone who refuses to think out of their box for even a second. If you’re not willing to at least try my video to see if I'm really what I say I am, then that makes you the one projecting negative arrogance...

  • @Trekfreek The story is interesting because of the time travel aspect suggesting that the original characters and stories still happened. And since when did "entertainment" mean the same as "mindless action"? Theyre entirely different. Let's see, Forrest Gump is nonstop entertainment, so are you implying that you can also describe it with "mindless action" since it means the same thing? Also, learn the definition of "arrogance" and stop trying to force your video on people. Nobody gives a damn.

  • @TheGuyThatsAwesome 1st don't twist my words. If you want to discuss this keep it truthful. I said ""Nonstop entertainment" is a term also used to replace "mindless action". Using a term to define another does not mean that that term is being used correctly! 2nd "the time travel aspect"; Time travel is not the same as alternate universes. You change the past it remains changed (See Back to the Future 1). 3rd How did killing Kirk's Dad change the size of the ships before...

  • @Trekfreek I just went to you channel and saw that you're a James Bond fan. You're cooler than I thought. I'm not one to disagree or argue with a fellow Bond fan. How about we agree to disagree?

  • @TheGuyThatsAwesome Now that is a good idea. :-)

  • @Trekfreek AND you're a Sherlock Holmes novels fan? Awesome.

  • @TheGuyThatsAwesome ...Kirk's father was killed? How did that one event change the ages of Pike & Chekov, & changed Uhura's personality from a professional Starfleet lady to a slut who insults famers & sleeps with her teacher? How did it change Spock from a Vulcan who never engages in romantic relations with coworkers into a person who does not care about Starfleet codes of conduct? There are a dozen other problems with the whole time travel alternate time line BS.

  • @Trekfreek because the new star trek movie (2009) takes place in an alternate universe they entered, not the same universe that the original series took place in.

  • @SunshineStudios100 That is not what they said in the movie "Alternate TIME LINE" is what they said. That is a lot different than an alternate universe. It's like the First Back to the Future, you alter the past and the future is changed/ "erased from existence".

  • @Trekfreek maybe because one little thing can change oh so very much, the very presence of nero changes everything, and after vulcan is destroyed, it changed spock slightly.

  • @ThatguyHats So, Vulcan gets destroyed when Spock is 26 and it turns him into an emotional horny toad when he is 25? The mere presence of someone does not change things that happen in areas where that person is not. Time does not work that way not even in good fiction.

  • @Trekfreek if nero hadnt gone back in time and killed kurks father then kurk would have joined fleet as soon as he came of age. in which case kirk wouldv met spock sooner and kirks influential character would have led spock to become more intelectual to componsate for his best friend. as for pike and chekov i dont realy give a shit its called artistic liscense

  • @93neveron93 You are no fan. Original history Kirk's parents were killed on a colony when he was 13. Kirk did not meet Spock till he took Command of the Enterprise from a healthy Pike. Kirk did not meet McCoy till his ships Doctor was reassigned. Chekov did not come aboard the Enterprise until he was 21 (Kirk was 33) and did not become a Bridge officer till he was 22. It's not called artistic license, it's called not doing research!

  • @Trekfreek then with uhura being subject to kirk all the time she would try to guage herself to become more proffesional to avoind his appeal.

  • @93neveron93 The real Uhura was never "subject to Kirk" She was no slave!!! She was an officer assigned to serve on the Enterprise just like any man! She was professional from the start to the finish. The new Uhura was little more than a sex kitten, she would have slept with Kirk if she knew he was going to be her Captain.

  • @ThatguyHats So, the very presence of Nero changed the look of all the ships, changed Kirk's parents from colonists to Starfleet officers, changed all Vulcans into emotional hypocrites, and all Starfleet Admirals into spineless jellyfish who send all of their cades on potentially dangerous missions with little or no training and reward criminals who pick fights with their superior officers. That's amazing!!! Amazingly stupid!!!

  • @Trekfreek In time travel stories the smallest things can change history. Assuming this Pavel is indeed younger, maybe Mr and Mrs Chekov decided to have kids later, but were determined to name their son Pavel no matter what.

  • @TheWorstWarlock 1st off Pavil is older way older. 2nd, how would Nero's presents effect Chekov's parents in deciding when to have a baby? What, he sent out negative waves that scared them into having a baby? OR Maybe he spent the missing 20 years cursing around telling Russian couples to have children. I GOT IT! The Electrodes from his ship made every Russian horny for over 10,000,000 light years away from his ship. Face it IT'S A BAD MOVIE!

