  • I have the same gba but it doesn,t control the sound how do you do it

  • @bigbangbot The processor is more powerful than it was mean't to be. So unless you can overclock a processor, you can't.

  • i have that game boy advanced

  • I just ruined the balance of likes

  • @brokeherlittlebones i restored balance

  • I got one for free at work, now so its not suppose to light up the screen? I see.

  • id hit that

  • i liked it

  • You might just need to overclock on Super Street Fighter II Turbo Revival edition, sometimes GBA has trouble running T.Hawk stage.

  • To all those who say why, why the hell not?

  • @Eggbert1x EXACTLY!

  • DON"T TOUCH THE LIKE/DISLIKE BAR FOR GODS SAKE.

  • @meatyheadshot TOUCH

  • Can someone please explain what exactly it does? Does it increase FPS? Or... what? I'm confused.

  • @AllofVideos cpu speed increase/decrease

  • i pressed like to make it even

  • how the hell did you do that???

  • How come when its normal time, the light "flashes" on, but when it's in "slow clocked" the light fades on? As if the entire scene is slowed, and not the game itself?

  • Speed up the video

  • if your playing pokemon, you know how slow that is walking round. with this will speed things up.

  • @halo56822

    Yes...

  • @halo56822

Sonic Advance 2 speedruns will be a sinch when overclocking GBA.

  • how that run on an i7?

  • The first video of youtube with same number of likes and dislikes. 57-57

  • i have that game on gameboy adavanced sp haha

  • Overclocking.

    What's it used for again?

  • @PokeNaruBleach i use over clocking for my DMG-01 so the bass is deaper

  • Overclocking can improve NES emulation with a EZflashcard, so it's not entirely useless. Also, do you know what proof of concept means guys?

  • I think that the only real reason someone would want to overclock their GBA is to play pokemon faster and still be able to trade their pokemon legitimately.

  • 0.0

  • I guess if 150cc isn't fast enough...overclock that shit! XD

  • sorry mate, had to thumb you dumb for the annoying music, made my teeth hurt

  • umm what the hell are we supposed to be looking at ? its a gameboy so what ?

  • omg ! the battery must be strong !

  • Because it is insanely AWESOME to play pokemon on.!!!

  • i dont think it's fake. i know it is.

  • @filetransferSAW And I know that your mom has to have fake boobs.

It's possible to overclock a GBA, retard. Look it up, cunt.

  • Do one where you have 2 Nintendo DSi's one overclocked and the other one underclocked and taking a picture. Fake or not fake!

  • this is dumb. he just speeded up the video. watch the power light as it gets fasted. it blinks faster ;)

  • @cjchillin2k8 everything moves faster when you overclock it.

  • @cjchillin2k8 Are you a Belieber? Anyway, (retard), as the processor goes faster, everything does, so the light blinks faster. Get it(, retard)?

  • he makes the game look faster by pressing L R

  • Um... What just happened?

  • GBA was the PSP :p

  • why is it always mario? lol

  • At 0:08, this brings back good memories, I had the same clear gameboy and Mariokart super circuit, it was the only game system I ever got for Christmas

  • this is usefull in pokemon if you need to walk long distance then you can walk much faster!

  • and whay would that come in handy???

  • I think it would be handy for Goomba Color for games that don't run fullspeed

  • @legoholic19 to make the credits go really fast when you cant skip the credits

  • @legoholic19 Overclocking? Because then it works the same way as using a emulator and using frame skip, to skip over less important things in games you've played for many years. xP Or you know, for lols and even money.

  • cool but..... ummm

    Why exactly?

  • @Phyle9 Because it's fun to make games faster. For example, in Pokemon, where you don't have to go through the boring speech. And in Sonic the Hedgehog if you want Sonic to run even faster.

    DERP.

  • @Phyle9 Because of all those games with extermely long cutscenes/intros that cant be skipped.

Pokemon and Megaman Battle Network are prime examples.

  • @Phyle9 ever played pokemon

    ???? then you would know

  • @Phyle9 To make the long boring dialog in pokemon go by faster :p

  • @Phyle9 To get through pokemon talking

  • wtf? why?

  • @rizrz34 ecause it's fun to make games faster. For example, in Pokemon, where you don't have to go through the boring speech. And in Sonic the Hedgehog if you want Sonic to run even faster.

    FUCKING DERPHEAD.

