Meh... There were only a few songs from their Thornography album I liked... Going against the top comment there, its like their "evolution" was more mainstream feeling... But don't get me wrong, Cradle has been and always will be one of my favorite bands. Thorn wasn't their best album by far though...

Other then that, i dont feel like these guys are black metal (dont freak out) but its too studio and good sounding to be black metal (not being black metal isnt a bad thing!) theyre their own genre (as any band would say really) but for them its the truth, they are in fact creative enough. Black metal fans hate cause people call them black metal when theyre not.
@zsybrant Well its 100 percent different hermin li is pretty good, dragon force is sped up, But this is all on 1 or 2 strings not the whole guitar, just because its fast doesnt mean its as good, I play guitar. and all of cradles songs are rather easy to play

I don't know what happened to Cradle of Filth during the Nymphetamine - Thornography era. Maybe they were creatively exhausted after making an album as great as Damnation and a Day. In any event, their lyrics floated to nearly the surface from how deep they were before this. They started making Heavy Metal songs, much like this one, and their songs get less dark. Then emo kids started to flock to them as a result. I remember thinking that this was the permanent decline of Cradle of Filth. But...
I like this song for the most part, and from cradle to enslave, and fear of the dark, but some of the other titles just make me stray away from this band. Abortion master or w/e just sounds awful, I just want someone's opinion which ones are good and dont involve sex, rape, abortion, or shit like that?

Less Godspeed, They all kick ass. Not too fond of Damnation, prolly my least fav album. Midian/Cruelty are my favs and Nymphetamine is very under rated.

Only thing we differ on is Godspeed and Thorn. Dani's voice sounded horrid to me, but the music was good. I am the Thorn, Dirge and several others off of Thorn just grab me. As is Godspeed, it took a while for Thorn to grow on me. \m/

It's just different. My personal favorite is bitter suites, but i think all of their albums are great, and they all bring something different and new and interesting, that's what I love about this band, it's constantly evolving.
