  • Sweet Jesus Palomino!!! every time they showed less of the creature like the shadows or the eyes, you get the idea. Damn those F'ing eyes just the idea looking out a window in the dark. This horror flick of old that did it justice screw today's monster flicks. Always loved scaring any one who hasn't seen the ending.

  • it's a old movie but, it's so good

  • i have this on DVD but i just wished it had so much special features on it.

  • He did before Lost Boys I take it!

  • @ojmccaf63 Yep this was 1985, Lost Boys came out 2 years later in 1987.

  • I LOVE COREY HAIM!!!!

  • Silver Bullet is the best werewolf movie IMO. I love it. The greenhouse part used to scare the shit outta me, and I just watched it again for the first time in years and I had to pull my legs off the ground and put my hands on my face. haha. Love this movie.

  • its just sad that

Old movies are usually pretty good

but the ones that require special effects (ie werewolf movies + other unnatural stuff) just look too bad for my taste and nowdays werewolf movies arent made at all

  • Now if only I could listen to the audio...

  • Watching this as a kid in the 80's. it scared the livin bejeesus out of me. R.I.P Corey Haim

  • Good flick. Loved this back in the day...still do! *lol*

  • @SidJustice1 2 of my favs were this and The Holwing.

  • @videozfann I didn't like the Howling.. I thought it end really stupid.. Oh, Salem's Lot is awesome..

  • Back in the day Silver Bullet was the SHIT, Whoooo!!!

  • this movie is terrifying.

  • Steven kings master piece... Love this film... when I was growing up this film was rated the best horror werewolf movie and still is, Inc American werewolf in London, and the howling.

  • @1Beatis1 Yeah!

  • Garey Busey is the absolute shit in this movie.

  • @cobh8crew2009 hell yeah!

  • Love that movie

  • This and American Werewolf in London are my favorite werewolf movies. the original Howling was pretty good too.

  • @ThePopCultureJunkie

? New Moon doesn't show any werewolves. Plus Cursed was a good movie, and I'm pretty sure that the werewolf in it was a giant puppet.

  • Holy Jumpin' Jesus Palomino

  • R.I.P. Corey Haim! An actor who played the little boy in this movie!

  • @Dinoman217 Oh he died what happened?

  • @star3ize Pneumonia!

  • Watched this last night, good movie

  • @PeterXWendy Ginger Snaps was pretty good, so was dog soldiers.

  • @a7xfan1222 Bad Moon is a pretty good one too.

  • Now these are the types of movies I miss. Screw the twilight crap and even underworld. Its not a horror movie if its set up in a way where the rules and laws are adapted right from the start. For example, Underworld, from the starting, was a dark and twisted world where the main character was already a monster and werewolves were common. Horror is unknown or supernatural forces thrown into the world we know but thats my opinion.

  • the master of horror stephen king is what he should of said.

  • This movie terrified me as a child. I remember sleeping with a light on for a long time.

  • @RetroJenny I had nightmares from this movie for a long time. I didn't have the boogeyman in my closet when I was little, I had a werewolf ^_^

  • Does anyone know any other awesome classic werewolf movies? I've seen The Howling and An American Werewolf in London. I've googled them but personal opinions are better :)

  • @PeterXWendy I recommended Ginger snaps! :D

  • @PeterXWendy

Dog Soldiers, Ginger Snaps 1-3, and Cursed are some of my favourites I've seen other then The Howling, and An American Werewolf In London. An American Werewolf In Paris was pretty good, but not as classic.

  • I <3 Corey Haim :)

  • @KikiCrin I miss him so much </3

  • @oklordnerd Same here, I <3 his movie but mostly "The Lost Boyz" :)

  • @KikiCrin ME TOOO <3 and Licence to drive !

  • @oklordnerd Oh yeah, I love that one too :)

  • @ChromeDome83 Ya i have seen dog soilders , its pretty good i like it

  • Jesus tap dancing christ, STOP comparing WEREWEOLF movies to the twilight saga!!, shapeshifters- werewolfs, 2 different fucking things!!!!!!

  • v Exactly what he Said LOL

    v

    v

  • This movie is so sick lol!! It's scared the fuck out of me haha!

  • man......me and my siblings watched this when we were super little. I'm still afraid of werewolves. though modern werewolves are pretty crappy. I really wish they'd make them scary again.

  • thumbs up if you agree that the silver bullet werewolf would totally skull-rape the one from twit-light

  • @ronin6401

There isn't werewolves that you see in twilight -_-

  • @ronin6401 ...Nah, it wouldn't degrade itself that low...

  • @ronin6401 ya, but the werewolf myth in twilight is totally different from this movie! the Twilight wolf is portrayed in a POSITIVE manner. This positive portrayal of the wolf is perhaps best represented by myths of Native American tribes of North America. So there is NOTHING wrong with the werewolves in Twilight, it's just the "vamps" that are idiotic.