  • @Habbloxian That's what emulators are for, they do this exact same thing and they are FREE.

  • @rizrz34 ever played pokemon with turbo? its a nessesity lol

  • @Ryanardo2 You bring up a good point lol I still feel just using an emulator would be easier :)

  • haha, I remember I backlit the gba too. And when I went to gamecrazy to trade it in, they were like wtf and was amazed but then someone busted out with their new GB SP and they looked at my gba like it was a joke.

  • did u use the after burn kit or wat? cause its too bright to be the original screen

  • awsome

  • lucky u got the backlight mod. i saw a kit online but the guy was caught for something and the link is gone. :(

  • try nonelectronics

  • how did u get a light in it?

  • afterburner

  • whats overclockd mean?

  • just making it run at a different speed, faster or slower

  • making the processor run at a higher clock speed than what it came out he factory at...underclocking is when you make it run slower than what it came out the factory at

  • i have overclocked my ds ds lite dsi gba gba micro gbsp gbc nes snes n64 and wii
  • Comment removed

  • Pics or it didn't happen (Or a video)

  • How can you overclock your Wii ?

    Is that even possible ?

    Hmm..

But would like to OC my Gameboy Micro, too =(

  • speed up video

  • Comment removed

  • pointless..

  • Hello do as your you put those LED in the GBA?

because my GBA is the first version and your screen may not be played in dark, if you could tell me grateful useful thanks places

  • It was a mod you could install called the Afterburner. They're pretty hard to find now though.

  • @xxxpancioxxx why not get a gameboy advance sp/mino if there to expensive or rare =]

  • @Bradkalproductions i play psp now :)

  • @xxxpancioxxx Just 2 or 4 LEDs are enough. Or you take form a broken GBA SP !

  • an overclock is where you increase the system clock (how fast it processes data)

    basically making it faster

  • How is there a light in that?

  • this would be great on pokemon games

  • Whats the point? The games made for the gameboy are all spec'd to run with the normal processor speed? I dont follow.

  • hahaha poor people that think its fake. i have a overclocked gbc 3x faster

  • That's not overclocking. That's just software speed hacking.

  • Shh, don't let my overclocked GBA hear you say that. It might quit working!

  • @Modd3d OH I get IT!!!! HAHAHA :D OMG!! That is Funny!!

  • @Jay12341235 thats interesting

    most modern software clocks itself

but older ibmxt/tandy software was reliant on slow clock speeds to run games

overclocking that older system literally made games run faster not smoother

a system like a game boy has a fixed clock rate so why would programers bother making the game fix its own clock rate?

  • imagine putting the proccesor of a laptop in that :O

  • Really?

    My PSP 3000 gets 333mhz

    Pwnd.

  • all psp's have 333mhz look it up and 33mhz in a computer is slow. my computer is 2.94ghz. like most modern computers.

  • Huh, he thought this was fast i simply pointed out my PSP gets 333 Mhz now compare that with what you seen here and ask yourself is that fast?

and i have an i7 3.2 ghz quad core so i win.

  • ohhh i see what you were saying lol yes you win your computer is faster.

  • i jsut realized both your names consists ofr balls and wieners lol

  • If it's single core then it is slow :p

  • lo nice

  • i got a black Gameboy advance :) (and that's my only gameconsole :D)

  • man there is no point to overclockign one of these

  • jajajj

  • Dude, that thing probably killz the battery...

  • holy crap.

  • I've got the exact same transparent purple GBA with the Afterburner built in.

  • i bet it was allmoast 3 mz

  • the stock CPU speed of a GBA is 16.8MHz.

  • really? the ps1 had 33mhz

  • i think it was more like 200 mhz or over

  • nope the dreamcast had 200mhz, ps2 had 294mhz, ps1 has 33.8688 MHz to be exact

  • Really?

    That can't be right

the PSP has a processor of 333.something mhz

It can barley play PS1 games...

  • It's true, check wikipedia. Imagine that GAMEBOY CLASSIC had only 4 mhz and it runs game from 2000 yr! (pokemon silver), same mhz with GAMEBOY color (8 mhz in gbc games, but basic 4mhz).