  • @Trekfreek I don't know how old all the characters were meant to be in the old show, but Nero's time-meddling still could have messed things up quite a bit. Everything affects everything else to some degree. We have no way of knowing exactly by how much.

  • @TheWorstWarlock "I don't know how old all the characters were..." that's because you are not a fan. Time alterations only effect those whom the time traveler makes contact with. You can't change things that you did not interact with. Ship designs don't magically change just because you look at a ship. People on the other side of the planet don’t have sex just because you killed your granddad & Hitler will not stop killing Jews just because you ate a peach.

  • @Trekfreek I'm not a crazy fan, but I've watched most episodes of each ST show, I even own a couple of the novels. As for your interaction theory, I'm sure it would have a lot more affect in a world where you can be teleported across the planet, then say in medieval times.

  • @TheWorstWarlock Are you telling me that after Nero's ship was damaged by the Kelvin he used his transporter to go around & force Russians to have sex? I suppose he used it like a time machine to make Captain Pike's parents to have sex 10 years earlier then they did because he wanted Pike & Chekov to be older. Is that what you are saying? It’s a BIG Galaxy, how did he know where to look? What would he gain by doing that? As Hercule Poirot would say... Use your little gray cells!

  • @Trekfreek butterfly effect

  • @xywv508 Look up Butterfly effect, it does not mean that everything changes including things that happen before you killed the butterfly and creatures not even on the same planet as the butterfly you killed. It's a bad term any way. If you went back in time and killed a butterfly only that butterfly's future family would be affected, it would not kill off your family or change all of history. Learn some quantum physics before you post again.

  • @Trekfreek ok but t you're taking this way to seriously

  • @xywv508 Maybe... Maybe you are not taking it seriously enough. It depends on your point of view, does it not?

  • @Trekfreek ok I agree

  • @Trekfreek she was always a slut bro, I wish Pike beeped more in the film though

  • @yellowpete79 Who Uhura? Uhura was never a slut before this crap feast of a movie. Re-watch the original series. Uhura used her feminine wilds just like any other healthy woman but she did not use them to get promoted or assigned to a ship. She never made out with an officer in public. She was very private about her personal life and she only left her post when she was forced to, ordered to or her shift was up. The real Uhura was a military lady.

  • @Trekfreek Maybe Newhura saw Uhura Prime through the Guardian of Forever and thought 'Daaamn, I aint going to be a spinster' hence the need to seek out new men and new life forms.

  • @yellowpete79 That's a trick considering the Gardian will not be discoverd for untill 10 years after this movie takes place.

  • @Trekfreek Ever hear of the butterfly effect?

  • @50Calabyte Don't try that. He tore into another guy who even suggested it.

  • @dgray51001 Ya, after I read some of his other comments I realized he is just a blind fanboy of the old series. Someone who can't accept change. Someone who comes on youtube and bashes anyone who says anything good about the movie. This movie was awesome. Great action and a cool story. It was a reboot that actually made sense. It had a reason why things changed. I liked that. If you didn't then oh well, don't watch it. But certainly don't come here and rain on others parade.

  • @50Calabyte No... Why don't you tell me about it? I'm an armature quantum physicist. I know more about time travel then the average Sci-Fi fanatic. The butterfly effect theory does not work as an explanation to this movies inaccurate plot points and science. It is also not a reboot or a prequel or a sequel it is all three smashed into one movie. It is full of plot holes, bad dialog, and over used plot devices with an ending that is totally unbelievable.

  • @50Calabyte The only way people would feel that I came "to rain on others parade" is if they refuse to admit that it is a bad movie that they like. If you ripped on Godzilla 2000 of Godzilla Final Wars I would not get even half of upset as you do when someone rips on Star Trek XI. Why? Simple, I know that they are bad movies that I enjoy watching. I don't rip on the Godzilla movies for fun. I watch them for what they are, fun fantasy movies. But they are bad movies.

  • @Trekfreek Bad is relative. You may think the movie is bad but others may not. And when you come on here and NON-FUCKNG STOP bash other people for saying they liked the movie, then you're being...what's the scientific word for it...oh, a royal dick.

  • @50Calabyte No need to get all bent out of shape just because you are ignorant about film & what 'good & bad' means in the art and entertainment world. Now you have read everything I wrote & I never once "bashed other people" for liking ST:XI & "a royal dick" is three words & none of them are scientific. PS I never called you "a royal dick" or any other name. You don't like my opinion of the film that’s your right but don't tread on my right to point out that it's a bad movie.

