  • I never knew David Mitchell had a pop career?

  • I guess 10 people don't like gravel........

  • Great original song. I really like it. The lyrics are excellent.

  • Ember is my real name.. :DD just had to let that be knownnn

  • @leo22134 cool first name! M. Berns (me) is how I got -Ember-

  • @emberfx thank youuu:DD and i get it thats so cool

  • @emberfx thanks for the answer. someone else told me i had to slow the 50 fps video down to 40 fps, so that the lip movements fit to the song. for a more visible slowmotion effect from 50 fps to 25 fps the actor in the clip would have to move the lips really fast, seems to be impossible. I think it's difficult to find the lowest common denominator.

  • ive been a huge fan of you guys for a while keep up the good work

  • @stevosmusic hey thanks so much! New tunes coming soon!

  • cant wait to get this camera!

  • @TheToneOfOurSoul Hey, thanks so much!

  • wow Canon 5D Mark II, I hate you ;P

  • Thanks for the technical information. That's was very helpful to me as I plan my next video shoot.

  • You have a good voice ! :)

  • @skupperdon Hey thnx!

  • what was the ISO????

  • @MrCharukesh This was ISO 3200 then pushed about a stop in FCP...

  • @emberfx how grainy did it get? did u soften the whole video?

  • @MrCharukesh prob 80-90% had the exposure pushed in FCP... there was some grain but for the most part it disappeared when we output using H.264... under close examination the H.264 outputs simply looked "smoother" than any other codec we tried (and also made the file very small, great for uploading to YT ;-)

  • @emberfx you could of knocked out any grain with the neatvideo grain removal. but it looks great either way, especiall at 3200 ISO. what apature where you at on the L lens? 2.8?

  • @PUMAJOE yes, this was done mostly at a 2 or 2.8 depending on the lens...I don't believe they were ever completely wide open apertures...

  • what was the ISO????

  • @MrCharukesh This was ISO 3200 then pushed about a stop in FCP...

  • Great camera work! Pretty song.

  • @TalkWithVan ...much appreciated :-)

  • Your voice is so beautiful <3 I mean it.

The clip isn't that good, even if i can see there is a lot of work :D but, the voice !!!

    Love it.

    Bravo ;)

  • love this. you have a great voice!

  • i already left commets on his channel, but I want everyone to know how difficult this was to film and edit! He's a great songwriter and he does have a beautiful voice, with excellent tone! I really liked the video as well, I liked the film-shoot-location; on the streets, at night with subtle-lighting and rain falling... It was indicative of the lyrical-content and was done so well!!!

  • waaw, really really great job man! :) amazing music and video!!! good luck :)

    dominika

  • 2 thumbs up. This is sensational music. Loveing my listen to your recording.

  • awsome! but Canon 5d Mk II and Ef Lens 85mm f/1.2L, Ef 200mm f/2L, Ef 24mm f/1.4L II, Ef 135mm f/2.0. you certanley have a lot money, i could hardley afford 5D Mk II and 24-70 2.8. :P

  • This has gained my respect just by using the House MD camera system.

  • Love It...great work!

  • that's really great! You are an amazing singer/songwriter!!!!!!!!!!!

  • my new favorite video!

  • a really interesting work singing faster and then slowing down the footage ^.^ but i wish we could see the slow motion effect more clearly when the singer is on the screeen singing the song

  • thats dope my dude!

  • 'interesting' *hüstel*

  • beautiful song and video!

  • Great Video!! Really interesting info too. Check out our first music video shot on the same camera.

  • I like this song. It reminds me of a softer postal service. It's simple but so clever. Keep it up. Look forward to hearing some more things from you.

-Jesus Christ loves ya and saves! :) -Rebekah

  • @darianryder hey much thnx! keep in touch!

  • Nice song and electronic sound

  • Thats a nice sound you have. Although the lip syncing wasn't perfect, I suppose it would be hard to make it look perfect.

  • cool. some of the oof effects are gimmicky

  • Good Job! i like your electronic feel :)

  • nice video! Where did you film it at?

  • @brinkmuah hey thnx so much... this was filmed on Beverly Dr. in Beverly Hills... in the pouring rain...

  • the camera's amazing. it's like real life!!!! great that you made a video!!! :D :D :D i love this song!!!!!!!!!

  • Beautiful song! Love the video.

  • Hi, lovely video and great music!!!

only a question: how do you achieve 30fps to 24 fps conversion. is it as simple as importing the raw and render into 24fps??

  • @izzarshah ... hey thnx... the conversion must be done in a Nonlinear Editing program as a slow motion percentage of the original footage and not a render to 24fps... The song was sped up by a factor of 1.25x (125%) and shot at 30fps, then slowed down by a factor of .8x (80%) to bring the video back match the normal speed of the song. If you send us an email to our website we can give more detailed instructions from our camera operator...

  • @izzarshah ...also... many scenes where Michael is not singing were slowed down by 50% and reversed in Final Cut Pro... the effect of slow motion while he is singing is slight because it is at 80% of the original... the Coldplay Video Yellow is slowed down by 50% which is much more noticeable (see the above link to "Yellow")... We had originally tried the 50% slow down, but for that we had to double the speed of the song... which was too fast for Michael to sing along with...

  • I should let you know that my gf will not stop playing this song... Catchy catchy tune...

  • i am loving your music Michael!

  • i am loving your music Michael!

  • GREAT SONG! GREAT VIDEO!
