  • not a throw down...

  • not so much a great throw as it was a running error.

  • catcher got lucky on the throw most people who try this the runner just goes to 3rd when the catcher releases theball to second

  • perfect throw. shortstop didnt have to move his glove.

  • did anyone realize how nasty the curve was

  • the shortstop's block made it. Also, I can't tell you how many times the runner thinks the catcher is going to stop at the "pump fake."

  • that was a hell of a throw but if he would of thrown on the first try it would of been even better

  • wow that was bad baserunning just run fast back to the bag

  • there something i dont understand in baseball, when the guy at 2B recieved the ball , he was standing on the base, why does he have to further touch the runner with his glove ?

and when is it enough to walk on the base ?

  • It's called a force out and a tag out. If a runner has to advance to another bag then you can simply tag the base and not the runner, but if he doesn't have to advance he has to be tagged if off the base.

  • its not a force the runner didnt have to go back so he has to tag him. As if there was a runner on 1st and 2nd the runner on 2nd has to go to 3rd base so its a force and they could just touch the bag and hes out

  • GREAT play by the catcher.. it aint as easy at it seems to throw across the diamond and pick off a base runner off like that

  • Wasn't really trying to anxious to steal, the batter was going to sac bunt and the runner took too much of a secondary lead anticipating contact. Nice play though.

  • that was a weak throw.. the ball was dying

  • weak throw? the ball got there in 1.1 seconds.. It died about as much as any throw across a diamond would.

  • i guess if you say so.. dont know what kind of arms ya have..

  • @sprtn167 i agree... that was actually a good strong throw...well placed and everything...you obviously dont want it 6 feet above the 2nd basemans head...god some people are just ignorant

  • @sprtn167 1.1 my ass. And no that throw completely died. Most throws dont die that much

  • @onehitwinsit08 time the throw fromt he time it leaves his hand. its 1.1 seconds. Secondly, guy had a canon. I played with him in high school. He had a sub 2 poptime.

  • @SPRTNGamingTV Even if the throw was 1.1 it still dies alot. and I had a sub 2 poptime as a freshman. Im not trying to take anything away from the kid, I was just pointing out that the throw died. It was a heads up play by him.

  • @reynaman

and the alternative? The ball being above the runner?

    Useful.. -_-

  • @reynaman you might be retarded

  • @reynaman you have no idea what the hell youre talking about so stfu little bitch

  • @mfam821 why the anger, all i said the ball was drying.. i didn't say it was off target.. stupid..

  • @mfam821 why the anger, all i said the ball was drying.. i didn't say it was off target.. stupid..

  • @reynaman it was a great throw. Right on target.

  • @reynaman 92 mph sinkers "die" a little bit when thrown from the mound to the plate. does that make it weak?

  • @reynaman You're a fucking idiot. He threw the guy out...obviously it was a good throw.

  • thats just sloppy baserunning

  • thats a pickoff dipshits.

  • is that cathcer playing college ball?

  • He went to Rogers State I believe. (In Oklahoma)

  • @sprtn167 he has never stepped on the field at all the games ive been to

  • @Willzy10 Yeah. I believe he ended up quitting before the season started or went JuCo. His lil bro went to Eastern but quit.

  • OMG!!!!

  • damn but I seen better, some guy on my vars team can throw almost a perfect line from catchers position, its scary but nonetheless this was a good ppick

  • THAT WAS AMZING! Great athletic ability on the catcher's part and great awareness on the Short Stop's part. 5/5

P.S.- It is called a Throw Down. :)

  • @SteekMonkee its a pickoff...if he was throwing down the runner would be running from 1st to 2nd...instead he just took to much of a lead

  • @SteekMonkee No it's not, A throw down is when you get somebody out that is stealing. The runner at second had a lead off, and was going back, but the catch made a PICK OFF and got him out.

Pick off- Getting somebody out that had a lead.

  • owned.

  • that wasnt a pick off it was a throw down

  • lol, you are trying to start a stupid argument, I congratulate you.

Throwing down would refer to the catcher throwing to a base to get someone out who is stealing.

Picking off would be getting a runner out on the base that they got a lead off at.

  • sorry i said it wrong big whoop

  • You were the one trying to correct him on the same thing

  • i did this in highschool too. but you're right its a pick off not a throw down. just like throwing to first or third is a throw over.

  • Yea bud you're an idiot.

  • so sexy

  • so sexy

  • lol.

  • i catch and i got like a 2.0 pop time...but bein able to pick someone off wit no momentum goin forward and flinchin first wit that accuracy...is fuckin insane....sick ass throw

  • nice out

  • i was at that game

  • nice.

  • ha ha

    pretty much