  • @Trekfreek lol, you call me bent out of shape when you're the one flaming a 1 minute video on youtube because they changed your precious Star Trek. "but don't tread on my right" Talk about a hypocrite, you "tread" on anybody who says they liked this movie. Look, I know you're a 40 year old neckbearded basement dweller who hasn't seen the light of day in 3 weeks and hasn't showered in 4, so I'll cut you some slack.

  • @50Calabyte I never attack anyone for liking the film only for saying that it is a good film. Watch the video again... Star Trek XI is not mentioned in any of them. Although one has a picture of the new Spock and Uhura. Making a video or videos about what makes good trek is not "flaming". Second I have no bearded, and I have not dwelled in a basement in over 35 years. Also, I work in an office so no I have not seen the light of day in 3 weeks and I bet I shower more than you do.

  • @Trekfreek lol again good is relative. You've got trolling down to a art.

  • @50Calabyte @50Calabyte Who is the one calling people "40 year old neckbearded basement dweller who hasn't seen the light of day in 3 weeks and hasn't showered in 4"????

    Who could it have been????

  • @50Calabyte Good is not relative in the art world. And it is you who is the troll. I'm just a guy who likes to have conversations with strangers and likes to help people realize that there is no need to be rude to people who disagree with you. Sometimes that involves being rude back at them and hope they can see that I'm only reflecting how they are acting to others.

  • @50Calabyte You see how I handled your hate remarks? I did not insult you directly, I corrected your miss giving’s about what you think a fanatic is and I pointed out your mistakes without stooping to your level. From my understanding of the word "flaming" in the content that you implied. it means to get angry and spew hate. But I did not do that. So I wonder… Who, in this conversation, has done that?

  • @50Calabyte Who is the REAL hypocrite???

  • @50Calabyte Who is the one trying to silence people???

  • @50Calabyte Who is the one insulting and trying to hurt people's feelings???

  • @Trekfreek ROFL omg dude you are too much. Seriously you're making me actually laugh out loud. But, then again, I don't expect much intelligence out of a conservative.

  • @50Calabyte Lets test that shall we? What would happen if you invested $1,000 in a low cap mutual fund and $1,000 a high cap mutual fund and then the market collapsed? Which fund would still have money and which one would loose the full $1,000?

  • @Trekfreek Better question: Is there really a giant man in the sky who created the world, watches everything, and chooses who lives and who dies? Sorry, that one is too easy. Obviously there isn't. I mean you must be one stupid fuck to believe in that.

  • @50Calabyte You obviously are to ignorant to even know what the word believe means. And you also could not answer a simple economics question that high school students must know now days. Only someone who is uneducated refuses to answer a simple question and then switches to religion.

  • @Trekfreek Oh noes you are now calling me ignorant and uneducated. Now who's name calling? Why would you attempt to insult me?

  • @50Calabyte Attempt? I thought I did A good job insulting you. Right after you insulted me not once but 9 times. Turn about is a bitch isn’t it?

  • @Trekfreek So now you are devolving into even more of a moron by using the 4th grade "HE STARTED IT" argument? ROFL!

  • @50Calabyte Oh cry me a river! If you can't take it then you should not have started it.

  • @Trekfreek LOL oh god your fucking funny. You really are a conservative twit ain't ya? YOU STARTED IT!! ROFL oh god....It must really eat you p inside to know they are making a sequel? Just don't go killing yourself over it. I mean, you wouldn't want to do us any favors right?

  • @50Calabyte Well I guess you win. After all no human can outwit a liberal after all they have parameciums for brains. Nothing is smarter than a paramecium. I mean with such intellectual levels of communications like "go killing yourself", "twit" and "stupid fuck" what chance does a person who can negotiate with different cultures, knows every known theory of Quantum mechanics, runs a business, and raises 10 kids to be responsible productive adults have against that?

  • @Trekfreek 10 kids!?!? HAHAHHAHA oh Jesus! No wonder your a grade A douchebag. You have to deal with 10 annoying little fuck heads. Fuck, haven't you or you cunt of a wife ever heard of a fucking condom? Oh, right, you love GOD and that would be an affront to the almighty imaginary friend right?

  • @50Calabyte There you go again assuming I was talking about only me. and cursing to beat the band. You know Star Trek is not just for you religious hate mongers. There are Jewish Trekkers, Catholic Trekkers, Lutheran Trekkers, Mormon Trekkers & many more hard core religious people who are Trekkers. Also for every atheist episode made Trek countered with an episode featuring a fictional or real religion. Good bye & May emptiness have mercy on your nothing. Does that sound right? No?

