As a long time investor of this company, I can tell you Valcent is a scam. The only reason for these videos is to dupe people into buying stock. My original investment of $10,000 is worth less than $300 today. Don't buy their Bullsh't
@Kettle17 It is most unfortunate that you have lost money with a promising new technology.
I hope that does not dim your perspective of the possibility of creating a usable fuel from alga. The time is rapidly approaching when the US will absolutely NEED an alternate source of fuel and this has the most promise of anything I have looked at. Hang on to your investment, I am certain it will come back in time.
@Kettle17 I suspect the major problem with the loss of value is the reluctance of other investors to join in. Surely OPEC has a vested interest in seeing this system fails, never makes it to market.
Something I'm positive of is that the President can't know that the use of hydrogen by electrolysis has recently been perfected to conclusively produce completely thorough internal combustion engine performance in avarage gasoline and diesel engines using platinized titanium-based hydrogen generators, easily retrofitted to any vehicle with such type of engine. This is the way to turn heads at the Copenhagen summit, with hard science and proven testing by NASA back in the early Seventies.
really this is a great idea, since it can be cultivated in greenhouses in the desert, but there's not a "one source fix all" alternative, we need to moderate between ideas, like hydrogen, biofuel & especially "non polluting" electric..
i think the only reason the government is not supporting this is because the oil companies like exxon have the government paid off through lobbyiest (may be spelled wrong) allowing them to control the market and have a very low tax and have no limit to what prices they can have. in short, a trust
Marijuana can be used for over 12,000 products...rope, cloth, paper, medicines, etc...thus the power brokers won't ever allow it to be legalized...it's to cheap to produce and process...
It is a crime indeed. But we are not talking about biodiesel originating from cereals here. It's a small algea, hardly a food product for any population I know of. It's not even the same algea used to make sushis :)
Actually this has been investigated since the 70s. They used less effective techniques back then and gas was like a buck a gallon. What do you say Aussies, let's you and America get this thing rolling. It'll take strong independent countries like we both live in to do it.
We need this like yesterday. Let's eliminate diesel it's the devil & a source of Cancer.

This culture here in the Ceara state is viable as high solar energy and temperature, not utilization of greenhouses.

whats the ratio of energy used to the amount of biodiesel produced.
funkyfox63 2 years ago
Very efficient from what I learned. Because the only water and CO2 lost goes into the actual bodies of each algae cells.

Anything is better than food-based fuel.

I would rather put it in my bong....if you catch my drift !
getting high at the pump, sounds good to me....
((( SOLD )))
blacklotus808 3 years ago
nice thought...lol, but no by the time it made to the pump it'd smell like fuel...no high...:))...sorry
jdawgsworld 3 years ago

You're funny.
But as it turns out, Marijuana is a source for some chemicals that kill drug resistant bacteria.
Which may mean it will start showing up in hand soap. No jokes about bongs with soap bubbles now, I thought of it first.

what i'm finding amazing is that this was shown on USA tvs and then uploaded to youtube 3 months ago.
But i saw this exact same segment on Australian news only a few days ago: in what i assumed was "current news".
WTF Australian TV, 3 month old news is not current.

Lol, no country on earth is "Independent". We all trade, import and export.
Yes, Australian TV is way behind, SBS is showing series 10 of Top Gear, while BBC will show series 11 in 2 weeks!

CHAS1422 3 years ago
Absolutely. And that's just one of their efforts. The other is growing crops vertically with minimal water yet maximum ouput.
