The Tibetan people you are talking about is merely 5% who were exiled from 1959, what about the 95% who are still in Tibet? China was broken into so many parts after WWII, Tibet was one of the pieces. There are lots of other provinces in China which have independent culture/government/languages, not only Tibet. We united together and formed back the China, which is the name standing for the generic region for over 5000 years. In old Tibet before 1950, 88 percent of Tibeten people were born as slaves. Slaves didn't belong to themselves, they belong to their slave masters who occupied 5% of Tibeten population at that time. Slaves could be sold,bought,abused at the will of their masters!

The Tibetan students that held demonstration in a university in Beijing are my heroes. These Tibetan students displayed how strong the Tibetan spirits are, my hat off to them. The first recorded Tibetan king was established in 127 BC. The China's claim of Tibet being part of China is Yuan dynasty (1271 to 1368) ruled Tibet. But Yuan in Chinese is 元朝 which means Mongolian. It was Mongol empire that invaded China, Tibet and much of Asia and set up their capital in Peking. Under the Mongol Yuan dynasty, no Mongol army was presence in Tibet. In fact, Tibet enjoyed special privilege under Mongol rule since it was the spiritual source of the Dynasty.

I used to have a lot of respect for the Dalai Lama and his teachings. Since the recent orchestrated Riots in Lhasa, capital of Tibet, China and the disruption of a worldly event, The Olympic Games, the Tibetans certainly has lost a great deal of respect from Billions of people amongst the 200 plus participating countries. If the whole world were to only adopt Tibetan meditation practices without any form of exercise, how can one develop a Healthy Mind and Body. Heroes competes - Losers disrupt.

The Tibetan people you are talking about is merely 5% who were exiled from 1959, what about the 95% who are still in Tibet? Chinese people don't believe in the "terrorism" in Tibet same as you do not. But they did burn down houses and killed Tibetans and Han people in the riot, I would call them criminals. The terrorism term is created by USA government to cover its actions in Iraq, I prefer Chinese government not copying this. The In-Tibet Tibetans do have much better life than they used to do, same as all other race Chinese. I believe it is much better than those exiled Tibetans coming back and rule us again.

The 95% of Tibetan people are still in Tibet, what you see and hear is an exaggerated effect by biased media. Just imagine Tibetans IN Tibet come to USA and say we love what Chinese government did for us, will CNN broadcast it? I'm not saying Chinese government did perfectly in Tibet problem, but you have to understand that the truth is something in between. I have seen the shooting clips on youtube, that's wrong, but I don't think the soldiers are shooting them because they are Tibetans.

China was broken into so many parts after WWII, Tibet was one of the pieces. There are lots of other provinces in China which have independent culture/government/languages, not only Tibet. We united together and formed back the China, which is the name standing for the generic region for over 5000 years. If you really want to support Tibet, I would suggest you work as a volunteer in Tibet, and help them farming or something else meaningful.
As I know, several western country medical doctors (such as Professor Creswell Eastman from Sydney University, Australia) have worked in rural Tibet as volunteers for more than 10 years. They are real friends of Tibetan people, not you.

In old Tibet before 1950, 88 percent of Tibeten people were born as slaves. Slaves didn't belong to themselves, they belong to their slave masters who occupied 5% of Tibeten population at that time. Slaves could be sold,bought,abused at the will of their masters!

The Tibetan students that held demonstration in a university in Beijing are my heroes. These Tibetan students displayed how strong the Tibetan spirits are, my hat off to them. They received many years of education from the chinese government, but at this crucial time and situation, they showed that they support their own people, they were praying for the heroes died in fighting for our freedom and the ones inevitably would be tortured by the chinese.

Why the West are hypocrites concerning matters of Tibet or Sudan? Because Tibet and Sudan do not lie near Middle East territory Oil is the Greedy Language which amounts too=lots of money. So the West does not care about human rights violations if Oil is not involved. Oil is the Gold of today's Economy.Why was Kuwait liberated? Why does everybody care about Saudi Arabia or China? Does not take a rocket scientist to figure that out.

The first recorded Tibetan king was established in 127 BC. The China's claim of Tibet being part of China is Yuan dynasty (1271 to 1368) ruled Tibet. But Yuan in Chinese is 元朝 which means Mongolian. It was Mongol empire that invaded China, Tibet and much of Asia and set up their capital in Peking. Under the Mongol Yuan dynasty, no Mongol army was presence in Tibet. In fact, Tibet enjoyed special privilege under Mongol rule since it was the spiritual source of the Dynasty.