  • @Trekfreek Again I feel bad for you son. I got 99 problems but a god ain't one. I also love the fact that you bring up god related episodes and yet the majority of those episodes are about FALSE gods. Hell, Star Trek 5 was all about a false god. And then Kirk kicks faux-gods ass. Because Kirk=Awesome. Be it in the TOS or the new movies.

  • @50Calabyte God is not a problem. He is the solution. It is you who you should feel sorry for. Also the majority of episodes was not about fails gods. Star Trek V was about a creature mistaken for God by Sybock. The creature just went along with it to get off the planet. Even Kirk said "He's right here, the human heart." Don't you pay attention? You miss the points of thoes episodes and movies.

  • @50Calabyte ST 5 was all about Love & understanding. The original story (by Bill) called "An act of Love", had the crew meeting God & getting caught up in the never ending war between good & evil. It was rewritten to have a "fails god" because the writers felt that if the crew ever met God it would mean the end of their adventures. Which would mean TNG would be pointless. After all it's the search for God that is the point of exploration.

  • You have 99 problems? WOW! Do you know how many problems I have? I have 3 problems, Only 3. How is that possible? You may ask. Simple when I get a new problem I ask God for guidance & strength to solve the problem myself. I then tackle the problem knowing that God is guiding my actions to the best solution to the problem & the problem is gone. No fuss, no stress, & no more problem. People with faith are happier because we have someone to ease our burden, atheists have no one.

  • @Trekfreek Thank you, sir.

    *tips hat*

  • @Idazmi7 :-)

  • @Trekfreek I got 99 problems but a bitch aint one

  • @wafflesan1. So, You don't have a female dog to take care of. Who cares? Ummmm NO ONE!!!

  • @Trekfreek shutup or I won't bang you tonight

  • @wafflesan1 I thought you were into dogs. PS You are an ass hole!

  • @wafflesan1 This is how you read to those of us with a college education..."WETSDG SDN SEg xc xcGR xdGH sd Sd SDF FT ST DFt SDFth". Learn to speak like an adult.

  • @50Calabyte "All things are in slaved who serve evil!": Percy Bysshe Shelley (Used in Skin of Evil). "It's not the sun in the sky. It's the Son of God." Bread and Circuses". "Marry Christmas" Dagger of the Mind, Generations, Voyager (3 episodes). "Faith" ST 3, ST 6, TNG (several episodes) DS9 (Several Episodes), Voyager (several episodes) and Enterprise. For every anti-faith episode there are a dozen episodes in favor of faith...

  • @50Calabyte Sorry, I can't play with you anymore. I have to go study for my degree and you really should finish your fifth grade home work.

  • @50Calabyte Times up! If you can't answer it without looking it up then it is you who is not intelligent, at least when it comes to finance. Don't make broad statements that you can't back up!!!

  • @50Calabyte Who is the one calling people "40 year old neckbearded basement dweller who hasn't seen the light of day in 3 weeks and hasn't showered in 4"????

Who could it have been???? Hummmmmmmmm

  • @TheGuyThatsAwesome Even your YouTube handle stinks with negative arrogance... "The Guy That's Awesome"...Really, You could not think of anything that is more omnipotent sounding? You don't want me to talk about what made the movie bad you just want to pick a hate fight with me because I don't like movies with plots that make no sense, and actors who's idea of acting is whispering during action scenes and yelling during slow scenes.

  • @Trekfreek My "YouTube Handle", also called USERNAME, was a complete joke when I created it. Do you really think that I'm so full of myself and that I'm that self-centered? I'm not the one telling people to watch my videos because of how hilarious I am and that I'm better than JJ Abrams. There's a reason that JJ's making money for films and we're sitting here on the computer.

  • @thejoker100ify PS. Your "honest-to-god opinion" does not include insulting people who disagree with you! I suggest you take the "Miss Manners Class" you might learn something!

  • I didn't grow up with the original series so I don't find it that entertaining, but the latest movie was the SHIT!

  • @eah2119

    Amen!

  • @eah2119 It was shit all right! Shitty story, shitty plots, shitty acting, shitty camera usage, shitty dialog, Shitty science, and shitty ending. The only thing in this movie that kept me watching was hoping it was all just a bad Hologram recreation just like the series Enterprise. This is the worst movie I had ever seen and I took film in my University days.