  • @adamJcarter except for imprinting on underage girls, constantly depicted as being inferior to the sparkle-pires, and the generally racist depiction of native americans (albeit that last one's more meyer's fault than the characters)

  • @ronin6401 I don't see how it's wrong that the wolf is depicted as being inferior to the fairy's :s....even tho they're not, they're just as strong. I'm Native, I don't find anything racist in that movie.

  • this is one of my favorite werewolf films.love the scene when there hunting for the werewolf in the woods and end up in the swamp and start getting picked off one by one. gary busey did a great job in the film, loved his character as the drunken funny uncle.having the werewolf be a priest was a great idea.it's a shame what happened to corey haim and can't believe that busey is still alive.

  • this movie came out like 11 years before i was born and i watched it when i was six i fell in love with this movie but still i love vampires better... and no i do not like twilight

  • 1:09

  • hahahaha 1:09

  • classic

  • I wish they still made trailers like this with the narrative.

  • Is that wolf real

  • i remember this. i was probably 4 when it came out. i don't know how old i was when i finally got to see it. but my werewolf obsession started here. odd huh. actually liking them from a stephen king movie.

  • i remember watching this at my mates house when i was about 10 :)

  • Alot of people are saying this movie is sooo good! but is it?

the trailer makes it seem kinduv boring to me. wats it about??

    please someone telll mee!!!!!

  • @MisILOVECOREYFELDMAN well first of all,I love your name ;) and this movie is awsome,if you ever see it it will make you jizz your pants XD I saw the movie on youtube so you should watch it,its not boring at all, almost made me have a heart attack!!!!Tell me when you watch it,its WAY better than the twilight werewolves ;)

  • @Lavenderlash hehe thanks! i deffinatly wanna watch it now!!! if u can, can u please give me the link to this movie? thanks :D

  • @MisILOVECOREYFELDMAN umm idk how to but go to this and then search until you find something that says Stephen King's Silver Bullet (1/11) and then you can watch it ;)

  • @Lavenderlash hehe thanks!!! ur soo super dooper nicee!!!! :D

  • @MisILOVECOREYFELDMAN yes,yes I am ;) btw did you read what I said on your page *wink wink*

  • @Lavenderlash of course i did :D

  • @MisILOVECOREYFELDMAN yea!!!Twilight does suck horibily!!!

  • @MisILOVECOREYFELDMAN oh and I said something again ;)

  • I actually thought it was partially funny as a kid.

  • Reverend,he was torn apart!

  • The revren (i know i spelled that wrong) was hot haha

    R.I.P. Corey Haim ):

  • I love this movie. Brings back childhood memories.

  • i love this movie

  • love this movie

  • scariest werewolf movie ever

  • Yeah, this movie scarred me for life, especially considering that I saw it when I was in kindergarden and I lived in the middle of nowhere.

  • one of stephen kings overlooked movies. megan follows was great

  • Great great great movie

  • this movie scared the living daylights out of me when i was a kid. still regret i saw it at like age 7:(

  • Still my favorite werewolf movie. I want to see a remake :D

  • Bala de Prata!!!!!!!!!!

  • this movie isnt scary at all but the best werewolf movie ive seen like american werewolf in paris is just really retarted it was made like 10 or 20 years after the original which i havnt finished yet. when i was like 7 me my sister and my friend watched american werewolf in london and we didnt want to see the girl get eaten so we turned it off. but it turned out she didnt even get eaten.............

  • such a good movie

  • still,i love the movie

  • I saw the film for a few days ago and it is not so scary...

  • I need someone to help me out. I've been looking for the book that Silver Bullet was made from. I saw on Wikipedia that the book was called 'The Cylce of the Werewolf' I had someone look up the book at a bookstore and she told me that it's no longer being printed. Is that true? I would LOVE to read that book. Nobody writes Horror novels like King.

  • @Ken9284 i've got the book

i got it from borders a couple of years ago - i'm sure you can find it on amazon or something, but i havent a clue whether or not it still in print

the book (my copy at least) is more of a graphic novel than an actual novel - its pretty good :)

  • "American Werewolf in London", "The Howling", "Dog Soldiers" and both "Wolfman" movies are the only werewolf movies, out of hundreds, that are better than "Silver Bullet". I still watch this movie every once in a while. Megan Follows was the best part of this movie.

  • @GarthanSaal444 Yeah Dog Soldiers was bad ass. I had a problem with the thick accents the first time I watched it, but the second time around it was good. Plus Dog Soldiers has the scariest version of a werewolf I've ever seen.

  • this movie rocks and toxic avnger.

  • MAN THIS IS A GREAT MOVIE!!!!!

  • why can't they make movies like this anymore... instead they stick us with "Twilight" and a slew of remakes.

  • trailer isnt scary anymore

  • I've watched this movie since I was 2 years old and have been watching ever since. LOVE LOVE LOVE this movie! I so wish he could've been more successful...

  • Hell of a movie, and Corey Haim was excellent as the young, paralyzed boy with a brilliant mind. Be at peace Corey Haim!

  • R.I.P Corey Haim

  • Me encanta esta pelicula...QEPD COREY HAIM

  • RIP Corey Haim.

