  • Iv found an injured bird that was stuck under my car it has black grease all over it plzzz what do i do?????

  • @MrJayb262

Please excuse the late answer. I read it yet! If accidents happen please don't ask people in the world wide web ...go immediately to a vet! I hope the bird is fine?

  • For what is that wc paper?

    Btw beautiful set up :)

    Like!

  • @MrMultimedia1997

Of course well-behaved birds use toilet paper! Ha ha ... not at all, they only like to shred paper :-)))

  • @linnieworld

Haha ... im just kidding :D

  • Hi i have a parrotlet and i love your more natural set up! I'm getting a conure in march and would LOVE to do a natural set up for both birds! where did you find your twigs and branches/bridges? did you make them? or buy them somewhere? did you get branches from outside? and how do you treat them? thanks!

  • @HopeLilly16

Some branches I bought in a pet shop, some were found in our garden/neighbourhood. You can use twigs from oak-tree, hazel-tree, lime/linden-tree, willow-tree, fruit trees as apple, pear, cherry etc. Please clean them thoroughly! Good luck with the new bird! I love conures very much, they are wonderful birds!

  • What a beautiful set up. You obviously love your birds. I wish every captive bird could have a home like this!

  • Thanks for posting. I have two parakeets in a flight cage. I really like all the natural materials you used. I got some great ideas for my cage setup.

  • I love this! What a great video. I have a linnie and have been looking for ideas to set up a more natural habitat for him. I appreciate you posting this. I have to say, that I am sorry some people have to be so rude with their comments and can't simply appreciate your efforts and keep their negative comments to themselves. I guess they have nothing better to do. :)

  • @puglife2012

Thank you! You can steal all my ideas - they are for free ;-) I'm owned by Linnies about more than 15 years - they are wonderful little companions! I'm addicted to them! Don't worry about the negative comments because I'm against wing clipping. I daily enjoy to see that birds are able to become perfect aviators although they are kept in captivity. They only need a chance ...

Wish you all the luck and hope to see a video of your birdies soon!

  • IM tthinking about getting a parakeet :)

  • @charmlover0708

TWO parakeets are much more better than one :)))))) Double fun for you watching them playing, kissing and making nonsense!

  • @linnieworld I am! I forgot to add that :P

  • This is an amazing setup! I have 4 parrots and really struggle with how to set things up(I was born with no decorating genes..hahaha). So thank you so much for showing us how you did it. I can use your video and do the same in my cages. Thanks!!!

  • @nummysmom

Oh, I was curious about your parrots ... but you have no videos in your channel. Ha ha ... it seems that I was born with decorating genes ... at Christmas my birds got a "Villa rusticana XXL" ... to set up their new home was the biggest gift to ME. When I got the time to make a new video I will show the new aviary soon!

  • @linnieworld We have a blue-headed pionus, a lilac-crowned amazon, a Hahns Macaw, and a sun conure. I understand your 'gift' comment..;) And I hope to see your new video soon. Thanks.

  • @nummysmom

Oh! What a pretty coloured feather-collection ;-))) Are all your birds friends? Do they like each other? Do they live together in one aviary? So many questions ... as you see, you quickly have to make some videos to show your sweethearts to me ;-)

  • That is a Awesome Cage Set up. I will Make sure mine is like that, Natural Materials is much better i think.

  • Oh fine don't answer me :(

  • @xxfrikinxepicxx

TODAY I answered! Yes, I answered!

    Have a nice sunday!

    Monika

  • Awesome!!!!

  • That looks like great fun! My cage is similar though I'm a bit nervous about using natural wood, I read some woods can be poisonous to budgies(I have three budgies) D:

  • @LimitNine

You can use natural branches from oak-tree, hazel, lime/linden-tree, willow-tree, fruit trees as apple, pear, cherry etc.

Please clean the branches thoroughly before you arrange them in the cage. Good luck!

  • It really looks great. The best part is the door is open!

  • HEY what was that circle white thin on you're cage please help !!!!!! And can they choke on cork I have parakeets and I want to build same thing as this and what type of grass should I put in ?

  • @xxfrikinxepicxx

Please excuse my late answer. I overread your comment. I used following plants: Golliwoog (Callisia repens) and "cat grass" (Cyperus zumula). All parakeets love to gnaw and nibble. I've never heard from a bird that chokes on cork. But that's no guarantee! The white circle is a ring made of cotton, it's very comfortable for their little feets. Any more questions :-))) ? See you!

  • Could you list the products used in the cage? :o

  • What an inspiration you are :)

  • why the hell do you have toilet paper in there!?

  • @SHADOWFREAK33 most hookbills LOVE to shred paper--any paper. many owners use the rolls of paper for adding machines but toilet paper is much cheaper.

