I honestly feel that this movie has lasted for so long because of Heather O'Rourke (Carol-Anne.) Her trademark blonde hair, delivery of 1 line and tragic life story and premature death at the age of 12 is the driving force behind this film's stature after 30 years, IMO.

I always had loved this movie, but the only thing that "Scared" me was her screams and cries when she was in the TV and when that one lady told Diana the 'poltregeist' was using her and telling her lies. Love this movie hadn't seen it since I was 9 and this was my first "horror" movie and I thought it was awesome!

Watched this movie last night. Not bad. It actually managed to make me jump once, something that isn't easy for a horror movie to do, because the jump moments are so obvious. I mean, the one in this movie was obvious too, but it came a lot faster than I thought it would, so it caught me off guard.