  • @Trekfreek I'm afraid you're lost. Sure, the science was all bs, but so is practically all science fiction on TV. The star trek series was no better. You can't think of all the impossible situations the starship enterprise has run into? How can you call the science shitty? It wasn't an educational film. It was an entertaining film, in more ways than one.

  • @eah2119 Star Trek series and first 10 movies tried to keep within the boundaries of real science. Not once did they fly into a black hole, beam someone from and too a high warp ship, or drive a ship from the distance future without first reading a manual or examining it. Nor did their black holes magically disappear. It was Star Trek science that gave us the cellophanes, portable medical scanners, improvements on PCs and military movement scanners. Name at least 2 ways it was entertaining.

  • @eah2119 "It wasn't an educational film. It was an entertaining film" Star Trek is not just about entertaining you but also about making you think. Name your favorite episodes and tell me why you like them. Then compare those reasons to why you like this new movie. 2nd, Star Trek's science has been used to invent your cellophane, the portable medical scanner, the motion scanner for our military, and improve that desk top you are using. 3rd, name one episode where they flew into a black hole.

  • @Trekfreek This is not worth arguing over, because, I admit it, you're right. But the movie does bring back the same science fiction from the 60s and 70s. It gives interest to those youngsters in time travel, astronomy, and physics. Who knows, we might, one day, travel back in time, or discover warp travel. You have to admit it as well, there were SOME things in the series that didn't pertain to real science.

Basically, the latest movie was satisfactory to yesteryear's and today's standards.

  • Meh not memorable at all. Give me Alexander Courage or Jerry Goldsmith any day.

  • the first 10 seconds sound like oblivion or something

  • epic!

  • despite the movie and tv series not being very good, this song is still good. i wish this song was the original theme though.

  • @DrDK144 are you serious star trek probbaly oneof the best sci-fi series ever created thumbs up if you agree

  • @TheNedo1234 i do like the franchise, but i like the adaptations from ntg to enterprise, not the original series.

  • This is suck a epic piece of music and it fits start trek so well and by far is my Favorite..

  • Star trek the best SI-Fi movies and TV shows ever

  • If this were just a simple cue let alone the MAIN theme it would still be unimaginative, uninspiring, unmelodic bullshit...Michael Giachinno is an overrated hack!

I just wish I had the genius of Goldsmith,Williams and Morricone so I could show the current crop of Hollywood "composers" what a damn score is SUPPOSED to sound like.

  • You forgot to add the best part!!!

  • dude this is the best star trek theme ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh and star trek beats star wars any day

  • @kasdanasal in some ways

  • I used to hate star trek but the new one was better than any of the star wars movies.

  • I think this theme sounds to depressing.

  • @FishfilmInc It's a different and darker timeline than the original. And I like it.

  • @FishfilmInc You're depressing!

  • sexy horn rip

  • @Padrehorns When I saw this in theater I think everyone thought I was crazy because I started to cheer when I heard the horn play that lick. The gliss is superb!

  • @i4future I squealed when I heard the sensor chirp at the start

  • I saw this movie and the opening theme is in my view not to good the last Star Trek movie with the cast from TNG had a great theme this new Star Trek theme was terrible but the movie was OUTSTANDING I would see it again it was the best Star Trek movie out there to date

  • @Cena44 Good grief! Go take a grammar class! Learn what punctuation marks are for and learn to speak English.

  • why is the music for spock from this movie so hard to find on the internet??

  • Now the beginning of the remake of Star Trek, the music was excellent and the music through out but when it comes to the ending credits, I didn't care much for it. It actually gets in your head as that music that you wish it would stop playing in head if you hear it a couple of times.

  • Rad. This film is rad, and so it the theme.

  • Marked as EPIC!!

  • It really doesnt matter - the original served its purpose for its time and audience - hence here we are in the age of IPhones and 3D - - it really doesnt matter each version is unique for its time - I like this one - 30 years later -

  • Awesome how they went with the 7/4 beat intro. It's like... not even describable.

  • i only watched the movie for the theme.....its the SH*T

  • The gliss at the end makes all band geeks happy.

  • nothing special

  • just clearing things up, is the beginning instrument a french horn or trumpet, can't distinguish the two apart.

  • @haha23579 I think it might be a flugelhorn. Or a french horn.

  • @haha23579 its a french horn. Frenchs horns have a very mellow and beautiful sound while a trumpet has a bugel sound that is very obnoxious
