This guy has a brilliant voice but this attempt to detract doesnt work. I think he would sound much better if he just stuck to the script. i have a bad feeling that rather than learning the actual notes he has decided instead to cheat and just make it up as he goes along thats a shame because i think he can actually sing that song the way its meant to be done, brilliantly. he is capable so he should stop playing and keep still.

dude it's a completely unaccompanied performance. it's supposed to be a showcase where u get to riff and fiddle with the melody, and he actually sticks fairly close to it for the most part. Plus, the melody has a lot of riffs and stuff in it.

during american idol, i honestly hated him..i had always thought he was a good singer, but thought he was way over the top with all his dance moves and cheesy looks..but off of american idol he is such a good performer, and has a wonderful voice. but i will always choose kelly over him.

unbelievable talent, Justin has! that performance still gives me goosebumps. i wish i had been there to hear it live that day, but the excitement of hearing that song (after only having heard him do a 20 second bit of it in the first AI auditions) comes through loud and clear in the squeals of delight from the audience. gets my heart pumping!

Meh, Elliot's vocal runs sound more impressive than they are thanks to his vibrato, and his stage presence is lacking. I also question his range, because while he can hit the high notes, he sounded like he was struggling with the lower notes in "If You Really Love Me." That said, Justin started to suck halfway through American Idol because the songs he chose kinda blew, but I find Elliot's voice to be just as "ordinary" as Elliot's.