  • why the hell do you have toilet paper in there?!

  • @SHADOWFREAK33

Ha ha ... this was a joke! Many parrots love to shred paper and the paper roll of my calculating machine looks like a little roll of toilet paper :-)))

  • What a lovely little piece of birdie heaven, I can tell you love them very much :-)

  • Love it =)

  • FABULOUS Monika! My birds (two lovebirds and a quaker parrot) spend the day outside of their cages and have a play gym that I made following the same philosophy as yours. We have a lot of beautiful twisty Arbutus trees on our acreage that I use as well as wooden bridges and home made toys. We use shredded paper from our paper shredder for the bedding:0) Thanks so much as you have given me some great new ideas!!!!

    Felix-Marie

  • very nice cage but you should take some perches out , there's too many

  • @arkeljankushova

Thanks! Pls read the description! There are so many perches inside because my eldest bird suffered from arthritis. To climb and walk was much more comfortable for him than flying and landing. The other birds enjoyed it too. Otherwise the behavior of Linnies is much more calm than budgies :-)))

Many green greetings to your sweeties Polly and Nikki :-)

  • @linnieworld thank you for your greetings (sadly my budgie Polly died a few months ago :'( and she was just a 2month old baby, but i bought another budgie, Aphrodite to stay with Nikki because he was getting so lonely and now they are happy together :)) hope they'll breed ) :))))))

  • nice cage but maybe you shouldnt put how to build if your not showing how to build it

  • @SHADOWFREAK33

Hi :-) Pls excuse if "build" is not the correct word. English is not my mother language, I'm German. My dictionary said "to build" is the right vocabulary for: einrichten, errichten, bauen, aufstellen etc., therefore I did use it. Which title would you prefer?

  • @linnieworld its not actually building it unless you show us how to make the actual cage this is showing your cages setup

  • @SHADOWFREAK33

Thank you! I changed the title :-)

  • how do u clean it

  • @graceshelley00

    Good question *g*

Each morning I collect their birdie bums from the ground. Once a week I clean the perches and remove the wooden shavings. There is a lot to do, but my birdies are worthy :-)))

    Kind regards, Monika

  • Wow completely adorable. where did yI love it. I am starting this week on my cockatiel cage. Except ith hubby help, since we are building out of wood, and removable trays. Also where can i get the shavings you have? Petsmart carry's crappy shaving here were I live.

  • @lagredano1974

Please send my a video response when you've finished! I'm very interested in new ideas!

PS. I got the shavings from the German pet store "Ricos Futterkiste", they deliver 15 kg upto the 3th floor :-)))

    Green greetings, Monika

  • that is actually such a beast cage. mine looks like a blank piece of paper compared to your cage.

  • @TheTaeminator

Thanks :-)) You are allowed to steal all my ideas! They are for free!

    Good luck, Monika

  • verry good cage

  • Hi! Thank you for sharing it, You made a wonderful bird cage to your birds, I enjoyed watching it and must be joyful to your birds! Is it possible to tell please, what brand is the bird cage?

  • @beacaom77

Hi to Hungary! Great, that you are interested in my cage decoration. The cage itself is a W&K-product (Wagner's) bought in 2003. It is a pity, that this model it isn't available anymore. The dimensions are perfect for a couple of little parrots. I wish I could buy another one, because a few month ago I adopted another two handicapped Linnies ... their cage is a little bit smaller, but it works. One of them is blind ... perhaps he feels lost in a large bird cage ^^

  • @linnieworld

Thank you for your help! In my country it would not be available..I will look for something similarly built in parameters, I mean especially the grid lines are horizontal, not vertical, which I prefer to place my birds in. I am plannig to buy linnie parakeets in spring hopefully and I want to make sure that I can make a good place for them.

  • @beacaom77

I'm sure YOU will succeed! A good bird owner makes sure that the birds get a good place BEFORE he invites little angels in his life :-)

PS: Your channel is still a little "naked". Much place for more Linnies which are the cutest birds all over the world! Can't wait to make the first comment!

  • look yeah i didnt mean to be disrespectfull or anything and im really sorry for your birdie loss i too have had my budgies die but i just wanted to know why they had so much stuff in there . sorry ):

  • @TheMoh51n

Don't worry. Everybody has the right to tell about his thoughts, feelings and opinion. You did it in a funny way! So everything is alright :-))))) In Germany now its bedtime. Pls take a look to my newest vid "Linnie Lullaby" and have sweet dreams with sleepy Charlie ...

  • Is the toilet paper there so that they can wipe their birdie bums?

  • @confettistar

Ha ha ... that's what I'm dreaming of!

  • Hey very nice cage ! I will try to do the same with my cockatiel ! Tell me, did you bought everything or did you made it ? It's very nice!!!