  • yeah 'cause it's emulated, it ain't designed to run it, I run ps1 games on my pc no probs (2.2 ghz radeon 1600) but with like a 500mhz pc its really hard, barely runs at all

  • Hmm strange

i can run PS1 games on my quad 2.9 and my dual 2.2 and again on my old 233 mhz all without problems =S

    and fair enough

  • I used to have a 266mhz and bleem was quite fast, maybe I spoke too fast, it's been a while, anyways I can run it now at over 400 fps so... :D

  • 400 fps? im gonna have to call bullshit on that one

the graphics chip wouldn't be able to take the strain of that

And you wouldn't have any way of mesuring it... since your TV will have a max of either 50 or 60hz and unless you knew how to program a fps counter (not to difficult but i wouldn't know how to put it onto a ps1) there is no way of telling

so sorry but i think that's just a lie...

but the 266mhz part was ok

  • There is a way in epsxe to unlock the frame limiter, and my friend it says 400fps and the gameplay is exactly 6.6666666666666666666666666666667 times faster than at normal speed, now I'm not debating on the fact that 400 fps is better than 60 because it's not...but it makes saving a game a breeze! And don't try to explain cycles per second to me ok, I make music I know exactly what a cycle is. And also how pal is 50hz (25 fps) and we ntsc are at 60hz (29.97 fps)

  • 50hz has the potential to be 50 fps....

as does 60 to be 60fps...

Secondly just because the game is running faster dosn't mean you will get more fps

if you i dunno ran around a corner in a game when the clock speed is normal then you will get say 30 fps

if you speed it up and record it when you slow it down you will get about 12 fps for the same action

And saving isn't about processor speed unless you've somehow inceased the rate at which data is written to the memory card

  • You've lost me there you make no fuckin sense! That is not even what I'm talking about...stfu please...

  • "but it makes saving a game a breeze!"

Increasing the clock speed would not increase the rate at which it saves

  • I was talking about epsxe, when I play Gran turismo2 it takes like 10-15 seconds to save right, are you with me? epsxe's engine will increase the framerate AND gameplay at the same time, thus saving takes me 2 seconds.

See this as like pitch shifting a song without pitch correction or master tempo. (It's DJ talk) lol

  • Yeh i do some mixing as well so i understand what your saying

but it's different on a playstation than it is in music in that sense

yes it will speed up how fast things happen while your playing the game

but the speed at which data is written to the memmory card is completely separate to that

    well not completely

but it's a different part of the ps1 and the rate at which data is written is all dependant on how fast that component can write the data. Increasing the speed of the ps1 won't help

  • I think you're just Trying to get me going, epsxe, is an emulator for the computah! when I press and hold the number 9, I can unlock the frame rate limiter, and the gameplay becomes super fast, I can also set my own frame rate for example 70 fps instead of the regular 60 so when I start a game my slow cars will go slightly faster, and btw, GT2 is 60 fps

  • OOOH i thought you were talking about a modded PS1! ah that makes a lot more sense

then yeh if you speed everything up depending on what's in your computer then yeh it will speed up save time =D

    Sorry complete missunderstanding there

  • No probs, I tried recording it to show it to you with a software called "fraps" but it gobbles way too much cpu that I'm lucky if I get to 90 fps while i'm playing...But it does work tho.

  • Lol i know most programs out there

i've been using computers for a good 16 years now and yeh fraps does use up quite a fair amount of processing power

but on my shiney quad 2.9ghz it doesn't make a difference =D

  • I'm Jealous!!! me wanty, if I wouldn't have bricked my dual core 2ghz laptop with radeon x1600 i'd be happier (the laptop is 3 yrs old but is way faster than my current athlon 3200+ @2.2ghz)

  • Can i have the broken laptop? =D

i'm a collecter for old computer stuff

i have 4 laptops and 9 old computers

And i was running on an old 800mhz until about 4 years ago

then upped to a dual 2.4

and now up to a quad 2.9

but now im kinda screwed because of the whole recession thing and i still owe about 340 thousand gbp

but ah well keep the hope alive and all that

  • hells no, I paid 3000 for it back in the day, ill have to look around for a used mobo or cpu (if I overheated the cpu that is, and not the graphics chip) Besides it's an acer aspire, which is funny 'cause I thought I did my research but it turns out it's the worst thing ever, It never ran right, always overheated... It was actually sitting on a shelf these past 2 years cause something was wrong, then fixed it recently, then bricked it again recently, now no led's light up. wtf u owe 340 grand?

