do you know if its possible to lay a sample on a pad via midi to the pc? because i have windwos vista and the driver doesn't work.. so i had to connect the mpd via midi. But i don't know how to config the pads...
Awww goood. I loved your video so much i just bought a second hand mpd18. But the pads are so hard I have to drop an anvil on them to get a sound. Is that normal? i seriously can't play it for more than a minute before feeling that my hands are going to disintegrate...
Can I do something about it? was i just ripped off? Would you normally just use it for samples (I really also want it for the drums)? Are you busting your fingers doing what your doing? So many queshtionsss...
thats sick dog thanks for not talking at the beginning of the vid like all other assholes...were here to listen to the beat so thats wassup! keep it up
i was thinking about buying the mpd24 but this mpd 16 is told to be the same as the mpd 24. The only difference is that the rubber texture of the pad is better on the 24 than on the 16
A MPC can actually be used to sample with. It has a hard drive and audio inputs. It is pretty much computer that you use for sampling. A MPD is just c midi controller. Like a game controller would be for a video game console
i dont a lot about these things, but im interested in getting one, do the soun samples come with the pad, or does it depend on what sofware you use? would it be any good for DnB samples, or beats or what. could someone just explain the capabilaties of these for me please??
ok im thinking of buying a midi controller, but idk if i should get this, or the M-Audio Trigger Finger to use with fl studio, does anybody have any suggestions?
anything works good, i got a padkontrol and it has alot more options for 200 bucks. but whatever u like man, look up mpd24, trigger finger, padkontrol.
haha i am using Magix too!!!! but only to chop things up. I think you would get sued for using their samples properlly man!, but yeah i assume you could load them into a program like FL studio and use em
Cant it play live???

Well, I never saw anyone without sampling Funk in Brazil. great melody, beat perfect congratulations my brother.
In Brazil we use MPC or MPD nois Pra rhythms more agitated, as Funk and Hip Hop.

that is a stupid question man
mpd is a midi and a midi is using sounds from the computer.

question: can you program your own sounds or do you have to use whats on it?
333poison07 4 years ago
Well it depends on what software you use it with. In Battery the program i used in this video, those are all my sounds.
DJCMOS 4 years ago
Love the guitar portion. Sounds like some 60s hallucination dream sequence.

Brotha633 4 years ago
the mpd16 is cheaper than 200, its like 100, cuz in UK money its about £65
DjWightboy 4 years ago
yah but mrbucket asked for any other midi controllers other than the mpd16 so i named other ones that are higher than 100 bucks.
Brotha633 4 years ago
ah ok, my bad

DJCMOS 4 years ago
maybe a stupid question but, can i use magix music maker hip hop edition 1 to load samples on mpd?
btbtgtgt 4 years ago
i'm not sure. you should be able to use a midi controller with it. But I don't know
DJCMOS 4 years ago
haha i am using Magix too!!!! but only to chop things up. I think you would get sued for using their samples properlly man!, but yeah i assume you could load them into a program like FL studio and use em
DjWightboy 4 years ago
can i load samples on the mpd16? i thought mpd16 is only a drum controler can i load samples on the pads?
btbtgtgt 4 years ago
Well yeah its just a midi controller so you have to have software to us it with. It actually doesn't even come with any.
DJCMOS 4 years ago
love this routine, i dont know what program you are using, but how do you get the sounds to repeat fast when you hold the pads down.
great stuff
ooShortKutoo 4 years ago
I used NI battery. To get that sound I just looped the sample close together. Battery is a really cool program Thanks for your feed back
DJCMOS 4 years ago
Its a good function that looping. There was a kit out from Concord Dawn that had a lot of open hats that looped like that. Works well.
Seguesound 4 years ago
is battery freeware or is it a job for limewire

nah its not freeware
