anyway--the reason as to why dryfiring does cause damage to your gun is due to the fact that when the piston slams forward the BB causes resistance against the air shootng out. If there is no resistance, all the pressure of the piston is hitting the cylinder head--in reaction--hurts the gearbox. Granted, the higher BB wheight more resistance. And yes, .2 g is sufficient enough reistance against the air being pushed out.

The reason as to why this probably has such a low ROF is the recoil system. The same applies to GBB rifles, harder the recoil is the slower the ROF is. On this AEG, there is most likely a weight somewhere within the piston or buffertube (how they would do buffertube, not sure) that causes it to slow down.

ROF is not everything, neither is FPS. N no offense, but the internals of that AEG outperform yours.

no i actually know from experience that the gears do get stripped. i have broken a gun by doing that, the gears wouldn't connect. it just made a spinning noise . maybe it does it that but i doubt it because of the way that you described it when you shoot it the cylinder head is hit harder. so what your saying is that if you shoot the gun in auto it will eventually break the gun. I have never played with an airsoft M4 Commando , but I shoot the real one quite often. Also every gun you listed has recoil, expecially as you shorten the barrel length, its just the felt recoil is not as significant as higher calibre rounds, 30cal .50 cal etc.
