  • Cant it play live???

  • FUCK YES!

  • siiick

  • do you know if its possible to lay a sample on a pad via midi to the pc? because i have windwos vista and the driver doesn't work.. so i had to connect the mpd via midi. But i don't know how to config the pads...

  • Can sb explain how to use the mpd 16 with Windows Vista or how to connect it with a laptop ( Hp pavillon dv7)

  • Awww goood. I loved your video so much i just bought a second hand mpd18. But the pads are so hard I have to drop an anvil on them to get a sound. Is that normal? i seriously can't play it for more than a minute before feeling that my hands are going to disintegrate...

Can I do something about it? was i just ripped off? Would you normally just use it for samples (I really also want it for the drums)? Are you busting your fingers doing what your doing? So many queshtionsss...

    Thank yoU!

  • niiiiice pad skills!

  • nice =)

  • hey i have akai mpd 24

  • Can we use that on Fruity loop 8 ???

  • can i do that same on my mpk??

  • in beginning that wave sound with bells did you do that on the mpd16 ? before you starterd pressing buttons?

  • Well the first sample that I triggered was looped in battery, I looped it so then I could do the little drum break in the middle.

  • mpd 16 ?

  • @barnygumblee yup (:

  • well played ;]

  • Real Cool I could imagine this song in a cartoon like Afro Samurai or something.

  • nice

    nice drums

in a few days i will geht my mpd 15 too :)

  • Congrat;)

  • NICE

  • thats sick dog thanks for not talking at the beginning of the vid like all other assholes...were here to listen to the beat so thats wassup! keep it up

  • Well, I never saw anyone without sampling Funk in Brazil. great melody, beat perfect congratulations my brother.

In Brazil we use MPC or MPD nois Pra rhythms more agitated, as Funk and Hip Hop.

    (I used Google translator) Laughter!

  • whats battery and where do i get it

  • what proagram

  • Srry, u are using battery, aren't you? Hou u get the "fast arpeggio" when u hold the pad pressed?(at 1:04)

  • well in battery you just siet it to loop when you hold the pad down and you set the start and stop ponts close together

  • i was thinking about buying the mpd24 but this mpd 16 is told to be the same as the mpd 24. The only difference is that the rubber texture of the pad is better on the 24 than on the 16

  • hey man im selling an MPD 16 and some other stuff too, if your interested check my video for more info, this is not a joke, im being serious here

  • wat software is that ?

  • not bad not bad

  • i maybe can beatbox this

  • where i can download sounds

  • i maybe buy this

  • is this akai mpd 16

  • cool stuff

  • wooohuu

  • brother please tell you that u have constructed a full song out of this

  • aaa its wery COOL!!!

  • Nice....

  • cool

  • is this good

  • do you mind telling what software you used?

  • Native Instruments Battery

  • wiked :-)

  • whats the difference between this and a MPC??????

  • A MPC can actually be used to sample with. It has a hard drive and audio inputs. It is pretty much computer that you use for sampling. A MPD is just c midi controller. Like a game controller would be for a video game console

  • but they can produce similar sounds?

  • that is a stupid question man

mpd is a midi and a midi is using sounds from the computer.

  • LOL!!!

    Matija10's comment

  • :):) :)

  • i dont a lot about these things, but im interested in getting one, do the soun samples come with the pad, or does it depend on what sofware you use? would it be any good for DnB samples, or beats or what. could someone just explain the capabilaties of these for me please??

  • what is that hindu/arabic sounding instrument?

  • I believe that it is a sitar.

  • im actually getting the mpd16 today for $60... damn ur pretty fast with dem hands

  • your fuckin fast

  • very nice i like the samples you used... go together pretty good

  • nice nails and cool beat

  • Great work!

Mayby you can share this sample (this harp, mayby not harp, i dont now what is this but this is beautiful sound.

  • question: can you program your own sounds or do you have to use whats on it?

  • Well it depends on what software you use it with. In Battery the program i used in this video, those are all my sounds.

  • Love the guitar portion. Sounds like some 60s hallucination dream sequence.

  • intro sounds slightly like 'Hustlin' by Rick ross

  • do u have it verticlly or is it the angle...

  • No it was just the camera angle. It would be kinda cool to mount it on the wall though.

  • Ohh shit, ur nice kid

  • ok im thinking of buying a midi controller, but idk if i should get this, or the M-Audio Trigger Finger to use with fl studio, does anybody have any suggestions?

  • anything works good, i got a padkontrol and it has alot more options for 200 bucks. but whatever u like man, look up mpd24, trigger finger, padkontrol.

  • the mpd16 is cheaper than 200, its like 100, cuz in UK money its about £65

  • yah but mrbucket asked for any other midi controllers other than the mpd16 so i named other ones that are higher than 100 bucks.

  • ah ok, my bad

  • wich program do you use??

Where do you get samples from?

    thnx... ps nice work

  • Software is NI Battery and I Sample from Records. Thanks for watching

  • maybe a stupid question but, can i use magix music maker hip hop edition 1 to load samples on mpd?

  • i'm not sure. you should be able to use a midi controller with it. But I don't know

  • haha i am using Magix too!!!! but only to chop things up. I think you would get sued for using their samples properlly man!, but yeah i assume you could load them into a program like FL studio and use em

  • can i load samples on the mpd16? i thought mpd16 is only a drum controler can i load samples on the pads?

  • Well yeah its just a midi controller so you have to have software to us it with. It actually doesn't even come with any.

  • love this routine, i dont know what program you are using, but how do you get the sounds to repeat fast when you hold the pads down.

    great stuff

  • I used NI battery. To get that sound I just looped the sample close together. Battery is a really cool program Thanks for your feed back

  • Its a good function that looping. There was a kit out from Concord Dawn that had a lot of open hats that looped like that. Works well.

  • is battery freeware or is it a job for limewire

  • nah its not freeware

  • where did you get the helmet cam?

  • well i was able to attach a 8mm analog camera to a old batting helmet using some epoxy.

  • I like it. Good work

  • great work, where do you get the samples from?

  • From records. The samples I used in this video came from a greek island folk song record.

  • cool

  • like the glich stuff thats what i want to do that was like a I'LL SHOOT YO FACE OFF JOINT. ELBO TO THE NECK UUNNNGGHHH

  • sweet!! i jus picked up a mpd24... my hand cordnation isnt as fast as yours yet but imma be practicing =D

  • Nice Nice! i always suffer latency issues with MPD and Battery :(

  • nice job, man

  • are you working in live? I suppose you were using some sort of "beat repeat" function with the top left pads at the end there...?

  • well I was using NI Battery. At the end yes i looped the samples so when i held down the pad it would have that sound.

  • great samples and great beat! nice job dude

  • You rock!!!!!!!!!!

  • Pretty cool! :)
