Hello! Have you thought about intellectus 424 diet (google it)? Ive heard some unbelivable things about it and my work buddy lost tons of weight with it.
whats your opinion on not doing the induction phase and just reducing carbs in general to around 100g at most per day as a more steady long-term approach is the induction absolutely necessary
@ytcrittical My concern is it may not be enough for some people. That will probably work for someone with a mild to no sensitivity to carbohydrate, but most people who are obese, diabetic, or deal with some other metabolic disorder will be HIGHLY sensitive to carbs and will need to start out at Induction-level carbs of 20g daily for a few weeks to transition from carb-burning to fat-burning for fuel. Even then, some can't go much above that. I still keep my carb intake to 20-30g daily.
Your sidebar information confused me a little, since the link to buy the kits is still valid. Are these still available? I've always wanted to try Atkins, I have one of the books, but it was always daunting to try to read because it's immense.

PEOPLE please read "the most comprehensive nutrition study ever conducted: THE CHINA STUDY.. It is purely science based (alot of science, but easy to read). The ATKINS diet is BAD for you health. Anybody serious about nutrition should read this book..you will guaranteed loose weight and keep healthy.
You vegan activists can quote "The China Study" until you're blue in the face, but it still doesn't negate the fact that the Atkins low-carb diet is grounded in plenty of research and scientific truth. No amount of whining and bellyaching over how bad Atkins is will change this fact.
Hi Jimmy,I managed to purchase a copy of the DVD and watched it right through. I was expecting more information such as diet plans etc but nevertheless it was informative. I have started the Induction again and was wondering if it was alright to to eat a product made by Empowerfoods of a LC "bread" It has only 2g of carbs per slice . Apparently it's not really bread but made from almond meal etc. It will make life so much easier for me with a bread substitute.
With regards to the "action-pack" :-D; I bought a dvd years ago called "Atkins, Why it works". It consisted of 3 parts, The first, Doctor Atkins talking explaining the diet, the second a "visit" in his office where he talks some more and the third questions with him and his co-workers (Colette etc.). Does this pack include any additional video-material not mentioned in the above combo already? I see there is a meal planner but wonder if its not part of the mentioned combo that I have?
I have to agree with what you said in the vid. There is so little video material of Dr. Atkins. I know he apparently had some radio show going years ago, I wonder what chances are that one can get copies of it.
FitCamp doesn't start until August 17th, but you'll see lots of new videos when it does. I am planning on doing video updates from Nashville talking about what all is happening.

If it helps you make the transition to NO bread, then GO FOR IT! Just keep track of the carbs and watch how it impacts your weight and blood sugar.
