Buyers and owners please check for this defect: serious distortion in the sound recording for 640/480 resolution.
After the first minute, the normal sound is recorded simultaneously with previously recorded sound, than progressively the old erroneous part gets stronger and overrides the correct part. The sound remains severely out of sync and the last part does not get recorded.
Check my channel for a test.
I already had this on two cameras under warranty, so probably they are all like that.
@tomsawyerish Is there a reason you want to record in 640x480? But next to that, I seriously dislike the 2GB filesize limit. This hurts me a lot more. You do know there is a firmware revision on the Fujifilm site?
@Skinkie Also if I want to record myself playing my guitar, like millions other people do, 720p would be for when I'm sober, 480p should be good for an evening of takes and drinks without having to download in the computer. Except that each one of them would have severely distorted sound and be completely worthless. And that's not because of me being bad player, which I am, but because AV200 is a major screwup. Hope it helps.
@Skinkie I thought 720p for landscape vids, 480p for around the tent or gear vids and pictures should see me through a one week trip in the mountains with one card. So it should... actually I got distorted 480p junk after the first trip. It just doesn't do what it says in the specs and they wouldn't fix it.
So it was for me, as for the example of 2GB, was in the specs, you know upfront, so now at least it's not a surprise.

I haven't been on the Fujifilm website.
