@Toronado2008 The Coast Guard still does that every year. Restoration was done by Color lab in Maryland. The History Center of Traverse City is seeking funding to restore a 40 min. film from January 1940 "We're In The Movies". A professional film shot that had a quick view of your Dad's store on Front & Cass. It features lots of businesses & people in town. There are over 11,000 photos on our website: traverse history.org. that you can search. A photo of Harold D. missing. I'll fix that.
These are great films! The quality is so clear. I love the idea of the Coast Guard bringing the queen to the festival .....
