  • Sellier&Bellot ammo is great ammo,I bought a box of 50 ,140 grain ammo for my 357 sig.The ammo was very accurate, very clean, and not to bad on price.I always shoot gold got lawman jhp,I probaly will stick with these two from now on. speer and sellier.Great stuff.

  • S&B has always been my choice for 12-gauge buckshot, but I'm thinking this might be a nice low-cost alternative for stocking up on defensive ammo. Kinda surprised the jacket separated / came apart like that - looks almost like a +P loading. Is that because the Euro companies (like Fiocchi) all tend to load their ammo a bit hotter than US companies? ... something about NATO specs VS the SAAMI specs we use over here?

  • @darkwriter77 US ammo companies are litigation shy and tend to load below SAAMI specs to avoid suit.

  • @darkwriter77 Yes, S&B and other European manufacturers load the 9mm Parabellum according to the international C.I.P standard (similar to its original specs), whereas US manufacturers load it to the lower SAAMI standard. US ammo marked +P almost brings it back to original specs.

C.I.P and SAAMI use different ways of measuring pressure so it's hard to make an exact comparison, but max SAAMI pressure for the 9mm is 35000psi, max SAAMI +P pressure is 38500psi and max C.I.P pressure is 39200psi.

  • Did very well. It would defenitely be a great choice for anyone looking for some good defense ammo.

  • I always use Sellier ammo for my 9mm handguns.

  • excellent testing. it seems that the Sellier & Bellot ammo is good quality