  • I think this was his best movie...

  • The best werewolf movie of all time.

  • @Polarcupcheck yes it is

  • Great movie, loved this as a kid. I wish they would make more simple werewolve movies like this instead of all the teeny booper new moon crap

  • No need, unfortunately. This movie has the best name. The most interesting cast and characters, and the best story line. "American Werewolf in London" was well done, namely for the transformation, but when it comes to the total package, this delivers more, in my opinion. "AWIL," was cheesy acting, I thought

I think Silver Bullet is almost perfect. When it came out, I would give it 9.8/10.0. Now, maybe 9.5/10.0. Only because with some modern tech, a few scenes could have been more realistic.

  • If I think about it, it is like the "Jaws" of werewolf movies. You have the protagonist vs. the monster.

  • New moon crap aren't werewolves they're shapeshifters, basically. And the movies more geared for Vampires anyways XD I know what you mean though

  • @machine5150

There isn't werewolves that you see in twilight -_-

  • @machine5150 thats about vampires not wear wolves and the wolves in it are shape shifters....

  • I hope they show More Stephen King Movies on TV again. .. .

  • they do

  • The movie is really nice it isn't even scary

  • I loved this. Corey, Busey! fog, full moon and 80's music

  • my mum let me watch this when i was a kid

i was terrified for years afterwards

  • when i saw this movie i had a nightmare 20 times about this movie

  • @catkkm SO WAS I DUDE.....FOR YEARS AFTERWORD.

  • my fav horror film ever

  • One of my favorite horror films. Maybe it's not as scary as some, but I liked the characters.

  • This is one of the funniest movies ever made. This is a classic in my family. Watch it for Uncle Redd and motorized wheelchairs that can go faster than cars!!

  • i watched this years ago and checked it out on Netflix. It is SOOO bad, not campy bad-but Gary Busey Bad. Don't waste your time on this one.

  • Your mother sicks.... or she did last night!

  • my mother is not sick!

  • scariest part of that movie was as with every movie he's in is Gary Busey

  • In the original draft, Stephen King had the Werewolf speak. He drank beer and ate the bottle in the first scene and mocked his victims. It would have been ridicolous and funny.

  • oh my gids i havent seen this since i was 12...love the haim and gary busey in this..even the dodgy preist"why janey ur tremboling" oooh weirdo lol

  • Epic line-"I think I made lemonade" lol

  • i never knew "Cycle of the Werewolf " was adapted into a film. I hope they include the February scene.

  • Yeah, I just read that part in the book. I'm not sure if I should feel sorry for that woman, or think "My God she's pathetic!"

    **SPOILER**

I mean, she was sending Valentine cards to herself from made up boyfriends.

  • i was fcking scared of this movie when i was little....

  • Yea this line is funny as shit! Specially coming from the preacher!

  • I was watching a video about Transilvania

with so beatiful landscapes of the region, and I wonder how this beatiful place can be linked to such terrible legends with this horrible dogs! Sincerly I prefer to see to Snoopy making suffer to Lucy.

  • Good movie..scared the hell outta me wen i was younger. But An American werewolf in London is the greatest werewolf movie of all time

  • @alexislol321 depends on time of year, latitude, etc :)

  • I remember as a little kid seeing part of the beginning where the woman contemplates suicide and then gets killed by the werewolf. Made me too scared to sleep for a while

  • made me too scared to consider suicide

    thanks for posting this.

  • same here :)

  • the scariest movie i've ever seen

  • "Holy jumped a bald-headed jesus palomina"!(Gary Bussey). He must have pulled that line from his darkside lower-companion monkey!

  • Was really scary and confirmed my beliefs on preachers.

  • @werewolf

The werewolf was too unconvincing to be a priest. It took him far to long to catch a little boy during the chase scene.

  • anyone know where someone can get this mvoie, along with steohan kings the night flier?

  • fye

  • thanks. lol i was just at the mall where they have a fye shop there.

  • sure thing, if you haven't saw this movie already, and if you like the lost boys, just think of it like that except involving a werewolf, not as good as the lost boys, but a fun watch

  • i saw some parts of it a long time ago and just remembered it so was interested in it. lol i got some family members who read the book and they said it was really good. might have to check out the movie

  • Haha I love this movie! One of the best werewolf movies Stephen King ever made, a "One Hit Wonder" if you wanna call it that, scared the living hell out of me when I was way younger. LOL

  • you are an ignorant moron.Stepehn King has made many screen adaptations, Such as Sleeplwakers,The Shinning (1997),Maximum Overdrive,Creepshow,Cat's Eye,The Mangler,Firestarter,Pet Semetary,Nightmares & Dreamscapes and more others than i care to remember.why don't you educate yourself you ignorant shit stain!

  • lol Uncle Red is so awesome

  • My mother claims (STILL TO THIS DAY) that the 1st time I saw it.. I had to sleep with the light on. I was 15, and I found it creepy... but I wasn't THAT scared.