  • @paorob

Glad that you like it :-)

I bought the cage and mostly of the decoration ... and had the ideas for a animal-fairly decoration. The natural branches were made by my talented husband. Will you show me your cage if you finished? I'm very interested!

  • @linnieworld What kind of cat grass are you using, It looks nicer than what we have here in the USA. Ours looks like lawn grass. Is there another name for it? Thank you for all of the great ideas. And my little cockateil Prissy thank you too.

  • hey firstly i dont like you hilly billy music and second your cage has to many things in it.

  • @TheMoh51n

Oh ... what a pity. I choosed hilly billy music for hilly billy birds *gg*

PS: The cage was decorated in this way for my eldest bird who suffered from arthritis. The other birds enjoyed the decoration, therefore I didn't change anything after his death. My birds are allowed to fly for some hours a day so that they miss nothing :-)

  • @Xristosliberta

Please excuse ... I didn't understand your question.

  • charming

  • I'm just wondering, i might be getting a parakeet soon, and i want it to have a wide and tall comfortable cage. I can't afford a really big one, so i want to build my own, not just the decoration, the whole thing. Could someone tell me how to build one? I like building more then saving money anyway :)

  • @adriwolf20021

Please take a look to my other vid "How to build a comfortable AVIARY for small parrots".

    I hope it helps :-)

  • Wow! Looks awesome. I am hoping to get 2 parakeets soon and I want to know what types of natural branches of trees outside are safe. Can someone tell me?

  • @GratifyStupify

Hi ... pls excuse my late answer: You can use natural branches from oak-tree, hazel, lime/linden-tree, willow-tree, fruit trees as apple, pear, cherry etc.

Please clean the branches thoroughly before you arrange them in the cage/aviary. Good luck!

  • Wow, that is amazing! Your birds live in paradise. Thanks for the wonderful ideas. I'm looking into getting a bird this weekend at a bird fare in my area. I'll be sure to follow in your footsteps. I had no idea that cat grass would be good for birds. Awesome!

  • I just love your cage so much :)

  • that is insanely amazing your birdies look very happy :)

  • @Graphix567

Yes indeed ... they are very happy together. But sometimes Big Charlie loves Little Sammy too much ... therefore Little Sammy has bad-hair-day for a few weeks *gg*

  • Can you tell me how much did you spent on your Villa Rustica(na)? Including the cage :)

    Thank you.

  • @b1zbi

Hi! Thanks for your interest! The cage costs about 130 EUR, the wooden decoration was much more cheaper, because we found many things in the nature. The cups were about 3-5 EUR, the houses for sleeping were about 5 EUR, the ropes and the ring about 5-10 EUR ...

I supplemented the cage decoration gradually, therefor it was not so expensive at once ...

Are you planning something like that? I hope I could inspire :-)

  • @linnieworld I'am thinking about making one like the one you made in the video "How to build a comfortable inside aviary for small parrots" and decorate it as you did, with ropes, a lot of toys, maybe a house and in the future add a nest if I get a female to my nanday conure. He is 8 months old and he's with me for about 4 months.

  • What kind of plants do yo have in the cage? DO the birds actually eat them or are they just for looks?

  • @jinxdemon13

The plant inside the cage is a Golliwoog (Callisia repens), the plant on the top is a so called "cat grass" (Cyperus zumula), my little bald-headed Linnie smells at a Basilikum (Ocimum basilicum). Lineolated Parakeets are very funny birds. Some times they eat it, sometimes they eat it not. Sometimes they destroy it in a few minutes (!) and sometimes they adore it just for decoration.

  • What type of shop did you get the 'catgrass' from and i really like your bird cage. Sorry for calling it a cage

  • @TheJeffhardy1997

Hi again! In Germany we have many Pet Shops and Garden Shops which sell Cat Grass and Golliwoog. I do not know if you get it in Australia. Maybe you could enquire for "Cyperus zumula"?

You said cage? Oh ... don't worry. It is a cage ;-)))))

  • Is it like a mansion

  • @TheJeffhardy1997

Thank you so much! I want all the best for my birdies! They are my dearest friends and they earn a comfortable home. Every bird holder is invited to steal my ideas ... they are for free :-))))

Ha ha.. I forgot ... the toilet paper is only a joke *gg*

I wished, they would use it, but they laughed at me ... ha ha ...

  • @linnieworld I gave you thumbs up :D

  • @TheJeffhardy1997

    Thank you so much :-)

Hope the thumb down was made by an error *lol*

  • Comment removed

  • Do your birds like that toilet paper? and really awesome cage. What type of birds r they

  • @TheJeffhardy1997

The birds are "Lineolated Parakeets", they are very special little parakeets. Their social behavior is adorable.

