What are you using for caps? I had a plastic/tin foil stack which was great with a NST, but the extra current from a MOT blew a hole through about 8 inches of it! It looks like you have a stationary spark gap in addition to the rotary. Is that some sort of fail safe?

Its good you have a strike rail1 =P how r u fabrico? haven't talked to u in a while. As i told u i bilt a sgtc but i fails. it is horrible and doesn't spark witout a grounding stick near it. and even then its only an inch of a barely visible spark.

@awesomelightning hey i'm fine and you? how long :// hey, keep trying, i recommend you change the primary, or do it again, the turns need or almost need to be perfect, try to put around 1cm of space in al the turns and try to sintonize it, trying with different numbers of turns in the primary, different toroids, and more bottle capacitors, you can trust, it will work when you less imagine like happened with me xD =)
