The British were running out of supplies and also losing in North Africa to the Afrka Korps. Thankfully Roosevelt found a way around the Neutrality Acts and "lended" much needed supplies Britain. Without the U.S. Britain would have lost.

Be it in the form of the 1st cav, the Leichte divisions, or simply the fact that *every* division used horse-drawn transport for hvy. weapons, artillery, ration/baggage trains. However, historians don't agree it was "Blitzekrieg." People like Mathew Cooper, John Ellis, Steven Zaloga, etc all agree it was traditional "Vernichtungsgedanke" rather than "Blitzkrieg" as seen in the French campaign and Barbarossa.

@Jakub2610 - You're correct to an extent, but the German's only had a handful of actual cavalry divisions. The 1. Kavallerie Division was the only Wermacht unit I can think of and it was turned into 24th Panzer Div. (This isn't inc. the SS Kav Divs however.) They did use horses on a massive scale. Mainly for supply trains and artillery "tractors."

The video is garbage because in September 1939, German armor was painted with white, not black, crosses. The armor portrayed here is Panzer Mk. III whereas, during the Polish campaign, most German armor was of the Mk. I & Mk. II type. This film is more likely from the Battle of France. Believe it, or not, Polish tanks in the Polish campaign were superior to German equipment. The problem was that they were too few in number.

Actually, the Battle of Kock concluded on 5 October 1939. Poland, however, never surrendered & the first guerrilla warfare was conducted by Major Henryk Dobrzanski, nom de guerre - "Hubal" - with a couple of hundred former regulars until he was killed in action in April 1940. Hubal was so successful in his fight against the Germans that they feared him like fire & nicknamed him "The Ghost." In the end, they mutilated his corpse & sent photos of it to Hitler, See You Tube under "Hubal."

All these originate from medieval Russians. So, in fact, the Soviet invasion was a liberation for all non-Polish people.
