  • we have alot of baby geese at horshoe lake I.L.

  • lol i only have 2 :)

  • I enjoy this.

  • is that as crack pipe on the ground

  • D'aawwwwww that's so cute. Though I do have to ask, how the hell did you get THAT close without being attacked. Also I didn't know that geese could have that many babies

  • @bananaphoneman12 Canadian Geese typically lay about 5-8 eggs per season and usually only half survive. There is likely several parents in this flock of geese.

One interesting this about Canadian geese is they like to be in a large flock except when they are nesting. If a Family of geese come near another family that is nesting; the father will attack the male in the other family.

Once all the eggs are hatched; they are not as territorial and not as likely to attack.

  • @bananaphoneman12 Geese actually babysit each other's goslings. So what we're seeing is the gosling "daycare."

  • Aww

  • they are so cute. but i heard the adults hissing. try not to get too close. :-)

  • AWWWWWWWW I WANT ONE!!!!!!! :DDDD :(

  • I wanna clean one in my sink with lots of bubbles :D

  • I wanna huggem all O_O

  • yeah them geese will attack me if i get close.

  • wow nice camera

  • check out my vid its about baby geese takeing a bate :D here

  • @delameu actually research has been done that suggests that the reason baby animals (and humans) are so "cute" is so their parents will want to take care of them. its just a theory but i think it applies

  • what are you feeding them?

  • haha i love the noise that they make !

  • i love catching them

  • OMG im surprised that they would let u feed the babies so closely without the mothers or fathers hesitating

  • @whoathere154

Hahaha, I've tried that ones and the mother/father bit me. XD

  • @whoathere154 they are problibly theres the person makeing the vid :/

  • i wish i could pick one up and run with it =\

  • Lots of Ryan Goslings

  • i wonder if evolution made babies cute so we would feel bad at killing them

  • wow so much chatter, hehe, sweet

  • Wow, they REALLY got busy!

  • i love how cute they are and how nice they are that you are so close to them,

when i walk by a pond when im walkin to school they sometimes try to chase me down lol

  • 0:25 to 0:31 :-)

  • holy crap! are they all from one mom?

  • cute!!!!!\

  • I've seen a lot of geese before but never this much gooslings by just one parent. Normally I see it up to only half the amount. I wonder if the parents adopted other gooslings.

  • Amazingly cute.

  • Adorable! I've been taking lots of pictures of geese for a while, and I recently managed to take some pictures and a video of goslings. They are so cute, but the problem is that the parents are very protective. In fact, recently, I was hissed at by one or two of them when they were with their babies. :( Were you, by chance, hissed at, too? I thought I heard some hissing in the background.

  • My mom and dad bought me some today and I was wondering if there is a way to tell if they are a boy or girl at this age. If anyone can share information please message me.

  • theyre like little muffin tops =D so cute!!

  • ahh furry mob!!!

  • sooo cuuuuuuuuuuuute! Today, my dad pulled out this bird like animal from his truck cuzz I love animals and it turns out it was a baby goose so I held it and walked it back to it's family!!! It was sooo cuuuuuuute!

  • sooooooooooooo cute!!!

  • Were they all from that one parent? There's so many!

  • If you look closely you will see differences in the size of the goslings. I would guess that there is at least 3 families of goslings here. Canada Geese usually lay about six eggs. The adult pair looking after the brood is the most dominant pair.

Often family groups will mingle and separate, each time the numbers of goslings will vary.

You typically see this behavior in park settings where breeding pairs are concentrated. At 57 sec. you can see two more goslings leaving another adult pair!

  • @MamaOAwesome All 26. (Not counting the parents [They're SO cute!])

  • Thats quite a huge number

  • GOSLINGS!