Sammy, the smaller bird (who smells Basilikum) is now ten years old. He always has "bad hair day" because his partner Charlie is to busy with the plumage care. Please take a look at my german Channel "Kathiparadies", there you will find more than 80 videos of my Linnies. They are so cute :-)))

  • why do you have the toilet paper?

  • @halo3productions1000

    Aaaaah ... I was waiting for this question .... ha ha ... it's only a joke :-)

My birdies like to destroy paper ... in the vid the paper roll looks a little bit like toilet paper *gg*

  • Thats the coolest cage i've ever seen, and the Camera work is Great as well, it looks as though the video camera is floating in the air

  • @9334joshua

Thanx! That's the coolest compliment I've ever got!

  • Is beautiful!!! How do you manage to keep it clean with so many things inside? you need to take everything out? or just have another solution?

  • @cerculuna

Thanx! Yes indeed, there's much to do but I do this for the comfort of my birds. The cups are cleaned daily. Each morning I collect rest of fruits and the "output" of my birdies from the bottom. The cork is "cleaned" through the birds by gnawing and nibbling. In a turnus of 14 days I take everything out for a thoroughly cleaning.

Please excuse, my English is not perfect^^

  • I love this. The birds deserve to be in an environment as close to their natural habitat.

  • @chikabirdy

I feel the same. If we invite this beautiful species to live with us it is our duty to give the best!

  • it is fantastic

  • @dhmhtrhs492

Hello to Greece! Glad you like it :-))))

  • Did you build the cage, or just decorate the inside?

  • @Amithrius

I bought the cage and decorated the inside :-)))) Excuse me, if I did not found the right words, English is not my mother language.

  • @linnieworld Great job though. I especially like the woodwork

  • If i ever get a budgie I am totally doing this I was wondering if you could just get wood from outside and clean it off to use as perches because itas hard to find diffrent perches

  • @DaxonizAmazin

Hi - better get TWO budgies :-)))))

Because of the perches ... Many pet stores in Germany offer different wooden perches. But I have the luck to live near a little forest and to have a husband who is very talented!

  • @linnieworld I was planning on getting one then taming it then getting another because I think since I have never owned a bird before I think it would be better for me and the bird. But ya i want your opinion on that like if you think that is a good idea or not. Ya i will definatly get two budgies definatly and i would never EVER clip their wings I think of that as animal abuse and I want my bird to fly around my room I think it would be sooo cool. I am planning on getting budgies in august.

  • @DaxonizAmazin

Hi! I heard about the method first getting one budgie, then taming it, and then getting a partner bird. My heart speaks always for the birds. I think it is better for the birds to choose the right partner by themselves. Take a couple, who is fallen in love. Perhaps taming takes a little bit more time, but your birds would be happy to have you as a patiently bird mum! (I am very glad, that you dislike wing clipping. You are a good girl!)

  • @linnieworld BTW your birds look really happy, relaxed, comfortable, and stress free. The reason I am getting one in August is that it is when my birthday is and I cant get a pet unless it is for my birthday.

  • @DaxonizAmazin

Thanx! They are indeed really happy and they make nonsense the whole day! I can't wait to see YOUR birdies on YouTube :-)))))

  • This is amazing! What kind of plant do you have in there? And do you know if it would be safe to put into my parakeet's cage?

  • @lostgirlsss

Hi - thanks for your question and favor my vid!!! The plant inside the cage is a Golliwoog (Callisia repens), the plant on the top is a so called "cat grass" (Cyperus zumula), my little bald-head Linnie smells at a Basilikum (Ocimum basilicum). All plants are safe and healthy! My birdies like them very much. Sometimes too much ... they "kill" them softly ... ha ha ... and I have to replace them after a few hours *ooops*

  • This is glorious!!! How big is your cage? I would really like to steal all of your ideas for the bird I'll be getting.

  • @OriginalCopyCat1874

Thank a lot for your comment! All my ideas are free! Take them! Use them!

The cage is about 100 cm x 80 cm x 60 cm - it is big enough for a pair of little parakeets/parrots upto 16-18 cm (Lineolated Parakeets, Budgies or Lovebirds).

  • @linnieworld Thanks so much, you're the best!

  • So......how about cleaning up when the cage calls for it? :P

  • @BestfanX

Ha ha ... yes indeed, there's much to do :P but I like it ...

In Germany my species is called "Putzteufel" :-))) what means that I am a "maniac for housework"

  • What kind of wood do you use on the bottom of the cage?

  • @rosyshalice

Hi :-) In Germany we call it "Buchenholzgranulat", I hope the correct translation is "beech wood granulates". My birds love to play and dig on the ground, therefore it is important to use dust free materials.