  • yeh i know...brought a house for 470 and i was 2 years ahead of the mortgage

but now the money in my bank is going down fast and i have about 9 thousand as rescue money incase i get into deep debt but it looks like thats going to be in about 3 years if the economy doesn't sort itself out even partially

And burning out the CPU on a laptop is VERY annoying because some chips are wired and soldered in and removing them can be quite fidley

Im ok now but i remember they were VERY annoying

  • Ouch, I know the housing in the u.k. is Surreal, but man... some houses here go for 160,000$ can$ which is like +/- 80,000 gbp.

Yeah my cpu is easily removable but my video chip is soldered, even tho it has dedicated video ram.I'm afraid I might have touched my mobo with a magnetized screwdriver, then again my thermal paste was shyte everywhere. The funniest thing is I was gonna buy thermal paste the following day, What a shame.

  • the pound has crashed

it's up at about 140,000 for 160,000 or something

im screwed =D and man don't get me started about magnetic screwdrivers

    bloody nuisance

went to replace the graphics chip and i thought it was a normal screwdriver

completely ruined a perfectly good laptop

And it's not to bad to replace

just make sure you take pictures of which wire goes to where and you will be fine

It's finding a place that sells the correct chip that's the hard part

  • was that my game?

  • wow thats th afterburner backlight!

ive got gba sp only but i miss my white gba!

i shouldn't ve traded it in for the sp!

can i send you a GBA to mod with a backlight!

i want one or i can buy a PSP and play some VBA emulators on it instead!

  • The theme sounds cooler in speed! =D

  • should i mod my gold GBA?

    i got it from bestsku[dot]com

they sell the limited edition New York Pokecenter Pokemon Gold version for $59

  • I have this game and if u beat it all u get a secret charecter but u have too get a star in every diffuculty plus u get the secret charecter and he is Waluigi

  • fast music = awesomeness

  • wait i thought gba didnt have a backlight

  • he put one in it.

  • i wonder how you do that

  • just buy regular LEDs and fit them to the circuit board and mount them. easy when you know what you're doing. it can even be done to the game boy color.

  • although ironically this person used a kit.

  • yo how u do the back lights msg plz

  • It's an Afterburner backlight kit from triton labs. Unfortunately I don't know of anywhere you can get them any more.

  • whats the point of overclocking a GBA? the answer? POKEMON.

  • Pokemon doesn't lag m8.

  • its not about lag, its just playing PKMN at 2x speed or higher is just better because if your like me, you can read faster, and battle faster.

  • i agree because pokemon is a game that doesn't matter how fast or how slow you go. you can go at your own pace like you can be in the middle of playing and put it down for like an hour and it will be the same so it is good to make it faster if you want to go faster.

  • no, DOOM lags, thats why

  • Why do people overclock gameboys? Playing a game twice the speed is stupid, and nobody does it.

  • well he did slow it down too, and in a raceing game that could be useful. and like my other comment to you on another vid its useful in games like pokemon to level them up, and hey if your so against this why the hell did you look it up? do u just like to waste your time and disrespect anyone who has an ability that you dont have, they dont JUST mod these game boys

  • HOW u did the leds back light?

  • Its funny that when the gba light flashes for low battery it seems to slow down flashing when u "put it in underclocked mode" this is utter bullshit.... it is possible but its probably a little to hard for this 10 yr old

  • old game boy advances don't flash for low battery, the led turns red.

  • eeeerrm... wtf? xD

  • What is the point of overclocking a gameboy anyways

  • I always wanted to get the afterburner backlight for my advance :( I hated the advance SP

  • Is it me or is there just nothing happening because to me that looks like a load of shit

  • dude what happened

  • WHAT ARE OU EVEN DOING

    i dont notice anything

  • the flags speed up and down after he presses certain buttons.

  • cool

  • and by the way about the micro i was talking about the other vid

  • ive got this game today but the background is orange why? nice mod

  • The background in the title is orange because it was completed. (eg has all the special tracks etc)

  • Please teach me how to do this!

  • cool but why did you do it to the poor poor gameboy micro

  • Thats not a micro dumbass. Its the first game boy advance.

  • why are you calling someone a "dumbass" for not getting the name right, you smartass.

  • Why are you calling me a smartass for not even talking to me. Dind ding knock knock its smartass jones talking to nobody but his ass!

  • you're obviusly speech impared, so I don't really feel like arguing with you.
