I tried to translate the song "To tango tis Nefelis" that is "Nefeli's tango". Nefeli in Greek is a name and also means "cloud". Two little angels came and stole the golden rag Nefeli used to wear on her head, so as to differ from all in the vineyard. Two little angels who wanted Nefeli in their dreams to feed her pomegranate and honey, so that she won't remember, so that she forgets what she wants, they seduced her.
@bgtzxp9k i don't know if anyone's translated them to you yet but in any case:
The golden piece of cloth that Nepheli wore in her hair was seen by two little angels and they stole it. Two little angels, who wanted Nepheli in their dreams to feed her pomegranate and honey,so that she can't remember and forget what she wants, seduced* her.
Hyacinths and lilies stole her perfume and are wearing it, and loves** throwing throwing arrows are making fun of her. But, good Zeus takes the water of adolescence from her, makes her a cloud and spreads her, for the angels not to find her.
*there isn't an exact translation for this in english. This was the closest i could come up with.
**''loves'' here are the little winged babies with the bows and arrows from greek mythology. I hope you'll find this sufficient.
the song is absolutely beautiful The video is great too. The dancers add more emotion to it, the coordination of the dancers could have been better. It is still wonderful so 5/5!!!
This cover is by Greek singer, Haris Alexiou, entitled, "To Tango Tis Nefelis." In 1996, she wrote the lyrics for "Nefeli's Tango" on Celtic musician Loreena McKennitt's music. The music by Loreena McKennitt is on her album "The Visit." It's called "Tango to Evora." Perhaps an homage to Césaria Évora. According to Loreena McKennitt's liner notes, "This was originally conceived for the National Film Board of Canada documentary "The Burning Times", directed by Donna Reid."

PlatisYialos 2 years ago

Jacinths and lilies
stole the fragrance from her and wear it
and love gods, throwing arrows, laugh at her.
But the kind Zeus
takes the adolescence water away from her,
turns her into a cloud and disperses her,
so that they don't find her.
